I should not be taking NEXIUM if I have a serious liver problem. I can looked it up on the internet! ## Have you discussed it with your doctor? Did they suggest you use Nexium? Nexium contains the active ingredient Esomeprazole, it is used to reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach to treat or prevent conditions such as heartburn and ulcers. And, while it can affect how certain other medications may be processed by the liver, it doesn't actually list that it shouldn't be taken by those with liver problems. It just says that their daily dosage needs to be carefully adjusted. Learn more:

My best friend is in stage 4 liver cancer. The doctor has her on 125 ml of morphine. She has a patch containing morphine and pills with morphine. She doesn't say much about her pain. Does anyone know if this dose of morphine is strong?I know she is never without pain. ## Well, you didn't state the dosages of everything she is using, however, as long as she is being medically monitored on a regular basis, by her doctor, then there should not be a problem. There have been some in-depth studies done about the use of narcotics for people will severe illnesses and whether or not high doses of them had a detrimental effect and/or hastened death and they found no connection. As long as the person's dosage has been gradually increased, as needed, over time, then the body quickly adj...

I have liver cancer and am takeing purbac for bladder infections, I am very sick on the tablets, is there an alternative? ## Hello, Frans! How are you? The U.S. FDA lists the typical side effects of this antibiotic as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. The appropriate antibiotic depends on which bacteria has caused the relevant infection. Is there anything else I can help with?

I developed a liver problem due to breast cancer (metastasis to liver) and am now having jaundice and stomach pains. Please share your thoughts on how I should go about healing my body? ## Do you have any specific information on your liver problem? Can you post back and be more specific? Are you currently on any medications, or chemotherapy? Pain, and jaundice are typical of most liver issues, accord to the FDA, but the proper treatment for them depends on more specific details. How is your breast cancer doing? Have you been cleared of it?

I am currently waiting for a 3 operation to remove bladder cancer and I was wondering if Nexavar was any useful to stop bladder cancer growing and if I could take it. I hope for a quick anwer, thanks. ## Nexavar is a drug approved for the treatment of primary kidney cancer (advanced renal cell carcinoma) and advanced primary liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma). In my opinion, it sounds like it may be worth a shot to try it and see how it works for you over the coarse of a few weeks. This should be enough time to assess its effectiveness. In addition to this, I would also strongly suggest eating a diet comprised of mostly fresh fruits and vegetables, as in my opinion, eating alkaline foods may be the most helpful in fighting any form of cancer. Hope this helps and I wish you the best...

I know someone with stage 4 breast cancer. It has spread to her liver, she has a tumor on her breast bone, etc. How has H-86 worked against this aggressive stage of cancer? ## Hi Michelle, From what I understand, there are no real reports of H-86 being a legitimate cancer drug. There are less than a handful of vague articles that briefly state it's use for such treatments. One other user on here found information claiming it to be a type of fermented wheat germ; however I personally have yet to come across any specific details linking them to one another. If anyone else out there has more information on this H-86 substance, please do share! On a side note, I would like to add that there are several (yes, several) other types of natural cancer killers out there if you do the research...

i am on Angelique for two weeks and has a family history of breast cancer. Is it safe to use it as i also had hepatitis A in 2014. But my liver is more than okay now. ## Any type of hormonal supplementation could increase your risk of cancer, including breast cancer, according to the NIH. Why was it prescribed? Are you on any other medications? Its other side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, and PMS-like symptoms.

Hi, Sorry for my English but as the knowledge of this medicin is more advanced in the United States, I prefer ask my question here. My friend has a secundary breast cancer ( now it went to her liver ) and my question is, if Tykerb is so bad for the liver how come that her doctor prescribed Tykerb ? Any answer to what are her chances ? Many thanks. Martine ## Tykerb is for solid tumours such as breast cancer. During development it was known as a small molecule. Patients who meet specific indication criteria may be prescribed Tykerb as part of combination therapy for breast cancer. Pharmacologically, lapatinib is a dual tyrosine kinase inhibitor that interrupts cancer-causing cellular signals. My daughter is in stage 4 lung cancer. Her liver levels were very high. Is it caused by OxyContin (60mg)? ## Hi Chi, I'm very sorry to hear about your daughter's condition. According to NIH.gov, "Oxycodone by itself has not been linked to serum enzyme elevations during therapy or to clinically apparent liver injury." However, they go on to note that the combination of oxycodone with acetaminophen is linked to many cases of acute liver failure caused by an unintentional overdose of acetaminophen. Source: livertox.nih.gov/Oxycodone Having said this, my theory is that OxyContin isn't the culprit. Is your daughter taking anything else or undergoing chemo? I hope she makes a full recovery.

Then went to my liver lung and brain. I take methadone 10, Oxycodone 5 and after January 1st,2013 I won't be able to get my hydrocodone 750`s. I have constant pain. Do you have any ideas to get rid of this pain. ## Hello, Lola! How are you doing? I am so sorry about what you've been going through. You might be able to just get the lower dose and take an additional Acetaminophen tablet, or half of a table with it. Have you checked with your doctor, yet? They will be able to let you know if it is safe for you to do that. ## Have you considered alternative treatments? Try the Jim Kelmun baking soda and molasses recipe for pain reduction. From right breast cancer removed and 12 lymph nodes also removed. After that it went to my liver, right lung and then my brain. Due to all the extreme surgeries I am in awful pain. Even though I take methadone, oxycodone and hydrocodone 750, January 1,2014 no more 750's. Pain 1 to 10 , I am A TEN. ## Hello, Lola! How are you doing? I'm very sorry that you're in so much pain, I hate to see anyone suffer. And yes, that is correct, there will not be anymore combination prescription products available with that amount of Acetaminophen after the new year. Have you discussed the issue with your doctor? They may be able to adjust the dose of one of your other medications to help you more.

I am 37 and have been on pain pills since I turned 15. I started street methadone to get off of IV Diladud 4mg (K4's). I got on the clinic the day after my 18th b-day. I have been on the clinic 95% of the time since. I found out I had Hep C in 1999. I had to have gotten it in 1995 or 96. The liver biopsy very much surprised my GI specialist. He Said my liver was moderately swollen, moderately scarred. and have extremely high risk for cirrhosis and liver cancer. it has gradually gotten worse, and as it says in medical literature I am finding myself needing a much higher dose ( 240mg split dose at home into two doses of 120mg). Every two weeks at the clinic I could take it in one 240mg dose. I also take Xanax 2mg TID. I am currently on 120mg total at the clinic. I live just west of Kn...

My Father has Liver cancer and Kidney stones, the doctor has prescribed Dolcet to treat the discomfort.
