Does liquid morphine come in a blue color? ## Colors actually mean nothing, it is entirely up to the manufacturer and what they wish to make it look like. So, it is highly possible that it could be blue, clear or any other color. Why do you ask? Etoshine contains the active ingredient Etoricoxib, this is a COX-2 Selective Inhibitor, used to treat pain and inflammation. ## The liquid morphine I have is yellow in color. Is this really morphine? ## Does it come in purple liquid? ## What color is the 100 mg liquid morphine made by a company called Lanette? I have an old bottle I found in a house I just moved into.

How many different green liquid medications are there? My mom is prescribed liquid medicine and I need to know the name of it. It's green and highly addictive. ## My dad is on hospice. His morphine is blue. His morphine pills are blue. I hate giving it to him, but I hate him suffering more. I usually make sure he's on his oxygen really well before administering the meds. He usually screams out or he asks for it. I know he's hurting because in his lifetime he's only taken Tylox for maybe four days after surgery. The only other pain killer has been a Tylenol for headache. He hated medicine. I've had pain so severe until I've been on dilaudid and Actiq the pain lollipops. My doctor had to wean me off. That was a result of six back to back surgeries. I think I will a...

liquid is clear an has a bitter taste is this liquid morphine sulfate ## Was it provided by a reputable clinic, or doctor? That is the only way to be sure. If it was obtained from some other source, there is no way to be sure. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, and constipation.

Hi! I have been on 16 -24 mg of suboxone for almost 3 years now. I have been having some really painful tooth aches, and am waiting to get into my dentist for oral surgery most likely, so I go off and on in extreme pain. Every couple days, what I have been doing rather than just taking my sub, is taking my sub dose in the morning, and then in the evening around 8 taking an oxycodone 40 mg, to help with pain. It of course doesn't give that euphoric feeling, but it does help with the pain more than just my morning sub. I go to sleep, and 10 hours after I can take my suboxone no problem, without PAWS. I know lots people say 24 hours, but I am fine with 10, or even 8. Now last night I was in soooo much pain... I didn't bother to get an oxycodone, thinking it wouldn't be a bad ni...

So I got liquid Morphine that expired November 2014. Is it still any good? ## Hello, Mike! How are you? No, you should just dispose of it. Liquid medications degrade much faster than other forms, so not only will it no longer be effective, but it may also have gone bad and could make you ill if you take it. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Calledordine5 oral solution on the lable hydrochloride morphine wot is this used and wot does it do to u if u administer 50units ## Hello, Wasted! How are you? According to the U.S. FDA, Morphine is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. 50 units may be dangerous, to some people, if they aren't opiate tolerant, so it could risk overdose. Thus, you shouldn't administer more than has been prescribed by their doctor. Is there anything else I can help with?

Resident I'm taking care of spit out her liquid morphine on my arm. ## Hello, Bonnie! How are you? It is very doubtful that you would absorb enough of it for it to have any effect. If you had any broken skin on that area of your arm, there was likely greater danger from bacteria in her saliva, than anything else. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Some liquid morphine spilled on my hand and now I am coming up for opiates. I am freaking out. I take no meds that contain opiates. I only take prednisone. ## I work in an assisted living facility where we administer liquid sublingual morphine. I was wondering if it...

my mom takes 36ml of liquid methadone 3 times a day and 7ml of liquid morphine every hour for cancer. I want her to get off the drugs and into some sort of treatment for her cancer. Is she going to need help getting off the drugs? ## I am a Stage 4 Ovarian Cancer survivor. And really I understand your concerns. And I guess it depends on your individual situation. Just keep in mind that it is you Mother's choice whether or not to pursue cancer treatment. Treatment in itself is a living hell and just because she starts treatment doesn't mean she will be coming off of her pain meds. Some people would rather live their last days with as little pain as possible instead of adding even more pain, stress, and agony by going through a treatment that may or may not even work. If your moth...

I found a vial of thick dirty yellow liquid. Can u tell me what this is? ## A thick dirty yellow liquid could be virtually anything right? Is there any reason to believe that Morphine is within the realm of high possibilities? Drug manufacturers / compounding pharmacies can alter the way liquid medications may appear, how they taste, their viscosity, etc. So all I'm getting at is there's no guaranteed way to tell just by taste and looks alone, as it's always subject to change. Even if you know someone who takes liquid Morphine (or pain meds in general) within the proximity of where you found it, I would probably encourage you to have its contents analyzed by a lab to be 100% sure. A liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC-MS) diagnostic should do the trick. ## Run ...

I am a hospice nurse. We administer clear liquid morphine to our patients and teach the family how to administer it. Many are having trouble seeing how much they are pulling up in the syringe. Is is appropriate to add a very tiny minuscule amount of blue food coloring so that the patients can see the liquid and be safe? Please help. Thanks ## Hello, Pamela! How are you? I'm not sure if it would be safe, since food colorings aren't made to be used in such a manner. There are some dyes that are, so you may want to look into ordering one of them and using it. You wouldn't need a lot, just enough to add a slight tint to make it easier to see. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsines...

They may be able to provide you with advice. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

cronic pain ## Dilaudid (Hydromorphone) is essentially liquid heroin and should be only prescribed for extreme cases of pain, due to the fact that it is highly ADDICTIVE. ## Dilaudid is Hydromophone, it is no longer available in just a liquid, it comes in pills now as well, instant release. It is a very strong narcotic, yes, highly addictive but no more so than any other narcotics. Also for chronic pain users, you are more apt to become dependent on the meds than you are to become addicted to them. looking for info , pic , how it is used and whats pros & cons of pill or liquid ## Sorry I cannot find much information on it, other than the fact that a liquid does exist. So I am not sure if it is available for public use by prescription, or if it is only available for use in a medical setting. ## There is a liquid morphine called Roxinol - my mother took it for pain related to cancer. She tolerated it very well compared to not being able to tolerate IV morphine due to hallucinations. She let the medication sit under her tongue for as long as she could. Great results.

I have been taking liquid morphine every four hours since december 2015 for severe sciatia. I had a spinal operation 4 weeks ago, which was a complete success. However now I cannot sleep without taking zimovane. Everything else is functioning well. Morphine is still present in my body. I drink water constantly. Is there any other solution to rid the morphine? ## I'm sorry, I'm not sure if I understand you. Are you still taking the Morphine, or not? If not, there is no way it would still be present in your body and having an active effect weeks after stopping it. It usually only takes a short period of time for it to be eliminated, as reported by the NIH. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Zimovane as possibly including dizziness, drowsiness, hallucinations and next day ha...

It has poison listed on the label of my bottle of liquid morphine sulfate for intravenous use. It is an outdated bottle, but is it safe to use? ## First never use expired drugs! Secondly liquid morphine is deadly if taken or used improperly so why wouldn't it be considered a poison. ## Jeff is correct. Most medications are considered poisons, if used improperly, in excessive amounts, of by those who shouldn't be taking them. What precise markings are on the label are you talking about, though? Most pharmacies don't use one that just says poison. Morphine is an opiate, so it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth.

I take care of a woman on Hospice and she takes liquid morphine. When I first opened the bottle it was a light blue color, now after a month it has changed to a clear color. Is this possible or normal? Or is someone tampering with it? How can I tell? ## Hi Rita, I don't think morphine is naturally blue, so it seems to me like a dye or food coloring could've been used as a part of the inactive ingredients. A few things I'd be curious to know about: - Is there any "settlement" at the bottom of the bottle if you were to shake it up? - Was the bottle was stored properly, and if not, could sunlight or heat alter its physical properties? - And lastly, does the woman you take care have anything to say about the color change or the medication not working as well as it should...
