I have chronic pain from fibromyalgia, inflammatory arthritis, and bulging discs in my back. So far the doctors havent been able to do much to help with the various treatments that they are having me undergo. I had a medial branch block done last week, which is basically going in and numbing your nerves and it is supposed to make your pain go away for about six hours, if it works they go in and fry the nerve endings in the same area. Problem is since the initial procedure my pain went from a normal 5 to 6 to a regular 7 to 8 and that is if I dont do anything at all. My regular doctor was prescribing Norco 5/325 for me but now that I am associated with the pain center, she would like me to see them for everything from here on out. My goal is to find a treatment method that doesnt require...

DURATION TO TAKE THIS? ## Need more info on drugs molecules to understand drug intake and avoid side effects if any can be avoided ## Prolomet-XL contains the active ingredient Metoprolol, which is a beta blocker that is commonly used to treat high blood pressure, cardiac conditions and migraines. As to how long of a time period that you have to be on it, that really depends on why you are taking it. If you are using it to help control high blood pressure and/or a cardiac condition, then it is highly likely that you will be on this or a similar mediation for the rest of your life to keep those conditions under control. As to the side effects and avoiding them, not everyone experiences them and if you do, there is really no known way to avoid the side effec...

I've been seeing Reumatology Doctor for years. I have severe Fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, an auto-immune disorder, herniated discs, (2). I have also had 2 left knee replacements since 48 years old. I am now 58. I am in severe pain a lot of the time. The doctor doesn't know where to go with me because I take 6 oxycodone (15) and 2 Morphine Sulfate long acting (30mg) a day. I'm moving to the Media Area and I need another Doctor as soon as I can. My phone number is {edited for privacy}. Please tell me who I can go to. On amlodipine ramipril and prochlorperazine how long would you expect side effects to last surfing dizziness headaches ## Hello, Julie! How are you? They typically last about 4 to 5 weeks, while your body is getting used to the mediations, then they tend to start to ease off in severity and eventually go away entirely. You may also experience nausea, increased urination and hypotension, as reported by the FDA. How long have you been taking them?

Hi everyone, I am curious if anyone has experienced intermittent vision loss while being on levothyroxine. For about two months now my vision in my left eye will randomly disappear for 2-3 seconds and then slowly dissipate back to normal. I've been through a litany of exams -- retinal, cardiovascular, MRI/MRA -- that are all coming back clear and now we're wondering if it could be the medications I am on. I am also on humalog, lisinopril and Simvastin. Has anyone experienced symptoms like this with levothyroxine? ## Hello, Julia! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. Looking over your list of mediations, there is a chance that it might be due to the Simvastatin, according to the FDA, it has been known to cause several vision issues, which usually g...

Please answer my question about taking Forskolin (weight loss supplement touted by Dr Oz) while on amlodipine, atenol and losartan. Is there an interaction here? ## Hello, BJ! How are you? It's not a good idea to take anything recommended by Dr. Oz, without checking with your doctor. Many of his recommendations were found to not have any scientific validity or medial proof and he is currently under investigation for making unfounded claims for many of the products he touts. You can find various stories in many popular and well known new sources regarding this, as well as cautionary warnings. Additionally, if you have high blood pressure, you have to be very careful what supplements you take, as some of them may act as stimulants, which could elevate heart rate and blood pressure, as...

Especially the Hydrocodone with the Acetaminophen, no single dosing of that should exceed 1,000mgs. How many have you been instructed to take, per dose, by your doctor? Both of these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## Keep in mind that it is very rare for someone to overdose on Tramadol alone, but Tramadol in combination with other drugs can be very dangerous and lead to death. ## Yes, what Dan said is correct, but that's in respect to any mediation, not just Tramadol.
