Is there any generic for klonopin? Thanks ## CLONAZEPAM ## i was prescribed this medicine - hence i want to know the details ## What's the difference between .5mg and 1mg? I started on the .5mg and recently was changed to the 1mg ## Im going into rehab and need to be clean of clonazepam. I took 0.5mg. for one year. Been off it 5 days, is it out of my system? I weigh 165lbs. and take no other drugs. ## I was recently prescribed klonopin for panic attacks, anxiety and nervousness. It's the 0.5mg tablet with a #1 on top and a #2 on the bottom. I was just wondering how it may make me feel?!

I had panic attacks a while back and was put on xanax for them. Now they started again and I want to go back to get something for them. My question is how do I tell the Dr. I want klonopin instead of xanax? The xanax put me to sleep where the others don't. ## Hello, Whisper! How are you? I started taking Klonopin 2 months ago. started on .5 mg now up to 1mg three times a day. it seems every time I see my doc he wants to up it because he's worrying about tolerance. I see him every 5-6 weeks. I don't want to be upped every few weeks. Anyone else having this issue? I didnt feel like i was going through withdrawl or anything. I feel like I could sleep all day. ## That really doesn't make any sense. While tolerance is an issue with any medication, there's no way to know when it may happen for any specific person. I've been on and off klonopin for 10 years for a chronic pain condition. I've been tapering from 2 milligrams down to .5 for a year now. Last week I started taking my does once a day a night instead of twice and 3 days later I got very sick. The weirdest part is I'm hearing squeaking in my hear when ever I talk. My body is burning terribly and alot of other symtoms such as twitching. I've been tapering with the .5 pills and the .125 wafers. How should I finish this taper? Do I need to go back up for a while? Or stay at this dose? I'm at my wits end and very scared. Should I do water titration? As for the Kolonapin, valium and ativan. Over the past 4 years, ive used all three. First was valium 10mg tid. It help some with the anxiety but not enuf. It also helped a bit as a muscle relaxer. But my then dr changed me to ativan 1mg, tho he was against it. I changed dr's in sept 2013 who is a general prac, but also a pain mgmt dr. He didnt like the ativan either, mostly cuz I was getting 150 pillz a month so he recently ( dec 2013) switched me to kolonapin 1mg four times daily. I havent noticed major difference between them but so far the kolonapin is working best. As for pain, they only increase meds and dosage. Started with vicodin 5, 7.5 & 10mgs. I was prescribed Klonopin 1mg about 3 years ago to help with anxiety and sleep. I wish I would of never started this Benzo! The "Nurse Practitioner" who handles Mental health patients did not educate me on what I was getting myself into. When I started taking it of course it was helping me sleep & somewhat helping the Anxiety. I would see this Nurse Practitioner once a month and I would speak on how I was feeling. My wife and I moved from the state of Missouri where she received great care from a female Psychiatrist In Springfield Missouri that prescribed my wife 1Mg of Klonopin 3 times a day. We only had enough money to move to Miami Oklahoma when the problem started with another doctor (Dr. Sangal) who cut her dose in half and the doctor after Dr. Sangal (Dr. J. Hello, I am in desperate need for a Dr/psych to prescribe Xanax for debilitating anxiety! I've been diagnosed over 20 years. Started taking klonopin in place of xanax a year ago( my choice) but it's not cutting it!!! I want my life back! my brother (28 yr now ) has been on sizopin ( 200 X 2), klonopin ( 50 X2) a day for around 10 yrs , i doubt he ever has any active symptoms, gradually he developed OCD and very less socialy interactive, his personality could develop as an adult. we changed to a new DR. who directed to reduce sizpin to total 300mg and started Fluvoxamine ( 100 X 2) and cold turkey klonopin... though the OCD get controlled , but his anxiety become severe.. further pushes for more reduction.. but we hav fear that after too long time of 10 yrs, withdram may affect adversely... just like klonopin withdrawl... plz give some guidance in this regard

I have been taking Crestor 10 mg for 5 months but on various Statins for 2O years. A few days ago my skin started to feel like I had a sunburn in my face, behind my neck, buttocks and legs, plus a bit of a sore throat. Hi. I’m on seroquel, gabapentin, methylphenidate, klonopin, and lithium. I had surgery. Had filled out all the meds I take. After surgery I was on norco for 4 or 5 days. Still hurting and severely inflamed. I called the surgeons office. He gave me Tramadol 50 mg every 4 hours and ibuprofen. After about 4 days I started having tremors. Face and neck twisting stretching kind of thing. My left thigh is still numb and leg was very heavy. Also constant clearing my throat and non stop humming or singing or just making grunting noises. I started at this new dr.'s office and je wil not up my dose from 1mg. Klopin and only gives me 45 of them, I told him it's nt holing me so he ups something else. ## I am not sure that anyone can help you, since you didn't post what area you are in. What medication did he adjust, instead of the Klonopin? You have to understand where you doctor is coming from. Klonopin is a Benzodiazepine and due to their addictive nature and how commonly abused they are, it is a controlled substance. This means that he has to account for every single prescription he writes for it, should the FDA or DEA ask questions. I have been going to a methadone clinic for the past five years now. Recently they started a new law that says any of their patients taking methadone and prescribed benzodiazepines will have to drop their methadone dose down to 80 milligrams. I have been on Klonopins or some type of nerve medication for most of my life and am on disability because of my extreme anxiety disorder. I stopped taking Effexor 75 mg on Tuseday and started Zoloft 100 mg on Wednesday. I felt sick all day life the flu, I then took 100 Zoloft on Thursday and still feel sick, and I did throw up earlier. I really feel like I'm going through withdrawals from something. I am also taking 50 mg of Trazodone. I started that this Wednesday. I have been on 1 mg of Klonopin for years. What is going on? ## Ideally, it would have been best to slowly taper down on the Effexor, while going up on the dose of the Zoloft.
