Alcohol with epitec: I take 25mg Epitec twice daily. Can I consume a glass of wine on special occasions although I am taking Epitec? ## Drinking alcohol while taking Epitec is not recommended. This medication is reported to contain the active ingredient Lamotrigine, which acts as a central nervous system depressant (as does alcohol). If you really did want a glass of wine then it is highly recommended that you check with your prescribing physician first since they are familiar with your full medical history. While it may be okay to drink a single glass of wine (moderation), it is best not to take a chance without knowing if you are specifically at risk for an interaction. white round j 245 ## White round pill j245. Dad is taking 100 mg 3 times per day. A lot of pills. Want to know if they make it in 200 mg. Pills? ## This tablet is manufactured by Cadista and they list it as containing 25mgs of Lamotrigine, which is an anticonvulsant that is also used to treat some types of mood disorders. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood changes, and weight changes. And yes, there are 200mg tablets available that could be prescribed, as well as some higher, and lower doses. Is there anything else I can help with?
