The losartan by Cambe manufacturer I have taken for years. This week my pharmacist gave me losartan by Metho manufacturers. Now I have face swelling. Coukd this be caused by changing generic manufacturers and the different ingredients. Also it itches. ## Hello, Debbie! How are you doing? Has there been any change? Those could be the symptoms of an allergic reaction starting, according to NIH symptom lists, so it would be best to have this checked out by a medical professional. Have you experienced any other problems, such as difficulty breathing, or hives? Are you on any other medications?

I'm searching for a current list of generic Adderall manufacturers (2020). ## Hmmm, aside from calling pharmacies and finding out which brands they stock, it might be possible to stitch together some information based on a couple of different sources to get a rough idea of which companies currently manufacture generic Adderall. For example, if you search this site's NDC database for Amphetamine (one of the ingredients), it gives you a lot of results. Next to each result is a date, so if you go through the pages and look for the more current dates then that could give you an idea. Also, DailyMed has a similar list but I don't see dates unless you click on each record. Lastly you can also check on the FDA Recalls page periodically to see if any brands have specifically withdra...

Where can I find a list and rating for generic drug manufacturing companies? I've used generics for years without a problem, until recently. I'd like to become more informed about the names of the most reliable, highly qualified generic manufacturers versus those with lower ratings. Is there such a source? Who should I contact if I believe a generic drug I've bought is inferior? ## Deb, I hear we get a lot of our drugs from China that doesn't dose correctly. A person told me they put half the medication in some of the pain killer and that's why they don't work as well as name brand. When I buy Tylenol or Motrin I will not buy generic. You can ask your pharmacist to only order name brand meds but your insurance might not pay for it. ## I don't know where all th...

I got this generic drug from WalMart last year manufactured by Merck. It was amazing. Then they switched to same generic drug manufactured by TEVA Pharmaceutical (from white oval shaped pills in a bottle to little green pills in cardboard package), and they didn't do a darn thing. It was like not taking anything at ALL. Did Merck stop making the generic version? It used to have the monopoly on Cozaar before the generic version of losartan potassium came out. ## Hello, WaterBaby! How are you? The generic that any given pharmacy carries can change regularly, depending on what manufacturer was offering the cheapest price, at the time they needed to restock their supply. I am, however, not aware of Merck having made a generic, they are just listed as making the name brand. I have been t...

I have just had my generic Tramadol manufacturers switched by Rite-Aide and I am having serious problems with the new one. Rite-Aide says that they cannot get and will not get Tramadol from the former supplier. I cannot afford the non-generic drug. What recourse do I have? I was also told I cannot get a refill from a different pharmacy until this prescription has run out. I cannot take any other pain medication because of extreme sensitivity to them. It is vital that I have Tramadol but cannot take the ones I was just given from having the prescription filled at Rite-Aide. Please advise! ## They have not misinformed you and were honest. What types of problems are you having with the new one? It might be easier to get advice, if you are more specific. The FDA lists the typical side effec...

Hi everyone, I am taking Prozac generics and wondering about preferences in manufacturers. I believe the 20mg of Activist is not performing very well. My pdoctor has increased to 30mg by taking 3 10mg and would like to get a reputable manufacturer. Also would like to know about experience from people who were given Latuda to use with it. He gave me a sample pack but have been afraid to take it. ## I currently take the capsule manufactured by Aurobindo Pharmaceuticals for perimenopause symptoms, which include anxiety, and it works very well for me. I take 20mgs in the morning and 10mgs at night. I can't say how well it will work for you, though, since we are all different. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry...

Would like to know the manufacturer's name and place of origin. In other words, is it manufactured in the U.S. ## Since it is a generic, there are several manufacturers, so I can't answer your question without more information. Does the bottle list a manufacturer? Or, are there any markings on the tablets in question? If you can post back with this information, then I can discover who the manufacturer is and where they are located.

I was taking the Accord version of Wellbutrin since last December and doing really well on it. Last month I got the Lupin brand and my anxiety came back over the few weeks I took it knowing I had a different manufacturer. My anxious thoughts I had before meds came back and I got back on the Accord brand six days ago but anxious thoughts are still there. I took the lupin brand all month. Any idea how long before I start feeling well again on my regular brand of Wellbutrin? ## Unfortunately, there is no way to say with any certainty, since we can't know if your symptoms are due to the change in manufacturers, if they are due to your conditioning worsening, or if you have built up a tolerance to your current medication and dosage. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Wellbutrin as...

are there generic substitutes for aderall? what do they look like? ## Yes, Adderall is available in a generic form ranging from 5mg to 30 mg, and from various manufacturers. It contains a combination of Amphetamine + Dextroamphetamine. If you would like to see a comprehensive list of pictures, you can check the following URL. When it loads, just click on the link "More images". Do you have any more questions or information to add? Please post back if you do. ## I am trying to find out what pill they use for ADHD instead of Adderall that says 54 on one side and is reddish orangiest and oval shape and solid in form?

For many years Qualitest has furnished an excellent generic version of Ambien 10 mg. I have tried various other manufacturers ---Teva, Mylan and they do not work for me. I called Qualitest (now part of Endo and Par Pharma) --- customer service on 2/24/16 and they indicated that they are getting allot of inquiries and stopped producing it in Oct 2015, due to "inability to get certain ingredients." I find this bizarre. It was a great seller. My pharmacy also indicated that there is a posting that several other generic companies are also not shipping this product other than the 2 above. ## Hello, Chuck! How are you? Yes, that is correct, most manufactures have a shortage listed with no known date of availability. Shortages, such as this that say they can't get the relevant ingr...

