What would the name be on a bottle of liquid hydrocodone for being 5 mg ## Hi Carol, The only brand names I'm aware of are Lortab Elixir, Liquicet, and Tussigon. However, Lortab Elixir and Liquicet contain a combination of Hydrocodone + Acetaminophen; and not just Hydrocodone by itself. Tussigon also comes with Homatropine methylbromide, which is added to discourage overdosing. One other brand name containing the same ingredients as Tussigon is Hycodan, but this has reportedly been discontinued in the US. What brand name did you receive from your doctor? ...

And tje child that just had the same Surgery done got the liquid Lortab but its red. Can someone PLEASE tell me if its tje samething? Maybe just a different manufacturer? ## Hello, Connie! How are you? The color and viscosity doesn't actually mean anything, that's entirely up to the whit and whim of the manufacture, so they may all be different. Learn more Lortab details here. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I Found a blottle that read HYDROCODOE/APAP ELX PMA I was just curious as to how strong it was, it's yellow..If that matters any. ## I'm thinking the "ELX" probably stands for Elixir, which is liquid. And from what I could gather, Hydrocodone Bitartrate + Acetaminophen Oral Solutions come in dosages of: 7.5 mg/500 mg per 15 mL. I noticed that this dosage has yellow dye in it as well if that helps: "In addition, the liquid contains the following inactive ingredients: ammoniated glyyerrhizin, dibasic sodium phosphate, citric acid, ethyl maltol, polyethylene glycol, propylene glycol, purified water, saccharin sodium, sodium citrate, sodium benzoate, sodium gluconate, sorbitol solution, with D&C Yellow No. 10 and FD&C Yellow No. 6 as coloring, and natural and art... ...

How are you? 15, that's what the 7.5-325/15 means on the label, that's the dosage you get in 15mls, 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## 5 mls is 1 teaspoon. 1 teaspoon of this med is 7.5 mg Hydrocodone/325 Acetaminophen. ## if 5 mls is 1 teaspoon, than the 15 would refer to 3 teaspoons equaling the actual dosage of 7.5-325. how many pills is this eqiulent to ## Hi John, The milliliters (ML) refers to the size of the container, or dosage, but doesn't provide enough information to answer your question. Are you reffering to Hydrocodone APAP 7.5/500 liquid? If so, I can tell you that 1 tablespoonful of Hydrocodone APAP 7.5/500 liquid would be the equivalent of one Hydrocodone APAP 7.5/500 tablet. If i add water to fill the bottle up more in liquid hydrocodine will it be noticeable that i added water to it? ## It most likely will be, because it will affect it in three ways. It can thin out the consistency of it, it can dilute the flavor and it can also dilute the color, so it's usually very noticeable when such a thing is done. Learn more Hydrocodone details here. Add to that the fact that you're going to be lowering the dosage in the given amount, so it won't work as well and it's just not something you can easily get away with. I'm supposed to take 15 ml every 6 hours or as needed of 7.5/325 hydrocodone acetaminophen...how many mg is that ? aka how many tablespoons? I've been in severe mouth pain and I think I've taken too much today. qty is 420. I started off with 420 now I'm at about 370-380. ## Hello, sdalton! How are you? 15mls would be 3 teaspoons, each teaspoon contains 5mls, but make sure to use a proper measuring spoon, not a regular household teaspoon, because they are not accurate. A tablespoon is approximately 14.786mls, so you could also just take one of them, if you're going to take the full dose. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth an... ...

I have 150 ML of Hydrocodone/APAP ELX that expired in 12/06. It has not been opened since then and has been kept at a constant room temp. Is it still safe to use for my bursitis and other muscle pains....??? ## Hello, Dlanor! How are you? No, it is long expired after that many years. Liquids degrade faster than other forms of medications and slowly lost potency. Not only will it no longer be very effective, but there's also a chance that it has turned and could make you very ill, if you take it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. How much hydrocodone 7.5-325 tablets is equal to one ounce of liquid hydrocodone of the same strength? Thank you ## You measure Liquid Meds by ml and cc. On the prescription bottle it states something like 5 ml equals Hydrocodone 7.5 mg/Acetaminphen 325 mg. 1 ml equals 1 cc. YELLOW SOLUTION LIQUID HYDROCODONE-APAP. IT IS A GENERIC FORM OF VICADON ## I was prescribed this stuff for pain relief after a tonsilectomy...bottle reads: 400 HYDROCODONE/ SOL APAP Take 2-4 teaspoonfuls every four hours as needed. My question is, is there a way to tell how many milligrams each of hydrocodone/acetominophen per teaspoon? I am concerned about the APAP as we all know it is toxic to the liver in high doses and would like to know how much is in each dose I take so I can monitor it. I am assuming the 400 on the bottle corresponds to that, but I don't know how it applies (ex. per teaspoon, or per reccomended dose of 2-4 an hour). Seems to me its a lot harder to find info on ratio of hydro. to APAP in liquid form, wheras it is almost common knowlege for the tablet-forms. I... ...

My child was prescribed hydrocodone-apap 7.5-500 soln in an orange liquid. Also on the main bottle with the label that says Cephalexin for Oral Suspension, USP (250 mg/5ml) 100 ml when mixed. And the pharmacy doctor put 2 of 3 in red marker on bottle. I'm confused. Is the orange liquid suppose to make it easier for him to swallow. ## To be honest, I'm a little confused by your post. You're talking about 2 different medications. The Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen is a narcotic pain reliever, though the Hydrocodone can also help treat couching and the Acetaminophen can help break a fever. The Cephalexin is an antibiotic that is used to treat various types of infections. The color really means nothing, but most medications of this type are given to children in liquid form, sinc... ...

Was given RX Hydrocod/acetaminophen 7.5-325/15ML every 4-6hrs. Can you also use liquid tylenol 500 mg over the counter together, alternating? ## You should not combine OTC tylenol with any prescription meds that also contain tylenol. You may want to call or see your Dr or dentist if the rx you were given isn't helping the pain. ## I Ran out of my hydrocodone/ acetaminophen 10-325 T. About how many of the over the counter extra strength Tylenol's can I take to get close to the hydro's. I'm out of town for 2 more days. Need something to ease pain up at least somewhat. Any advice would be great. Thanks. ## You should not take more than 4,000 mg Tylenol in a 24 hour period or more than 1,000 mg every 6 hours.
