my doctor has prescribed levofloxacin fynal 500 along with a few more tablets she gives me normally......i would like to know what is fynal 500 meant to treat? ## I'm not sure what the fynal is, BUT beware of the Levaquin (levofloxacin). Go to the FDA's MedWatch site and read all side effects. They are very powerful antibiotics, but are not to be mixed with other particular medications. I'vI've had recurrent UTI infections on and off for the past 30 years. Levofloxacin saved me from the torture once I got a prescription over 15 y.o ago. If the infection is not severe I take 250 mg for 3 days and that does the trick. It works amazingly fast snd usually after the first dose I feel an instant relief from suffering of urinary infections. Very rarely I had to go through a week routine of 500 mg. Never had any problems. No tendon ruptures or other side effects and I'm a still active former ballet dancer who takes strenous classes 4-5 times a week. ## Awesome! I"m so glad that's it worked so well for you. Have you experienced any of the typical side effects that the FDA lists, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea or non-allergic skin rash? How long does it take foe levofloxacin to get out of your system? ## Hello, Tammy! How are you? The FDA classifies this as an antibiotic and lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Did you have a bad reaction to it? It may take about 2 weeks, after you stop taking it, for things to settle down and to feel more normal. ## Hi Tammy, Levofloxacin gets out of your system very quickly... just a few days to a week at the most. If you are experiencing problems from Levaquin, it's because they actually can lead to cellular and DNA damage. I've been prescribed Levfloxacin, and have one Amoxicillin left. Is ok to take both? ## How long have you been on Amoxicillin (about 7-10 days)? I would recommend finishing your cycle of Amoxicillin, so that you don't have to worry about the infection coming back.
