Will this med help with lower back pain, because when I put it on it is not hot? It remains cold... ## Hello, Karen! How are you? There is nothing in this to make it heat up, though some over the counter products like IcyHot do, it isn't necessary to actually relieve pain. Additionally, those products don't actually heat up, anyway, they only stimulate nerve receptors to make it feel as though they do. Is it helping you? ## Hello. My Dr gave. me a compound that consisted of Keto 10%- Amit 3%- Ga 6%- and emla cre #150 and it helps. He gave it to me for my back but I have also used it on my knees, stomach, shoulders and hips, but your Dr has to call it in. Hope this helps. ## I'm supposed to rub a pea-sized amount of Keto/Dex/Lido on the irritation on my back (3 times daily). ...

Will this be helpful for shoulder back and neck pain I get shots for all areas but they only take some of the pain away Biofreeze helps a little but only lasts a few hours If I put it on during the night I have to get up and wash my hands so they don’t go numb or I rub my eyes during the night Will this formula help my pain longer at night and during the day ## This is only a topical cream, so it really depends on what is causing your pain. It may not help with all types of pain. The FDA warns that it may cause side effects, such as skin redness, irritation, itching, and flaking. Have you tried it, yet? If so, how is it working for you?

Does this cream have side effects? I am rubbing it on the side of my heel for plantar fasciitis. ## The most common side effects, according to the FDA, are related to its topical use and may include skin redness, dryness, flaking, itching, and irritation. You rarely absorb enough of it for it to cause other side effects, but there is a chance you may experience headaches and dizziness. Is there anything else I can help with?

To be used as pain relief for arthritis of hip ## From you've stated, this is something custom ordered by a doctor, which contains Ketoprofen, Cyclobenzaprine, and Lidocaine, it is most commonly used topically to alleviate pain. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including skin redness, irritation, burning, and dryness. Is there anything I can help with?

Should I feel funny after applying this medication ## Hello, LC! How are you? What do you mean by feeling funny? The lido is Lidocaine, which is an anesthetic, so after application, your skin may feel tingly and numb. Otherwise, the other side effects, as listed by the FDA, are generally limited to its topical use and can include skin redness, irritation and dryness.

Can this topical cream affect your sleeping cycle??? Can it make you sleep a heavy sleep? ## Hello, JoAnn! How are you? No, it shouldn't. The medications may cause drowsiness as side effects, but you only absorb a little of them, when using them topically, so it shouldn't cause a deep, heavy sleep. For that to happen, someone would basically have to almost bathe in it. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thanks so much. Can it be addictive? ## Hello, I just received a topical Cream Keta/Cyclo/GABA/Lido (10%/2%/6%/3.5%). I was told to put it in all places where I am experiencing pain and on the bottle it says: Apply 3 times daily for pain and/or muscle spasms as needed. *** PLEASE HELP ANYONE!!! *** I suffer from extreme nerve pain in my back. It affects the left side more...

I recently got keto/lido/cycl cream that was prescribed to me because a year ago I got whiplash from a car accident and it still hasn't gone away. I was wondering whether or not I could use the cream with a heating pad as for I use the pad alot? The cream is exactly 10% ketoprofen 6G, 4% lidocaine 2.4G, and 1% cyclobenzaprine 0.6G. I would very much appreciate anyone who could answer me. Thank you! ## Hi Jessica, thank you for bearing with me as I did not have a chance to reply back to your other thread. Because there is Lidocaine in the cream I would avoid using a heating pad unless you can get an okay from your doc or the compounding pharmacist. I read on a page from drugs.com about the Lidoderm patch (which is basically another topical form of Lidocaine, but administered through ...

