I have been taking BP medicine forever. Recently diagnosed with high cholesterol. Currently taking Lipitor 10 mg at night. I feel really dizzy and have heart palpitations throughout the following day. I have been taking this medication for about 3 weeks now and am afraid to continue. What should I do? ## Those can be normal side effects of this medication, as well as most BP medications, according to FDA reports. Have you checked your BP readings, when your are experiencing these symptoms? What BP medication are you taking? Are you on any other medications?

I ordered lipitor 10 mg as I always have and did not receive the normal eclipse shape pill. I receive a round pill imprinted with 10 on one side and ATC on the other side. Has anyone been aware of pfizer lipitor changing the shape of their 10 mg pill. ## change in shape of lipitor brand tablets. Got new rx for 20mg lipitor and saw round shape so called canada where I get them from and they said this is the new shape for lipitor. ## I can't find any information on a pill with that marking in any of our resources, but if it is from a foreign country, then that makes sense. turtle, did you also order from Canada? Lipitor contains the active ingredient Atorvastatin, it is most commonly used to help lower cholesterol. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, headache and join...

I reacted badly to Lipitor 7 years ago after a stent placement. My doctor now wants me to take Atorvastatin 10 mg. I don't think that is a good idea. What are your thoughts? ## Probably not, if you had a bad reaction to it, since Atorvastatin is the exact same medication, Lipitor is just a brand name for it. Learn more Lipitor details here. There are other options on the market that you can try, if you need to lower your cholesterol and diet/exercise aren't working. Fenofibrate is one that isn't related to the statin class of medications. Learn more Fenofibrate details here. Did you ask what other medications you could take?

Are Metoprolol TAB 50 mg. ER (white) the same? as Metoprolol-TART 50 mg. TAB leg (pink)? What is the difference? ## I got a RX filled Small round pill with 831 and small arrow like symbol ## I have Metoprolol succinate extended-release (50 mg) white tablets but was prescribed Losartan 50mg Pot a green tablet. Are these the same. I just noticed this and I am urinating every hour day and night. I am 64 and take lipitor 10mg and Glimepiride 4mg each at one tab per day. ## In regards to the original post no, from what was listed those are not the same. The ER stands for extended release, which means the medication will be slowly released into the body over time, rather than all at once. The other tablet listed doesn't have anything showing that it's in such a formulation, which mean...

I take 30 mg of Prevacid , 10 mg Lipitor , 10 mg Cipralex at bed time. Supper time I take Ferrous Gluconate 300 mg. Today the doctor diagnosed me with a UTI, and given APO-Sulfatrim DS 800/160 mg 1 tablet twice a day. My question is, is this antibiotic okay with everything I'm taking? Any interactions with anything? Thanks, Stella ## Hello, Stella! How are you? I didn't find any problems or interactions listed, but you should double check this information to be certain. Side effects to the antibiotic may include nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?

My husband has recently started taking 20 mg lipitor and is experiencing severe joint discomfort after that .Doctor has advised to lower the dose to 10mg .How can we cope with this,if anyone has experienced the same. ## Lipitor contains the active ingredient Atorvastatin, which is used to help lower cholesterol. The joint/muscle aches are very common side effects of this class of medications and in some people they are so severe that they have to discontinue use of the medication and try something else. Lowering the dose may help, but it could still take several weeks for those effects to taper off. Did his doctor suggest anything else he could use in the meantime to alleviate it? ## Thanks for the insight...his doctor has asked to stop that ,as according to him any other statin can cau...

Colestrol ## ## I have severy problems to sleep. Can Aspavor play a role in it? How can I solve the problem? ## I've been on the following drugs:warfarin,Tritace, Plavix,Norvasc,Lipitor,Ecotrin. 2 Bypasses and 2 stents have blocked completely but collateral circulation has been established. I cannot write or paint normally because the muscles in my right hand dont function normally. The specialist diagnosed this condition as dystonia. I realise that this condition is most likely caused by my prolonged use of statins, firstly Zocor, then Lipitor and now Aspavor. I also have hemifacial spasm . I recently started a routine of massaging my face and discovered how very sore the muscles in my cheeks are. I have no doubt that the Aspavor has also contributed to this condition. I am also on Ezetrol . I take 20mg Aspavor and 10 mg Ezetrol and Ecotrin daily. I had carotid surgeries about 5 years ago and have a stent inserted in one of the arteries after it began closing up with cholesterol again. I am fed up with the muscle spasms and I want to take an alternative. I will appreciate...
