i have an allergic rhinitis,can i drink montelukast even thou i am taking refampicin now..thanks ## From what I can find, they can be used together, but the antibiotic Rifampicin can reduce the effectiveness of the Montelukast, by making it clear out of your body faster than normal. This means it may not help you as long or as much as it would, if you weren't taking the antibiotic, but it is not dangerous. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist to be certain, though. I have a 9 month old baby boy who weighs 10.5 kg. He had his first asthma attack since he was on his 6th. Monthly he would had his attacks. His pediatrician prescribed him 1 nebule Salbutamol (Ventolin) and 1/2 nebule Budesonide (Asmavent) every 4 hours, Prednisone (Prolix) 2.5ml 2x a day, Pocaterol HCl (Meptin) 2.5ml 3x a day and Cefixime (Tergecef) 1.5ml 2x a day. Then I went on a second opinion pediatrician, she prescribed Ceterizine (Allerkid) 1ml before bedtime, Salbutamol-Ipratropium (Duavent) 1 nebule for every 6 hours, Erythromycin (ilosone) 2ml 3x a day and Montelukast (Kastair) 1 tablet before bedtime. I had a neighbor whose her baby is taking Montelukast for almost 2 years now. She said his son had no longer attacks. My question is, is it okay for my baby that I will give him... ...

kastair 10mg how long it should take? ## Kastair contains Montelukast, it is used to treat asthma and allergy attacks. Most of these medications work pretty fast, but it really depends on the severity of the attack being treated and the medication formulation. The EX tabs will work faster, because they are specially designed to dissolve and help the medication get into your body faster than regular tablets.