Apply since 2 weeks this topical cream. 3 days ago I started to experience numbness of the entire foot. It's getting more frequent by the hour. Assume this to be a side effect since I did not experience foot numbness before and it is only in the foot I am applying this cream on the right side. Per docs instruction I have to apply 4 times a day combined with 3 times a day: Ketamine 5% Gel. Any advice for me? Thank you. ## Hello, Peter! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. That is very unusual, generally side effects are limited to topical skin reactions, such as redness, irritation and burning. The Lidocaine is an anesthetic, so it could possibly do that. Do you know how much of it is in there? Is there a dosage listed? Have you consulted your doctor a...

if a person rubs this compound cream on their lower back can this medication cause diarrhea? ## Hello, Max! How are you? In theory, it shouldn't, because you don't typically absorb enough of it to cause such issues, so the FDA lists its typical side effects as usually being due to its topical administration and may include skin irritation, redness, dryness, and itching. However, everyone is different and some people are more sensitive to medications than others, so it also cannot be ruled out. Is the patient on any other medications? Do they get diarrhea regularly, or only after using this cream?

Does this have an expiration date? ## Hello, Jack! Is it a cream or an ointment? They do have expiration dates, but not the same for all. So, can you please post back with this additional information? Thanks! ## Does anyone know if your prescriptions consistencies change the effect of the drug. My first bottle was the consistency more like Vaseline. Now my second bottle is more like creamy lotion. Other than that this seems to help with my severe back and neck pain.

Can anyone tell me the prescription trade name for a cream containing baclofen 20 mg, ketoprofen 150(?), and lidocaine 50 mg? ## From my own investigation, pain creams that contain these types of ingredients are formulated in compound pharmacies and therefore do not have a trade name like many other topical prescriptions. These are just generic topical formulas that can vary in ingredients with anything from what's listed below, to other combinations that I have not included here: -Baclofen, Ketoprofen, Lidocaine -Baclofen Gabapentin, Ketoprofen, Lidocaine -Baclofen, Cyclobenzaprine, Ketoprofen, Lidocaine -Baclofen Gabapentin, Ketoprofen, Lidocaine, Dicyclomine -Ketoprofen, Gabapentin, Lidocaine, Amitriptyline Hope this helps! ## My compounding pharmacy calls it Baclo-Keto-Lido 2/10...

Could this cream cause a scaly red rash that itches if using too much? ## Hi Madonna, Concerning side effects, The US National Library of Medicine (also known as NIH.gov) lists skin rashes/itchy/red/blistering/peeling/ or otherwise as potential symptoms and/or allergic reactions relating to all of the medications listed above, except for Baclofen. So just to clarify, this includes Ketoprofen (Keto) + Cyclobenzprine (Cyclo) + Lidocaine (Lido). And this isn't necessary in regards to using too much, but just happen to be side effects in general. NIH goes on to state that you should contact your doctor immediately if you do experience these symptoms. I hope this helps answer your question!

I've rub a small amount on once and nothing happen but I want to try using more. ## Hello, Rick! How are you? What type of reaction do you have to Aspirin and Ibuprofen? They are both NSAIDs and so is the Ketoprofen, so you may also have a reaction to it. Did your doctor prescribe this cream?

I was giving this compound for my foot by a doctor, but is their any type of reaction I could have from using this compound cream ## That means the active ingredients are Ketoprofen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and Lidocaine, which is a topical anesthetic. Learn more Ketoprofen details here. Learn more Lidocaine details here. Usually, you don't absorb enough of it to experience many side effects, so the most commonly reported issues are irritation to the area where you apply it. Is there anything else I can help with?

I'm cleaning out my medicine cabinet and came across this old RX (cream). It doesn't say what it is for. Can ypu tell me what this RX is used for? ## Hi Suzanne, Based on my research, I believe the abbreviations you mentioned are supposed to correspond with the following list of medications: Ketoprofen (Keto), Baclofen (Baclo), Cyclobenzprine (Cyclo), and Lidocaine (Lido) Apparently the cream itself is meant to be used for inflammation and pain. However, I am unsure of what "Flurb" is supposed to stand for. Do you have any other clues as to what this particular ingredient may be? ## Flurbiprofen is a NSAID that has been available since 1988. It is rarely prescribed in oral form as it has been known to cause spikes or fluctuations in blood pressure and reduces the effecti...
