I am relocating from Maui to Las Vegas, summerfield area. I would so appreciate anyone who could recommed a Chronic Pain Doctor who is not afraid to medicate you properly. Most chronic pain patients know what I have been through with Dr.'s who hassle, disrespect and treat you as though you are just a drug addict when truely, without our medications, life is unbearable. Someone rear ended me and broke my back 13 years ago and have had chronic pain ever since. I recently also had nuerosurgery on my neck, (C3) because my spine is deteriorating. I now have another area of pain from that. My Maui Dr. was wonderful, a caring man who really understands and cares about providing the proper medication to give you the best quality of life you can have. hi I'm a 24 year old female who has severe pain from disks problem and spinal stenosis ( a degenerate spine disease) and I cant find a doctor in vegas because of either my age or other people who messed it up for the people with sever pain. looking for a doctor in Las Vegas that prescribes oxycodone 30mg or even 15mg. it is extremely hard to find a doctor who will help me get out of pain. I was getting them prescribed but now I can't find another doctor. I recently moved to Las Vegas, and wish to continue my fairly small prescription for Vicodin due to shoulder pain that surgery couldn't solve. I only need a name of a doctor or clinic that will consider prescribing. The current opioid problems have mad it difficult to find anyone that can help.

Very hard to find... ## Hi Melanie, Unfortunately, no one can really know ahead of time what a doctor is or is not willing to prescribe, as that is based on the doctor's discretion and not on someone else's previous appointment (especially since many doctor's are now worried about losing their licensing for prescribing too many narcotics). Some advice I can give you is to not specifically ask for any 'specific medication' when you see a new doctor. Just make sure to transfer or take a copy of all your medical records with you. You might find a doc, but actually getting the scripts filled is another story completely. Apparently, there is a huge back order, all over the city, no one has anything. I have been On oxy 30's for three yrs., for chronic back pain, and I'm going into withdrawal because no one will fill. ## Hello, Bex! How are you doing? I have been fighting Pancreatitis for the past 4 years. I've been hospitalized 17x's in 20 months. I have mouth cancer that is very painfull and have been taking opioids/pain meds for many years. My tolerance is extremely high, so to have the meds actually work on the pain i'm needing a lot more than most. Just a guide of what i thank would help me and my history with pain meds: About 360 roxys 30mg, 180-240 lortabs 10mg, 90 morphine er mg, 150 xanax 2mgs, and 180 somas, which is not a lot to me. ive been in pain mgmnt for 15yrs. taken of percs(longterm use causing liver failure) put on roxys. have been on 30's for several yrs now. They work without making me high or woozy. LVPI has stopped prescribing eff jan 1. Are there any dr's not afraid of DEA? For addiction treatment, it cannot be prescribed like that. Under the laws for such, it can only be administered in a clinical setting by those that are specially trained in its use for addiction, since it requires regular monitoring and there are strict limitations on take home doses, counseling and etc. Learn more Methadone details here. Hi, I'm hoping to get some help from someone. I get prescribed 50 mcg fentanyl patches and 30, 5mg/325 of Oxycodone monthly from my pain management doctor to help my pain. I try and get all my medicines filled in base, but sometimes I can't get to the pharmacy during there hours of operation. I've gone to like 7 different pharmacies, mostly cvs and can never get my pain meds from them. They tell me they don't have any. I get the patches, but up until recently have never dealt with this for the oxy. Can someone tell me an off base pharmacy that carries these prescriptions that keeps these meds in stock? You would be so very helpful.

I have been seeing a doc for 4 yrs for pain management who put me on 100 mg. Methadone. He left his practice and his replacement won't prescribe methadone. I have called multiple pain management docs who will not take me at this mg level. I have tried everything else before and need a LAS VEGAS area doc who will see me soon. ## In a way, you may be creating your own problem here. Looking for a pain dr in las Vegas or Los Angeles area that accepts out of state patients ## Unfortunately, that is not going to be possible, now. Due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, you'll need an established relationship with a doctor to be prescribe anything and they're going to require that you live near where they practice. Pharmacies will also require that you live within a certain radius and the doctor be located within a certain radius to get anything filled. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am moving back to Las Vegas from Utah (where they have about stripped me of all my meds) and I really need a doctor who will prescribe my meds. I am currently on Percocet 15, Morphine 45, and Soma. My amounts have been cut in half and I used to get morphine 60mg. My next visit they are cutting me off the soma. That is the only muscle relaxer that has ever worked for me. I was hurt when a ride malfunctioned at Disneyland (screwed by lawyer), which resulted in neck and back surgery and I also have Lupus and Crest Syndrome. I do not go an hour without being in pain. After moving from las Vegas to Arizona pain doctors refusing to prescribe pain medicine. I use a motorized wheelchair have osteoarthritis , spondolishesis and have recently broken my rib and damaged my wrist and aggravated a rotary cuff tear. I was on methodone and oxycodone for breakthrough pain in las Vegas as well as physical therapy that helped me function. Now I am writhing in agony with no pain killers and no relief in sight. I want to die because I cannot even sleep due to the excruciating pain. I am allergic to uv rays and cannot go outside during the day without ensuing painful blindness. I am living with sickle cell anemia. My doctor for the last 10 years has prescribed me with oxycontin. Now my doctor is changing fields and will ne doing botox treatments and he will not write out anymore prescriptions. Does anyone know of a new doctor I can get my medication from in Las Vegas, Nevada? I do not abuse them but I do need them for server pain I have in my bones. Please help!! ## Have you tried asking them if they have a doctor they can recommend for you? In most situations of this type, doctors will look for someone else too take over their patients, rather than leave them out in the cold. Otherwise, have you considered trying a pain management specialist? That might be your other best option, since they are specially trained in dealing with this type of health problem.

I am tired of going to the Comprehensive Pain Management office. I would like to have one Dr. That can prescribe my methadone for pain. I am currently living in Lansing, MI and have been suffering from low-back pain for many, many years. I've been on several different medications, as well as being completely off medications following a laminectomy/discectomy. A few years ago I moved to Las Vegas, but since I've returned to Michigan, I've had a really difficult time finding a doctor that is either helpful or compassionate. Both doctor's I've been to says the CDC is no longer allowing them to prescribe to any patient unless they have cancer OR they were already an established patient when the new CDC recommendations came down.
