The FDA classifies Gabapentin as an anticonvulsant, though it can also help with certain types of nerve pain and some mood disorders. Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, weight gain, dry mouth and mood swings. Tramadol is, however, classified as an opioid, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, drowsiness and constipation. Need some help & advice please re: my ms contin 60mg pills. Been taking 4 yrs. 2xs day. Also have dilauidid as needed 4 breakthru pain. Really not fond of relying on do much meds & would like 2 try & cut back on the ms contin if possible by myself. But HOW in the world do you CUT those little HARD HARD beads??? come on!!?! Please help me find a dr who prescribes hydrocodone. I can't find one who still follows the hypocratic oath of (first do no harm) The very day I and everyone in chronic pain with X-rays and MRI are put in harms way. It generally isn't recommended, because you could end up taking too much of the Acetaminophen, which has the potential to be fatally toxic. Do pharmacys know when oxycodone is due to be delivered ## Hi Kat, It is my theory that pharmacies DO know when any specific medication is going to be delivered. I say this because it is in their power to order these drugs in bulk from various manufacturers or distributors. Although I'm not fully aware of what goes on behind the scenes at any given pharmacy, this is apparent to me because they have to order the medication from somewhere and then charge more for it than they paid the manufacturer. There would be no need for drug manufacturers if pharmacies made their own medications. I hope this perspective helps!
