Is there a diet pill that's safe to take while on Latuda? I really want to try Lipozene. ## Hello, Happyturtle! How are you? I'm sorry, but Lipozene is a supplement, not an actual drug, so it has not been evaluated for possible interactions and problems with medications and medical conditions. Latuda is an antipsychotic that's used to treat mental health conditions and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, drowsiness, tremors and sedation. In theory, since Lipozene only contains a type of fiber that helps you to feel full, so you eat less, you should be able to take it with the Latuda, but you should double check with your doctor first. Is there anything else I can help with? ## You shouldn't take diet pills period! My mom had 6 kids, started taking diet pills after...

Can u take latuda and oxycodone (15 mg IR) together with no side effects? ## No, the FDA advised that they generally not be combined, due to the risk of severely lowered blood pressure and central nervous system depression, either of which might be fatal. Have they both been prescribed for you?

My sister was just put on this drug... She is bi-polar and in a comatose state, not eating, sleeping, ect...Are these possible side effects? She was also put on Latuda. ## Risperdal is well known to cause severe sedation, according to the FDA and my own experience, when my ex-husband was put on it. All he did was sleep, it was horrible. And yes, the Latuda can also cause similar side effects, according to NIH reports. Has her doctor been consulted? Her doses might be too high.

Just wondering if it's safe to mix Hydrocodone 10mg + Gabapentin 600mg + Latuda 20mg? I'm concerned about my health. ## According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool), taking Hydrocodone and Latuda (Lurasidone) together may increase your risk of certain side effects, such as a loss of balance or dizziness, slurred speech, confusion, changes in mental awareness & slow or shallow breathing. They go on to note that in some cases where both medications are required, your doctor may adjust the dosage and/or frequency of dosing in order to mitigate these risk factors. I hope this info helps and wish you good health!

I tried Latuda starting a month and half ago. Had a very stressful trip home many variables featuring extreme changes and suffering around me. I thrive on stability. Got extremely distressed and angry and had problems sleeping. I think the medicine actually helped. Have always been very suicidal and was going to get home and shoot myself but did not. Since then had a couple of angry dwelling days but have had seven great productive days in a row now and very hopeful for this medicine. History. I have been on Max Geodon and some wellbutrin for 3 years now and sleeping 12 hours a day. Usually pretty hopeless even though from outside i have great family life. Went on lamictal for awhile and too much anger. Lamictal curbed binge eating as well. I would suggest this medicine for anyone who i...

I am takin latuda for bi polar. Can I take lipozene ## @happyturtle, From what I can tell, apparently there are no verifiable ways to check for drug interactions between pharmaceutical meds such as Latuda (lurasidone) and OTC diet pills like Lipozene. But if I were you, I would probably notify your doctor first anyways, since patients are generally supposed to inform the doctor of any additional substances you're using alongside the medication that he/she prescribes you. This is for your own safety. I will say though, that in my honest opinion (not to be mistaken for medical advice), I don't think there would be any complications with taking the two together since they both act on different parts of the body. Does anyone else have thoughts on this?

I started prozac a week ago I also have been taking latuda for about a month and lamictial for over a year. I noticed there's no.way not to that my anxiety is 1,000 x's worse since I started the prozac. I get so anxious for NO reason whatsoever and my heart races. I was wondering if anyone else experienced this and if so how long does it normally last. This is horrible. I was taking it in the am but switched to night and its crazy but it seems to be worse and lasts about 6 hours out of the day. ## Hello, Steph! How are you doing? Yes, Prozac can due that and it usually lasts about 3 weeks, before it eases off and the medication reaches its level of therapeutic efficacy. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, weight loss and headache. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

5th day of Rexulti. Abilify caused tics & tremors. Got off latuda..bad side effects. Also on Viibryd....no improvement with it. ## Hello, Lenats! How are you? Have you experienced any side effects? The FDA lists the typical side effects of Rexulti as possibly including nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and weight gain. Has anyone else been on it who can share their experience? ## Mostly dry mouth. Not too bad though. ## I've been on it for 3-4 weeks and I've been having a lot of nausea and bloating. Not sure if it's related or not. I feel almost like I'm pregnant but my husband had a vasectomy a year ago so that seems unlikely. ## I'm on Wellbutrin 150mg. deplin 15 mg and .5mg of Rexulti. Nuvigul 150mg one time day Lamictal 100mg 1 2 twice day Oxcarbazepine 150 mg take twice day Latuda 40 mg one day Can u take all together ## Hi Cory, From what I could gather, there are some drug interactions listed between the following combinations of meds... Lamictal (lamotrigine) + Latuda (lurasidone): Taking these two meds together may increase your risk of certain side effects, such as impaired cognitive function, dizziness, drowsiness, and an overall inability to concentrate. Oxcarbazepine + Latuda (lurasidone): The same side effects listed above also pertain this drug combination as well. Oxcarbazepine + Nuvigil (armodafinil): Lastly, there are reports stating that Oxcarbazepine has been known to decrease the blood levels and efficacy of Nuvigil. So depending on the whether the b...

