My mother is suffering for epilepsy. She has been admitted to the hospital 8times for last 1 and 1/2 years. Doctor prescribed her Lobazam 5 and Levipil 500. Now she is feeling drowsy and some time she has lost her balance. If it is a side effect of the medicine, then what should be our course of action? ## Clobazam is a Benzodiazepine derivative and yes, it can cause some dizziness and drowsiness, as a side effect. Levipil contains Levetiracetam, it is an anticonvulsant and it can cause the same types of side effects. So, the two together could even be compounding the problem. How long has she been taking them? My wife is 29 yrs old. She got a fit attack last night. We did CT scan and there findings were " Findings are suggestive of inflammatory granuloma, neurocystercosis with calcified dot". Regarding past history:- She got first fit attack at the age of 12(No medication done). Second attack at age of 16yrs. (Took medicine Eptoin for 3 yrs and stopped medicine as per doctor advise and CT scan result) Now got 3rd attack at age of 29 as mentioned at top. my 2yr old son was suffering from fever. I gave him a dose of lobazame along with combliflam suspension. fever decreased but for last 10 days he is unable to walk straight on his feet. He is unstable while walking n suffering from weakness.

Sir, My son is 9 years old now. He got sudden epileptic attack when he was 4 years old. Inspite of immediate admission in Hospital and rigerous treatment, he had continuous seizures for every 5 minutes. Nothing has been diagnosed in 5 MRIs and doctors say there is no structural diffect and having functional problem in EEG. He last all the activities slowly, including vision and hearing. My age is 58 and due to some problem in head consulted the neuro physician and he subscribed the above medicine and Levipil - 3 times a day and Lobazam 5 -1.5 tab at night and Pramipex ER 75 1 at night. As such now i have got started forgetting the work related matters and drowziness. Is there any side effect on this.

I fell unconcious twice within nine months and doctor prescribed cobosoft od im mornibg, lobazam .5mg at night and levipil 500mg 1--1--2. I'm taking all these medicine regularly only slight alteration levipil 500mg 1--1--1 for last 4/5 months without consulting doctor. I've no problem yet a bit worried. Please guide

Hi There, I'm aged 31 yrs ... and taking Levipil 500 mg 1 in Morning & 1 in night. Lobazam 5mg in morning & 10mg in night, Bplex Forte 1 tablet in night, Ativan 1 mg at night and Pantocid 40mg on empty stomach. Am using these tablets from 2013 and it's been almost 5 years now. I often get irritated and can see I lost most of my hair... I work in afternoon timings 3:30 pm to 12:30 am... and I don't sleep even for 5 hours a day. but I feel drowsy all through the day after my bath. I have an habit of smoking (1 pack) per day this habit is inculcated when i was 17 years. But i do not consume alcohol ... Now a days I observed..am not pleasuring my partner to full extent... i am an focal epilepsy patient since last 20 years. i have tried Sodium valporate for six years, tegritol for 5 years, topirol for 2 years. Now having lamitor 250 mg daily + lobazam mg daily. siezurs are not regular and i dont unconsius any time... only some stars seen to me sometimes very strong and sometimes for very few seconds I remain in full sense. Doctors say I have to get lamitor regularly. My daughter 15 years old having mixed seizure for one year. She was given Dicorate 1000 mg and Lenozap 0.25 mg at bed time. Now Doctor stopped that, and she was given Selzic 150 mg, Lobazam 10 mg, Neuropil 800. Kindly inform, what will be the side effects. Now she is feeling drowsy in all time.

My brother has been taken eptoin 100mg for more than 4 years till date with 2 doses a day and at present he is complaining of backaches and pain in the right leg which he cannot move and sometimes he is having breathing problem and weak.
