I am researching for my best friend. She is lactose intolerance and was told by her pharmatist to go on line to find drugs that are lactose free ## gynecologist ## Tell her to ask her pharmacist what pharmaceuticals he uses and then search each drug by that pharmaceutical. It should show what the inactive ingredients are. ## What medication has she been prescribed? Most tablets, or capsules will not contain enough to cause issues, according to NIH studies. The amounts in them are miniscule, so it would not be the same as drinking milk, or eating cheese. What types of issues does she experience from lactose?

Milrinone Lactose In 5% Dextrose Milrinone Lactate

Milrinone, commonly known and marketed under the brand name Primacor, is a pulmonary vasodilator[1] used in patients who have heart failure. It is a phosphodiesterase 3 inhibitor that works to increase the heart's contractility and decrease pulmonary vascular resistance. I have high cholesterol and need a gluten free, lactose free lipid lowering drug. Please let me know what is available. ## I'm sorry, but the only way I would have access to such information is if I had a specific manufacturers name to check, there is no regular database that has this information. Have you tried asking your pharmacy? They can usually run it through their system using their allergy database to check what might be available for you to use.

I need to find Lactose Free medications to do what the following drugs that contain lactose will accomplish what 1. Plavix 2. Zocor (Simvastatin) can accomplish. My husband has just spent 5 days in the hospital with a drug reaction to lactose and I need to be sure the others he is taking (those listed above containing lactose) can be replaced with something just as effective. ## To be honest, your best bet here might be to go to your local pharnacy, so they can look at the medications they have in stock or can order in and check the inactive ingredients for you. Both the Plavix and the Zocor are available as name brands and generics, which means there are quite a few on the market, manufactured by different companies. There really isn't any way to sort through all of them and check ...

EKG and doc says not a heart issue. Any thoughts on this? ## Hello, Hummingbird! How are you? I am very sorry that you're so miserable, that's terrible. It sounds like it might be causing an acidity problem, most medications can do that. What have you tried for alleviating it? Those symptoms tend to occur with GERD. Eliquis has been known to cause some gastrointestinal bleeding, which leads me to suspect that it can cause severe internal irritation and possibly erosion.
