Found mixed with rx bottle of Toprol XL 100mg EQ tabs. Bottle was labeled and contains Ethex brand eq tablets. The patient also has had Toprol XL 50mg and 100mg brand name tablets within the last year or so from more than one pharmacy. The m is very similar to the m on the toprol tablet with the AMO marking. Thanks in advance for any assistance. ## There is actually more than one tablet with the M 50 marking, there is one that is Toprol, but several that aren't. 30 M ## The medication names are often misunderstood, so I like to add details to posts, whenever I can, that can clear this up and hopefully prevent some confusion. There is no medication on the market called Roxycotton or Roxicontin and there never was. This is actually a confusion of two different formulations of Oxycodone. One is a regular release of it that was originally under the name brand Roxicodone and the other is a time released formulation that's under the name brand Oxycontin. That said, while I don't have a picture to include, due to copyright reasons, yes there is a 30mg Oxycodone tablet with the marking 30 M, it's a very light blue color, round and has the 30 over a score line on one side and the M in a box on the other. There are many generic manufacturers and each one of them will make a pill that looks different. There are no rules saying that pills with the same ingredient have to look the same! The size, color, shape and imprint will all vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. The only relevant regulations from the FDA state that they must have unique imprints for identification purposes, but these will even differ by manufacturer and strength of the med. v on one side and 4212 ## This is NOT Vicodin! This is Methocarbamol 750mgs, a generic for Robaxin which is a muscle relaxant. gg235 ## If the pill is pink and really says GG 235 then it IS NOT oxycontin, rather it is generic promethazine 50mg, generic for Phenergan. It is an antihistamine typically used to control moderate to severe nausea among other things. Side effects include drowsiness, dizziness, headache, among other side effects. ## Also, there are several generic forms of oxycontin 40mg now so it would be hard to pull up each picture. There are no proprietary guidelines for the way pills look in the pharmaceutical industry, thus there are tons of pills with that description, some are Ritalin, some aren't. ## I have a small, flat, oval shaped pill. It is scored on the same side of the imprint. One half above the scored line it is imprinted 301 or possibly 10E. On the other half below the scored line is a symbol that looks like an S with a diagonal line passing through the center, touching the end of the S's tails. I was told this is Methylin but it doesn't come as such in any pill identifier I've used. Does anyone what this is? Thanks a ton for your time. I sincerely appreciate it.
