GOT KICKED OUT OF MY PAIN CLINIC FOR A +THC TEST. BUT THAT IS WRONG CAUSE I DONT SMOKE POT. DOC SAID IT WAS IN ME SO I HAD TO, BUT IT WAS JUST A STICK TEST NOT A LAB SO IT COULD HAVE BEEN WRONG. THAT AND THERE WAS 4 OR 5 TEST ON THE COUNTER AND THE GUY GIVIN THEM MITE HAV MIXED THEM UP. NOW IM OUT OF MY MEDS AND IN KILLER PAIN. R THERE ANY GOOD PAIN DOCS IN KY? I need to find a doc in ky that can help me with my pain. I've been going for years now and they decided to take me off my meds. The doctors want to give me shots in my back and I don't want that. I have been taking Percocet 10 for over 4 years and now they just want to give me ms contin 15 which gives me a bad headache and doesn't help my pain. I don't want a doc to overload me on meds. One might prescribe medications, while another prefers to use other therapies. So, there's no way to guarantee what any given doctor will do, or if they will or will not prescribe anything. Do you currently have a PCP that could refer you to someone? Can anyone recommend a good doctor in that area?

I live in Ky and been on pain meds probably 13 yrs but recently I was gave a script for tyneol 3 by my gastric dr and he knew I had a family dr prescribing loratab 10's but I filled the script for tyneol 3 and my family dr run a kasper on me called me and told me she can no longer write me any controlled substance scripts is this true? please help I am desperate ! ## Hello, I think your best option would be to ask your doctor why she can no longer write the prescriptions you need. What she prescribes is at her own discretion and if she says that she can't write a prescription for a certain medication, then she is allowed to do so. I went to pain management dr Lexington ky for yrs. He died n the new one was terrible! Im going to a different clinic n Lexington. But it takes 3 hrs to see dr n I don't get half of what I use to. Last Saturday I went to the dentist and for five teeth removed which required for me to have stitches I have been in server pain the dentist only have me 12 tabs of 7.5 /325 mg of endocet in that just don't work long so I just took 30 mg of morphine will that help with my pain also is 30 mg a high dose ## @Kyanna, Sorry to hear about the severe tooth pain. I can't imagine how you might be feeling after having five teeth removed in one sitting. I was on lortab for 6 years. They stoppd workn and my doctor wouldn't raise or switch me to another med. Then he died. I starts getn pills off the street because I couldn't get another Dr fast. I went to local Dr and he talked me into suboxone. I stayed on that for 7 months but it wasn't helping with my pain. Great for the withdrawals though. That's been 4 years ago. I recently told I have carpal tunnel. I suffer from neck pain,knee pain.back pain and now my hands throb. It hard for me to clean my house or enjoy life. I'm trying to find a new doctor after my GP retired. I've got several issues I need both hips replaced both knees my spine has been declared inoperable . Have exsposed siatic nerve root exposed along w 13 heart stents and 1illact stent off femoral artery. Lft leg. Not to mention I've been passing kidney stones non stop senice 2014! Hi, all, I just moved to Covington, KY from. Brooklyn, NY. I am taking Nucynta ER 150 mg/3 x a day, lyrica, celexa, Xanax 2 mg/3 x a day and a muscle relaxant. The main issues are the Nucynta and Xanax. I have had doctor after doctor laugh in my face when asking for this prescription. I started Xanax five years ago and Nucynta about a year ago. No one wants to prescribe Nucynta, either. I have tried Vicodin, oxy--everything. But finally found that Nucynta (a drug I paid $1500 for WITH insurance in NY) works for me. (I am a full time children's book author who spends 12 hours a day on the computer.) I am not an addict and will willingly comply to all drug panels. I'm a 28 year old in filing for disability with severe depression a anxiety as well as Arthritis and fibromyalgia. I'm unable to work and have been on the dose of 10/325 mg Lortab two times a day #60 a month. My pcp has been prescribing it since I was dismissed on good terms with my pain dr since no spinal procedures to block pain helped and he didn't just so scripts. My pcp is no longer covered under my insurance and so I'm looking for a pain dr who accepts passport Medicaid insurance and would prescribe this type of medication. Ice been at two pills a day for 4 years but wanted to increase to 3 and my dr won't allow this. Any help appreciated

My mother is in her mid 60's and was getting perc 15s but she was seeing a TN doc and she lives in KY. I have been taking methadone 20mgs. twice a day, plus 10mgs of oxycodone 4 times a day for the breakthrough pain. This has been my regimen for over 2 years now. But before I was only on methadone by itself since aug of '99. I went from 140 mgs. down to 70 and now I am down to 40. I need to find a pain clinic closer to home. Maybe in TN or Lexington, Ky. Does anybody know of one in these locations? I would greatly appreciate the help.

I have been unable to go to the doctor for over a year. I do not drive and rely on my daughter to take me. She had been living out if state. I have been seen by the lexington va for 2 years now with constant back pain. I've had shots and therapy for the pain. The only thin my PCM is giving me is tramadol which I have been on for 2 years and is just not doing anything to help. ## Due to the new regulations that have been put in place, if you're looking outside of the VA, you'll need to see a pain management specialist to possibly have anything stronger prescribed. Have you tried asking your doctor to refer you to someone that can help more? Most VA's have their own pain management clinics. i have been having trouble getting a good dr who will write oxycodone 30 mg. my back has been broken before and i was going all the way to Florida (a 16 hour drive) just to get my meds.
