Have you tried asking your current doctor for a referral? They can often help you find the best local treatment options. ## Hi there... My previous doctor is no longer practicing and I have been a CPP for more than 20 years. For the last 7, I was prescribed 2-80 mg Oxycontin ER twice a day and 30 mg oxycodone every 6 hours for breakthrough pain. I have not been able to find a doctor who accepts my insurance, most want cash and the visits are sky high-which I wouldn't mind if I was getting prescribed a long-acting and short-acting pain medicine.
