please let me kow of any interactions with alcohol and keppra ## yes, alcohol is a bad mixture with this medication. I would advise you to really think that through. I ended up in the emergency room 2 months ago because I had a break through seizure due to alcohol. ## Keppra contains the active ingredient Levetiracetam and is an anticonvulsant medication. That said, it is never a good idea to mix alcohol with prescription medications. Not only can it reduce the effectiveness of some, as Sarah discovered, but it can also aggravate the side effects.
