I take ldn for ms...it does help my energy level. My dr wants me to start Prolia for osteoporosis. This drug effects the immune system. I know ldn helps to boost the immune system. Can these 2 drugs be taken together? I need to make a decision soon. I'd like to hear about anyone with ms using Prolia.....I'm scared. ## I just had a Prolia injection 2 weeks ago. I can tell you this, I would rather be in a wheelchair in a nursing home than have this in my system. It completely and totally DELETES YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM. I'm really sick and need to go to the ER but I cannot be around other sick people without an immune system. I will NEVER have another one in my lifetime. Also have a couple of very needed surgeries scheduled that will most probably be cancelled because I have NO IMM...

Does anyone have any information about Oxytrex? I am currenly on oxycodone, 10 mg 3x a day. I want to start LDN (like 0.5 mg a day to start) but it appears I will have to completely come off the oxycodone first. But if theres a medication that combines he two maybe I don’t. My doctor tried 4.5 mgs on a patient and they had immediate withdrawals, but he isn’t sure that will happen to me on 0.5 mg. Does anyone have any links to the information from the drug trials, or what doses they are using?

I take LDN for CFS and it’s been amazing. I also have athletes foot for the first time in my life and it won’t go away. I have been using lamisil for a month. My doctor had me take the yeast infection pill once, then again a week later. I haven’t taken the 2nd pill yet, but it hasn’t improved and I remember when I started LDN some people reported chronic yeast infections. Does anyone have any info or experience with this? I don’t want to give up the LDN for a week or two but I will if it’ll help me fix my foot. It hurts to walk now. ## Hi, I’m Beth, 66 years old and have dealt with Dr.’s and pharmaceuticals for years! When I was eight years old I ended up hospitalized for a year and they diagnosed me with Epstein bar and, yellow jaundice, ...

Reluctant to switch from a 20 mg norco 3x a day for years to the Low Dose Naltraxone. I understand that the LDN may not have side effects in itself but I'm worried about withdrawaling from my Dr prescribed opiates. Does the LDN soften the withdral? ## Why are you being put on the Naltrexone? It's not an analgesic and if you take it too soon after taking opiates, it can actually throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals. I'm sorry, but I'm a not quite understanding what's going on here. Naltrexone is usually used to help people stay off of opiates or alcohol. Along with withdrawals, its other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness and stomach cramps. ## Ldn is used in doses from 1.5 mg to 4.5 mg for immune syst...

R 031 or GG...?? Which one is stronger or weaker...?? ## Hello, LDN! How are you? The tablet with the R 031 marking contains 1mg of Alprazolam. As to the GG tablet, that depends which one you're asking about, since there are several with that logo in different doses. What is the marking on the tablet in question? This medication carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. ## R 031 or GG 258 which is stronger or weaker or is it the same ## The same

I quit Ampyra as I only saw a difference for a bit of time. I'm on LDN now and getting my dosage correct. Things improving, it takes time. ## I started taking ampyra 2 1/2 years ago, and initially I improved a lot, because of a mix up with the third timed walk, my insurance did not approve the refill for about a month and a half. I deteriorated rapidly and in fact began walking WORSE than before I started taking it initially. That month and a half without it, I started using a cane and although I improved a little after starting up again, I continue to need a cane. When I don't take it on time, I see a small difference in my ability to walk. I take it it in order to walk marginally better, but I'm way worse than I ever was before it. Knowing what I know now, I would have bee...

Any one have experience using Lo Dose Naltrexone for arthritis, fibromyalga, or chronic pain ? ## I used LDN for Crohn's Disease and it was very effective in reducing abdominal pain. I used Neurontin, a synthetic analog of GABA, for nerve pain and it helped. You can buy GABA from a health food store. I hope this helps. ## Does LDN help with rheumatoid arthritis victims? ## GABA and Neurontin are not the same as far as effects. Neurontin (Gabapentin) is a Schedule IV or V prescription drug. IMO, OTC GABA is crap. ## Yes. It helps my pain, on a pain scale 1-10 the 5 mg daily decreased my pain level from an 8 to a 2.??

I was prescribed Contrave for weight loss. I also have a injury to my right upper arm and shoulder that has made me unable to move my my arm more than 6 inches forward, backwards and out to the side without causing horrible pain. My doctor prescribed Tramadol and occasionally Vicodin for pain relief. Fast forward 5 yrs. Opiod crisis. Doctor stops my prescription. Go thru withdraw and Pain is none stop. Enter Contrave...with it's LDN (low dose naltrexone & bupropion) Within a week the pain is subsiding. On week 4 it's gone! No more pain..I can move my arm as if it had never been injured. I read about LDN (opiod antagonist used to treat opiod addicts by stopping the effects of opiods...and yet it also seems to relieve some kinds of pain like migraines and fibromyalgia). I am w...

Do they still make and/or use this antagonist? I hear a lot of people talk about Naloxone. I thought Naloxone was for overdose and Naltrexone was a stronger antagonist or what they say is a "blocker". ## I take low-dose naltrexone for MECFS, so my dose is 0.5 mg not the 50 mg of the usual tablet. I get it from a compounding pharmacy and they make it with pure Naltrexone powder they get from China or India or something. People must be taking the 50 mg tablets though because I know the pharmacies carry those still, some compounding pharmacies will be able to get your LDN covered by insurance by getting a 50 mg tablet for making it your correct dose, so I know it’s still exists. I just don’t know anybody who takes it.

I got horribly constipated about 5 days after starting naltrexone 50mg. So I stopped. Are there any known methods of taking naltrexone and preventing constipation? BTW, I have a good diet and never get constipated. ## I take a stool softener plus laxative in the morning and night time. I have the same problem so I asked my local pharmacy and that's what they recommended. Hope this helps. ## Oh this is so interesting, I take low-dose naltrexone, 0.5 mg in the morning, and it gave me diarrhea every day for the first seven days, then it stopped. I only get constipated on the days I don’t take it, but I think that’s because I also take oxycodone three times a day so when I don’t take the LDN in the morning it’s almost like my body is opioid naïve again. ## W...

I was diagnosed with PPMS. My right leg feels stiff when I walk. I was thinking that Ampyra was intended for the other types of MS. But reading of the side effects, I'm doubting taking it. I am working on getting a Walk Aide. It works wonderfully for me. It's just expensive. So would Ampyra be right for me? ## Unfortunately, the information in your post is very limited, which makes it hard for anyone to advise you on this. Learn more Ampyra details here. What medications do you currently take? Any form of MS can be touchy and unpredictable to treat, so all must be handled with care. Have you consulted a doctor about using it? ## Thanks for your input Verwon. I didn't think about the other meds. I take Baclofen for my spasticity and LDN. I was taking Rebif, but my insurance s...
