I was just Rx'd Provigil (modafinil), which is a mild stimulant for Narcolepsy, Sleep Apnea, and Shift Work Sleep Disorder. In my case, it's for mixed sleep apnea and Hypersomnia, (which is similar to Narcolepsy). Well, I am currently scheduled to have a lumbar L5-S1 DISCECTOMY. Consulting w/ the Neurosurgeon and agreeing to surgery was around 3 days AFTER I started taking the Provigil (modafinil). The Neurosurgeon Rx'd oxycodone/APAP 10-325 for pain control in the meantime...oh surgery is in 3 weeks. Here's the real question. I have ALWAYS been a strange opiate metabolizer when it comes to Pro-Drugs or drugs that rely on being broken down by specific liver enzymes in order for the REAL effective metabolites to do their magic. For instance, and I apologize if this is com...

I have been told over & over that my prescription for oxycontin has expired after 14 days. I have had this problem with CVS Caremark, Inc Mail Order Pharmacy numerous times. This went on throughout 2014 & in to 2015. They continue to screw with me. They will fill it, then they won't. I have been told by my Dr. who's office is in NV that it is valid for 30 days, but because I live in Arizona, CVS says it's expired after 14 days. I know for a fact it is still valid but they continue to argue with me. I am wondering if any one else has experienced this problem with CVS & if you'll be so kind as to reaffirm the RX is still valid after 14 days. They have also gone as far to tell me the reason they are holding my RX was because the DEA no. is not on the RX when cle...

I prefer the brand by teva but cvs and rite aid say they are not able to order it any longer. can you advise me where i can obtain it? ## Does TEVA still make benazepril HCL 20mg? CVS. Caremark and Walmart all say they can no longer get it. One pharmacist thought he had heard FDA shut down TEVA production of benazepril. Does anyone know about this and whether TEVA benazepril HCL 20mg is available? ## According to Teva's product page, they still have Amlodipine + Benazepril Hydrochloride capsules listed as something they make. The available dosage strengths are as follows: 2.5 mg/10 mg 5 mg/10 mg 5 mg/20 mg 5 mg/40 mg 10 mg/20 mg 10 mg/40 mg Ref: tevagenerics.com/product/amlodipine-and-benazepril-hydrochloride-capsules-usp For other product information/availability I'd encourage ...

I have been on levorphanol for approx. 12 years and is only medicine I've found that helps my rsd pain along with central and peripheral pain issues. I've tried a lot of med and this drug works the best without vomiting and other side effects. Now less than a week b4 I am going to be out of medicine I get a call from Caremark telling me they can't get it. What is ur suggestion? ## Hello, Cindy! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're run into this problem. Have you checked with other pharmacies near you? I searched the FDA shortage and discontinuation databases and there is nothing about either one being a problem with this medication. However, there is only one manufacturer, so there's a chance that demand may have exceeded current supply, since the reporting of...

I have CVS Caremark and I get my meds delivered monthly without any issues. I don't understand why so many people have such a hard time with this. You do have to send in your hard copies and there is an overnight option for your mess to be sent back but honestly I have never had an issue. Now I do understand there are allot of people without insurance and I am sorry for that for if it was not for my insurance I would be in the exact same boat. Good luck to all. ## HI, Dman! How are you? It's great of you to post to inform others. However, in some states, controlled substances can no longer be shipped, due to the very high levels of theft and diversion that they had, so they had to put an end to it. It is an option that is still open for many insured people, but those without are...

? ## my husband was prescribed colchizine for gout and while he was given a white pill manufactured by Visions he had no attacks. He was given a yellow pill and had symptoms/attacks and the pharmacist was advised. They returned to the white/Visions Rx and again he was attack free. He now was given the yellow pill and is suffering not only a recurrence of symptoms but is having a severe attack in places he never had gout before. I am waiting to contact the supplier who sent this Rx (Caremark) when business opens today but my local pharmacist has told me Visions no longer makes colchizine. If anyone has a suggestion please advise. ## That is, unfortunately, a common problem with some generic medications. See under U.S. law, generic drugs are actually allowed to differ from their name bran...

Fexofen-D was given to me by my CVS Caremark. On the third day on this medicine I slept all day and had trouble trying to wake up. Xpect-at is a very good drug for relieving congestion without increasing blood pressure as do may decongestants. I have difficulty finding this drug due to manufacterer back order at the mail order pharmacy (Caremark). When it is available at a local pharmacy, I am only able to get a 30 day supply. Is there anything I can do to obtain this drug through Caremark pharmacy so that my cost are lowered? ## I am not sure about that, have you tried contacting the manufacturer? The limited availability might just be a temporary thing that they are working on resolving. If their demand for this was previously low, and then suddenly went up due to more popularity of us, they might be having some production issues that they are working on to resolve the problem. In additon, there are now some OTC ...

Checking to see if white pill, marked M and then 3 below the cut line, is in fact metoprolo er tab suc 100mg. First time I've seen these. They are larger than the last generics I got. I'd feel better if the 3 were a 1..... CVS - caremark sent these. The local CVS had no idea what they were. ## My last prescription for Metoprolo er tab suc 50mg was a white round with m50. Doctor called in prescription renewal. They are a thicker round white pill with m2. Mfr is Dr. Reddy's. I don't know mfr of m50. Both are mail order from CVS Caremark. Are these the same pill? ## Yes, from what I've found, both of these tablets are listed in the prescription drug databases as extended release Metoprolol. The one with the M2 contains 50mgs and the one with the M3 contains 100mgs. For ...

They work fantastic relieving pain, easy to use, peeling adhesive patch from clear sleeve. CVS Caremark recently sent me another company's patches. Don't like them. ## Lidocaine is a topical anesthetic that is used to treat mild pain caused by various muscle, and skin conditions. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including skin redness, flakiness, inflammation, and irritation. Mary Ellen, which patches did you receive this time? Who is the listed manufacturer?

The pamphlet the dr gave said the cost would be about $70 per month without insurance and $45 with insurance. I work for the govt and have bcbs and CVS wanted me to pay $212 because they said I have federal insurance and couldn't use the pharmacy. What is everyone else paying and why can't I use this savings card? Why am I being penalized? When will it be available through Caremark mail ordering? What other pharmacy can I use if I can use this savings card? ## Hello, Wanda! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you've had. Usually, that only applies to those who receive subsidized insurance from the government, such as Medicare and that is exactly what I'm reading on the Contrave site. This does not usually apply to insurance you have, because you work for th...

i have been taking metoprolol 50mg and just refilled the new pills are larger and have 369 stamped on one side and scored on the other. ## Is that the only marking? ## I, too, got a refill of Metoprolol succ ER 50 MG and noticed the change in pill size, larger, 369 printed on front and scored on back; questioned the pharmacist and change of manufacturer was the response. ## I think there could be more than 50mg in that large of a pill. Do any of you know? ## I'll bet you have Caremark. Metoprolo ER, they write, is the trade name for the generic metoprolol succinate made by the Ethex Co. I checked their web site and the image is what you describe. ## Okay, has anyone taken the large Metoprolol pills without issue? I just picked up my refill and they too have the 369 on them?
