My son is 4 days old. I had to undergo episiotemy. Can i use pain killers like combiflam and paracetamol? What will be the effect on lactation? ## Hello, Based on my research, Combiflam contains the active ingredients Ibuprofen and Paracetamol. I haven't read any reports stating that Combiflam is unsafe to use during lactation. According to medsafe.gov: "Analgesics such as paracetamol, ibuprofen, naproxen and codeine are considered to be 'safe', due to low transfer into breast milk and few problems with extensive usage." This does not mean that no problems will occur however. Everyone reacts to medication differently and there is always the possibility of a reaction, so to be safe, make certain that you and your baby are under a doctor's care while you are using ...

The only safe anti-allergic during lactation.Looking for this antiallergi as my daughter is nursing a baby ## What country are you in? Terfenadine, formerly sold under the trade name Seldane was discontinued on the U.S. market in 1997, due to the dangers of serious heart complications it could cause as a side effect. Canada pulled the drug in 1999 for the same reasons and it has also been removed from the U.K. market. That said, because of the dangers it causes, I definitely do not think any doctor would recommend its use for a nursing mother. You can read the details here: Has she spoken to her doctor about needing something to use?

white capsule ## i have been on espiride for 11 weeks for lactation. is mass gain a side effect? i want to go off it now, from 3 times a day - do i have to wean myself off them? ## Sorry, I cannot find any information on Espiride. Is it something from outside the U.S., over the counter, or a U.S. prescription medication? ## I have been prescribed Espiride by one medical practitioner and again NUZAN by another. I did not take the Espririe but the side effects of NUZAN do not go well with me. I have been for Homeopathy treatment and they suggest that these are anti depressants. It appears I am suffering from severe anxiety but I am being prescribed anti depressants which makes me feel worse.Any views or advice?

multi vitamins &minirals ## my doctor prescribed Ar-Natal to me during pregnancy and lactation, I noticed the good health during this pregnancy unlike the previous times. During lactation, i noticed a good amount of milk for my baby. ## So glad that it helped you, Salma. And that is exactly why such vitamins are prescribed. In many cases, it's very difficult for the mother to take in enough nutrients for herself and the developing baby through diet alone, so it's best to add a supplement to ensure that getting the proper amounts isn't a problem. So, rest assured that if your doctor wants you to take one, they have the best interests of you and your baby in mind. However, they are pretty potent, so some women experience nausea, after taking them. Are there any comments or...
