I should not be taking NEXIUM if I have a serious liver problem. I can looked it up on the internet! ## Have you discussed it with your doctor? Did they suggest you use Nexium? Nexium contains the active ingredient Esomeprazole, it is used to reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach to treat or prevent conditions such as heartburn and ulcers. And, while it can affect how certain other medications may be processed by the liver, it doesn't actually list that it shouldn't be taken by those with liver problems. It just says that their daily dosage needs to be carefully adjusted. Learn more:

I have diabetes my dr said my kidneys are normal however my liver is swollen ## Diabetes can cause organ damage, it it isn't under control, or wasn't diagnosed for awhile and was out of control. What are you current blood sugar readings? It really means that you have to use your medications, as directed by your doctor, and follow a proper diet and exercise plan to keep your blood sugar under control and prevent further damage. In a lot of cases, if they have found no other signs of problems or decreased liver function, they will not pursue treatment, but will keep an eye on it, in the future, by doing regular tests to see if it progresses or starts to become problematic. if you take hydrocodone in large doeses overe a long time , how will it afect your liver? ## Well, very negatively to put it mildy. It is processed through your liver, plus if you are taking it in the usual available form with Acetaminophen, you are giving your liver a double whammy as Acetaminophen is toxic at a daily dose of 4,000mgs or 4grams.