Can I take diet supplements while I'm taking mental health meds such as latuda, buspirone, doxepin and aripiprazole? ## Hello, Bobby! How are you? It really depends on what supplements you want to take, some are safe, according to FDA reports, and some are not. Can you please post back with more details? The NIH warns that some supplements can cause a possibly dangerous condition called Serotonin Syndrome, when mixed with some supplements and herbal products, this condition has been known to be fatal, in some cases. ## Oh please talk to your doctor. Those are some heavy duty meds and any supplements that affect dopamine will probably be problematic.

I have a round white pill one side it has L40 and the other side don't have nothing on it ## From what I'm finding, this is a 40mg Latuda tablet, which contains the active ingredient Lurasidone, it is an antipsychotic medication. Side effects may include: nausea, dizziness, weight changes and sedation. Learn more: Is there anything else I can help with? ## The pill I want to identify is a small round white pill with the number 40 printed on it and nothing on the back. Would like to know what it is, thanks.

This is a generic for Tylenol. It's not a narcotic and can be sold over the counter. ## Hi Sandy - The closest thing I can find to the pill which you are describing is Latuda 40mg, NDC code 51148-001. It's round and white with the imprint L over 40. Is this what you have? If not, then it could be possible that a similar pill exists for generic Acetaminophen since over the counter drugs don't always have to carry unique imprints the way that prescription medications do.

What other prescription meds come back as amphetamines besides ranitidine? I haven't done methamphetamine and am being violated for it... I take numerous prescriptions: latuda, fetzima, prilosec, ranitidine, baclofen, relafen, liquid lidocaine and a few others...grrr, I have serious connective tissue disorders and auto immune diseases. ## Hello, Becca! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're experiencing. Among those you've listed, the only one that is known to cause it is the Ranitidine, according to the Redwood Toxicology Laboratory. What are the others that you take and didn't list? There are far too many possibilities for me to be able to list them all for you.

Hi everyone, I am taking Prozac generics and wondering about preferences in manufacturers. I believe the 20mg of Activist is not performing very well. My pdoctor has increased to 30mg by taking 3 10mg and would like to get a reputable manufacturer. Also would like to know about experience from people who were given Latuda to use with it. He gave me a sample pack but have been afraid to take it. ## I currently take the capsule manufactured by Aurobindo Pharmaceuticals for perimenopause symptoms, which include anxiety, and it works very well for me. I take 20mgs in the morning and 10mgs at night. I can't say how well it will work for you, though, since we are all different. I currently take 250 mg of zoloft and my pdoc has me on lactimal 100mg. The lactimal doesnt seem to work anymore and i tried everything else. I have bipolar with major depression and schizo affective disorder ,adhd, and ocd. i take also haldol 2mg twice a day, klonopin 2mg a day and vyvanse 70mg a day. i have been thinking about trying cymbalta or latuda. any suggestions. i just dont want to be depressed any more . i am 40 years old and dealt with this the whole time. ## Hello, Angel! How are you feeling? I am sorry that you're suffering depression, that's very tough to deal with. The Latuda is an atypical antipsychotic, so it is very similar to the Haldol that you already take. The Cymbalta is an SNRI antidepressant, so it's related to the Zoloft, though not the same. Were th...

I started taking Buspar 3 years ago for panic attacks. For me it works to prevent the panic attacks in the first place mostly. Great for me. I was getting pretty bad ones 3 to 5 times a week and it went down to about 1 every month or so. With xanax it helps to slow down the panic attacks but once it has started it is kind of too late. I now take latuda for bipolar sever depression and schizophrenia and after 3 months i rarely think about suicide any more and am awake and active much more. Also i have not had a panic attack since starting the Latuda. ## Awesome, Nickoly! I am so happy that you've found medications that work so well for you. Have you experienced any of the typical Latuda side effects that the FDA lists, such as drowsiness, dizziness, nausea, stomach pain or diarrhea? ...

I have a history of anxiety/depression. After 2 life changing events I fell back into this funk. Was put on Luvox and it worked fine. Then had another loss with a company rightsizing and was laid off and have since moved back into home with parents (I am 40). Without insurance started going to local psychiatrist who decided I was Bipolar. To make long story short..........wrong diagnosis. After a month and a half on Latuda which has sent me spiraling down even further into depression and hopelessness, my parents got involved and with blessing of my psychologist (who also didn't think I was Bipolar) we weaned me off of Latuda and onto 10 mg Lexapro after much research. I've been on for 2 weeks and have suffered the nausea, dizziness and loss of weight and right now after 2 1/2 mo...
