I have am also taking lexamil 10mg a day. In the first few weeks i suffered from awful headaches and my neck became incredibly stiff and leg muscle spasms, also a big increase in my appetite. I continued through that my appetite is ok now and the headaches are gone, just some days i still get a terribly stiff neck like a type of pressure up my spine, very uncomfortable. I am def. more emotionally balanced, cry less etc. However, I dont think any pill will take all your stress away, that is something one needs to work on yourself with the support of the medication. NEVER JUST STOP YOUR MEDS, you need to be weaned off of them. It has taken a few months to get to a better place while using the medication it does not happen over a few days as it needs to build up in your system and reach a ...

I was put on the drug in November 2011. I was taking it till this year September this year when i decided to leave it. I did not taper it down at all. My boyfriend has now left me because of my constant fighting and the fact that i loose my temper constantly. It has only been for the last two months that he's been complaining. I have honestly tried hard to keep myself calm in times when something upsets me.. i just can't control it. Is it possibly a side effect, or that i should maybe except that i have to take it? ## Rebound and withdrawal effects are well known to happen with these types of medications, if you stop taking them abruptly. Hi. I'm female 27 years and used lexamil for 3 years since my second baby due to severe depression. I gained 10kg's in the first 3 months and it made me feel better. I could at least work and function a bit better. It only started getting better now. I have today decided not to take it any more. It's just too expensive and makes me gain weight and I feel so sleepy all the time since I have been taking it. I sometimes feel off balance. If I stop taking it I start to stare into space lol. But I am going to try it once again, with people monitoring my behaviour if they see I need to take it again. I want to take control of my life again. Lose the weight and cope on my own. I feel terrible today, I feel nauseous! But guess what....my emotions are fine! I noticed after leaving it...

Hello, I've just started taking Lexam 10 escitalopram. I'm a 22 year old female being treated for depression/anxiety. I'm wondering if anyone else who has taken Lexam has experienced dilated pupils? My pupils are huge and have not died down. I've only been on it for 2 days and I had quite a bad headache for an hour or two, which has now completely gone. Apart from feeling nauseous and dizzy which I've been told is normal, I was quite concerned and wondering if it's normal? I'm on lexamil 10mg for 5 days now and I'm feeling terrible! I've got 24/7 nausea. The one day I had diarrhea and the next day everything was blurry the whole day and I was so dizzy, I hallucinated. I'm sleeping all the time, I shake a lot as well. They say it will go on for 3 weeks until it actually works. I drank on one day more than 7 nausea pills and nothing works. ## Hello, Hayley! How are you? The nausea, diarrhea and dizziness can be normal side effects, as listed by the FDA, however, they sound very severe and this medication shouldn't make you hallucinate. It seems that this might not be the right medication for you take and you may need to speak to your doctor about trying something else. What nausea pills did you take?

My question is - can I use Lexamil with Gaba 500 mg ( I use this since June 1013). ## Hello, Ewa! How are you? You may also experience other side effects, such as dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes. Both medications have these in common. Is there anything else I can help with?

My husband takes Lexamil 10 mg for depression for 7days now. He just sits and stares and do not react to anything. Is there a natural or herbal replacement for this medicine. Its as if he has stopped living. Thanks ## Hello, Kotie! How is your husband doing? Is this the only medication that he's taking? Such side effects should wear off in a few weeks, once his body gets used to the medication. But it could be that this just isn't the right antidepressant for him and he may need to try a different one. Is this the first medication in this class that he's tried? Are you sure he's only taking 10mgs?

Hello. Please can you give me your advice: Valdoxane versus Lexamil. ## Hello, Geen! How are you? Valdoxan is reported to cause fewer side effects, according to FDA reports. It doesn't tend to cause the sensual side effects or withdrawal, plus it can encourage restful sleep in some people that take it. Lexamil, however, can cause those types of side effects, along with dizziness, dry mouth and weight gain. What condition is being treated?
