My periods always come very late afetr 4 to 6 months and when it comes it is little not bleeding like normal, I don't know what to do. I recently was prescribed Sprintec and this is going to be my 3rd week taking the pills. My doctor didn't tell me to take them when I started my period so I started them the day after my visit. I have been taking them every day and haven't missed any so far. My period was supposed to start already and I'm 5 days late. Ive been on sprintec for many months now and when it comes time to take the white pills, I dont usually get my period until the 4th, 5th, or 6th day. Not sure why this happens. I have to pretend to have my period so my mom doesn't think I'm pregnant. I have been engaging in intercourse, but we use a backup method of protection every time. I also rarely miss any pills, and if I do, I make sure to take them right away, or to take two at a time, etc etc. I follow the directions. I just don't know why my period is always so late. I'm a sunday starter, and today is thursday and still no bleeding. The last time I had intercourse was 12/20, and today is 1/2. This happened with last month's period as well. It came pretty late. But this month I did not get a period and I am now 6 days almost seven days late. My doctor started me on the generic brand of sprintec about a month ago after being on the name brand for about 6 months. It caused me to have very bad diahhrea and messed with my stomach altogether but I dealt with it. It also caused my left breast to be extremely tender and painful to touch. My doctors didn't send my refills over for my birth control so I couldn't refill it when I ran out, so I had to double up the day after on the pills. My name is Blessing. I am almost 48yrs old. I have only one child. I desire to have another one at least a boy God willingly to make my husband happy.