I am trying to find the manufacturer of generic zpack, it was made in India and came in a white and purple box. If anyone knows the manufacturer please let me know. ## I was able to find a webpage that "seems" to list all of the Azithromycin brands from India. Maybe you can find a name that matches up with what your package says: drugsupdate.com/brand/showavailablebrands/222/20 NOTE: the names of corresponding manufacturers are listed in the bottom right corner of each box I hope this helps!

I have been on Citalopram for two years but recently switched my prescription from Walgreens to Target (for convenience). I discovered that these retailers get their Citalopram from different manufacturers (the pills look entirely different, for one; and, the mfr. is also listed on the label). Within a few weeks it was obvious that the new prescription wasn't doing as good as job. So, I switched back (to Walgreens) and I'm glad I did. Sure enough, I've been feeling better again. Lesson: You never kjnow: your body may respond better to one manufacturer's generic than another. I had read this was possible, and it ended up being true in this case for me. ## HI! I'm glad you were able to switch back to the one that worked better for you. They may not always get theirs fr...

I've suffered from dermatitis herpetaphormis for 35 years. The price of Dapsone has gone through the roof. Jacobus was the only maker for years. Now other companies are making the drug. Correct? My pharmacist says no, but I saw different manufacturers. Is there a buyer's club or something? I must have this but cant afford the new increase in price. Can someone help me? ## No, there is no buyers club, but yes, you are correct, the tablets are being manufactured by 3 other companies, Fera Pharmaceuticals, Nsotrum Laboratories, and Virtus Pharmaceuticals, according to NIH listings. Have you tried a different pharmacy? Another one might be more helpful regarding checking various prices for you. What is your current pharmacy charging for it?

What markings does the Fioricet/Butalbital have on the white tablet and who is the manufacturer? I can not take the blue tablet form as something in it makes me ill. Thank you. ## Fioricet contains the active ingredients Acetaminophen, Butalbital and Caffeine, it is most commonly used to treat migraines. These are several white tablets on the market, since it is available as a generic and I can pinpoint any specifically, since you didn't list your dosage. I also don't have a list of manufacturers for all of them, however, here are some markings on the white tablets, so you can see if you recognize any: White, round, 2355 V (Vintage/Qualitest Pharmaceuticals) White, oval, MIA 110 White, oval, 2357 V (VIntage/Qualitest Pharmaceuticals) White, oval, 3416 WPI White, oblong M (in a s...

Does Fexofenadine contain gluten? I have been suffering with chronic hives and none of my med seem to help. Can anyone help? ## Fexofenadine is exactly that, nothing else, what you need to look at is the other ingredients in the pills, the inactives that are the fillers and binders they use to give the pill significant substance and hold it together in the desire shape and consistency. These 'inactive' ingredients differ, depending on the manufacturer, there are certain standards for what can be used, however, there are many options and the various generic med manufacturers do not all have to use the same ones. That said, with the little information your provided, I cannot tell you what is in those inactive ingredients, as listing is usually available under the professional pres...

My pharmacy has changed manufacturers of escitalopram and I feel withdrawal or discontinuation syndrome. Is this normal? ## Hello, Tina! How are you? There can be slight fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient from one generic to another, so the new one may be a little lower, which could be causing the problem. Have you spoken to your doctor? They may want to prescribe the name brand to avoid this, in the future, or even raise your dose slightly to make up for the discrepancy. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight changes. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I was taking the Forest Lexapro until 6 weeks ago when I switched to Lundberg (same dosage). 3 weeks ago I started experi...

My Atorvastatin from the same pharmacy (Walmart) had GRE on the label one time and LEG on the same medicine the next time. What does GRE and LEG mean? Are they different? ## No, it is the same medication, those are just abbreviations for the manufacturers, since this is a generic. For example, the GRE usually stands for Greenstone, which is the name of a pharmaceutical manufacturer. The FDA lists the typical side effects for this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and joint/muscle aches. Is there anything else I can help with?

I had testosterone inj's. at my Drs, office and the chart only lists a lot number. How can I find out if these inj's. were generic or brand name drugs? ## @BillyG, From what I could gather, lot numbers are issued by the manufacturer of the medication. Apparently each batch of whatever product these manufacturers make are assigned this unique set of numbers to help them monitor and keep track of certain drugs that require recalls, shipping orders, or other important measures. One article I read suggested that it be thought of as a medication's social security number in that sense. I think the only way to know for sure what you were given at the doctor's office that day would be to call in or ask during your next appointment. I hope this helps!

pain ## what is the active drug in mylan 155 ## will it mess you up ## This tablet was listed by Mylan as containing 650mgs of Acetaminophen, and 100mgs of Propoxyphene, which was a generic for Darvocet, a mild opiate analgesic. The FDA warned that it carried the risk of being habit forming, and it was removed from the market due to the frequency of overdoses that it caused, as well as its risk of cardiac problems. The inactive ingredients in this particular tablet are: D&C Red No. 30 hypromellose magnesium stearate microcrystalline cellulose polyethylene glycol polysorbate 80 povidone sodium lauryl sulfate sodium starch glycolate type A potato titanium dioxide Although this list may not apply to all manufacturers. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am not sure how Mallinckrodt's generic products (quality) are in general, but if you take generic Adderall IR, it is horrible! Very weak, with an obvious lack of efficacy. Does anyone here have feedback on how Mallinckrodt's Adderall might compare to other drug manufacturers? ## What are the markings on them? Sometimes the manufacturer listed on the bottle is a licensed distributor, but sharing the pill imprint would enable others to double check on this as well as determine how the various inactive ingredients (binders/fillers) compare to other brands or generics on the market.
