I am taking Lonazep 0.25mg, one tab daily at night for the past 10 days. 1) Are there any side effects of this medicine if taken for months? I, a 19 year old girl Had been suffering from severe iron deficiency anemia since 2008,but was misdiagnosed with anxiety disorder and put on Lonazep 0.25(for insomnia due to anemia). I took it for 14 months before being put on iron replacement therapy. Within a month I started having normal sleep and withdrew Lonazep, but by this time I had developed impaired balance, cognitive debilities and amnesia.Six months have passed since then but I still suffer from the side-effects, although they have reduced slightly.Is it going to be permanent brain damage? What do I do? i have been taking the dozage since last 6 years and what i am experiencing is a constant loss of memory, hair loss & immense weight gain. Please suggest can any of these sideeffects be over comed and even may decline. My weight is 111 kgs and my total dozage per day is that of 1800mg.
