Round while pill split on one side TEC on other ## Hi kerry, Unfortunately, after trying several searches I haven't been able to locate a match in any of the U.S. prescription drug databases. Odds are that it could be either manufactured outside of the U.S. or that it is an over the counter medication, as OTC meds aren't required to be listed in the drug databases. If you're able to, I would consider taking the pill over to your local pharmacy and having it analyzed by their team to see if they can come up with anything. Also double check the marking if you think there's more to it than what you stated. Did you obtain this pill off the street by chance?

What is this pill? White, scored, capsule shaped that says GMP-12 ## Hi Kerry, Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a pill that matches your description exactly. The closest match I've found is Metformin (1000 mg); which is an oral anti-diabetic drug in the Biguanide class. It is the first-line drug of choice for the treatment of type 2 diabetes, in particular, in overweight and obese people and those with normal kidney function. It is a white oval pill with the imprint GP 128 (divided by a score line) Manufacturer: Sandoz Pharmaceuticals Inc. National Drug Code (NDC): 00781-5052 Has anyone seen a pill like the one Kerry has described? If so, please post back with any information you can provide. Thanks!

What is it for? Found it in the cupboard. Blue round pill marked Searle 2011. ## Hi Kerry, After a lot of investigation I found many pills marked with Searle, but still have yet to find a match to your pill. What I did find though was the name of the manufacturer (Searle); who is now merged with Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. I just want ted to find out if Tripolene is safe to use when on Statins for Cholesterol? ## Hello, Kerry! How are you? Which statin? I'm sorry, but I need to know which one, in order to check for you. Can you please post back and clarify? Thank you! Tripolene is listed as containing the active ingredient Amitriptyline and the FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight changes.

My 9 year ols nephew is on 40 mg a day this seems too much! He seems distant and depressed all the time, should I be concerned? ## Hi Kerry, From what I could gather, the usual pediatric dose can range from 5mg up to a maximum of 60mg once daily. The extended release capsules are not recommended for anyone age 6 or under, so I can only speculate that his body (from a biological standpoint) may not even be ready to handle this medication. Safety guidelines for this medication note that if any bothersome adverse reactions appear (e.g., insomnia, anorexia, or depression in this case), the dosage should be reduced. I think it's perfectly ok and natural to be concerned for someone who looks depressed and distant. This would probably be attributed to side effects and/or too high of a dose...

Hi there, My Boyfriend was prescribed Topzole for 2 weeks for his bad heart burn and heavy acid reflux. He is worried however after reading on the internet that bad side effects it may have lasting up to a few months EG: hair loss? is this a possibility? Is this the best route to go? I was on suboxone when i found out i was pregnant so they switched me to subutex but at 6wks 5 days i was told i had a large subchrionic hemerage behind my placenta and my babys sack and the babys heart was staying aroubd 100 instead of the normal 110 and higher.
