high blood pressure medication ## My mother was told to add this medicine to her current blood pressure medicine - what is the purpose of Prexim 4mg - any side affects? ## My Dr prefer Prexim4mg instead of Cozaar or Pritorco because of Angiodema and Brogispasma. Is there any side effects of this before i start with Prexim4mg with Fedaloc ## I try to find out iss there any side effects of Prexum becauce im using cozaar. And dr prefer prexim becauce of angiodema and brongismaAlready submit ## Prexim is list as containing Cefexime, which is an antibiotic, it is not used to treat high blood pressure. Can you all double check the name and post back? The NIH lists the typical side effects of this antibiotic as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and diarrhea.

ACE Inhibitor ## I use Prexum for about 4 years and over this period I've got ocassional iching on my feet and thighs, not suspecting Prexum. I've been to doctors, but nothing helped. I've spoken to a friend who also suffered from this terrible foot iching, and told me his doctor changed his Prexum to something else due to this side effect caused by Prexum, and his itching is gone!!! I've been unable to find a listing of the active ingredients in this medication. However, I can tell you that as listed by the NIH, such swelling is usually due to an allergic reaction, which could continue to get worse, she may experience more swelling and start to have problems breathing. Is there an interaction between the two medications ## Prexum Plus contains Perindopril and Indapamide, both of which are commonly prescribed to treat CHF, though it may cause side effects, such as nausea, headache, dizziness and dehydration. Nuzak contains the active ingredient Fluoxetine, which is an SSRI antidepressant. Is her doctor aware that she is taking the antidepressant with the other medication? Combining the Fluoxetine with the Indapamide can increase the risk of hyponatremia, which is very low serum sodium.

I've been on prexum plus for about a month and a half 3 weeks ago I developed a throat infection if been on antibiotics but my throat is still scratchy and sore at times I have not taken the prexum for a day now and seems like throat is getting better but I don't want to stop all together till I see the doc again is it possible it is the plexum causing the throat iretation. ## Hello, Scotty! shortly after Aortic valve replacement (2006), I started using Prexum Plus. initially I had severe problems with balance, to the extent that I had to crawl on some occasions. Then without telling the doctor, I just stopped taking them. I had never had a blood pressure problem before and at the time my BP was constantly 110/70. last year (2013) I had a problem with depression and the doc's found out that I had stopped taking them and I started using them again. I had the same problems again, severe dizziness, but I stuck with it and am fine now.

I want to know about Prexum (perindopril) ## My father was given Prexum as blood pressure medication by his doctor. He was told to take 2 tablets a day, but after about 5 days he ended up in the hospital gravely ill. His body was quivering, eyelids, mouth and hands were unsteady. Been taking Prexum Plus for 5 years and my BP is very low now, can I stop immediately? ## Hello, Margaret! How are you? Please consult your doctor, before stopping the medication. There is a risk that abruptly stopping it could cause your heart rate and blood pressure to rise to dangerous levels. How low is it? ## Thank you so much for the reply and advice.
