Does anyone know if you can take a Lortab 10 (Watson) and Keflex 500mg (Cephalexin Cap) together? ## You can take almost anything with Keflex. never went to dr. as thought be ok put ice pack on took strong vit.--as antibotics really mess by system up-went to dr. after 4 days -it was looking better but feel funny and leg is getting to acke down below spot-- the spot was about 2 by 4 in. place covered with tiny blister looking bumps and the 2 big blister--it was pink now a dark red and smaller--went to young dr now after 5 days and got an antibotic, it was keflex, 1 --4 x day for 10 days --dont I need one to work faster ?should I go to another dr?it has a hurting on below my leg now-antibotics bother me real bad -afraid to take it and now afraid -not to takee it but take so long to help--do ineed a stronger quicker one? I have a bad stye on my lower eyelid and it is causing my eye to become red. Can I use Amoxicillin-Clavulanic acid 875mg for my eye? Last time I had this I had periocular cellulitis and I have the same symptoms. I was given Keflex, but I have a prescription for this medication. ## It may help, but you should not take it, unless your medical provider approves, because antibiotics should not be overused. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and diarrhea. Has any testing been done to see what's causing them? I used to get them, while married to my ex-husband, but I haven't gotten one in years. (I said this, so I will likely develop one soon. I currently take 71mg of methadone, klonopin 3mg, 100mg of hydroxyzine, and levothyroxine 25mcg everyday. I have cellulitus of my ear and was prescribed keflex 500mg 2xday. I was just diagnosed with folliculitis by my family doctor an he put me on keflex and my dermatologist has me putting flouocinolone acetonide on it. Is this normal? ## Hi George, From what I could gather, folliculitis is reported to be a common type of skin condition (usually caused by a bacterial or fungal infection) in which the hair follicles can become inflamed. So it makes sense to me why you were prescribed an antibiotic such as Keflex (cephalexin) for the infection as well as Fluocinolone acetonide, which is a topical corticosteroid mainly used for reducing skin inflammation and itching. This combination of meds would essentially be attacking the folliculitis from both angles, and in my opinion, seems like an appropriate course of action. I hope this helps!
