I'm looking for a doctor in the Kansas City Missouri area who prescribes Adderall without going through a psychiatrist. ## Hello, Amie! How are you? Technically, any doctor with their license to practice medication could prescribe it, however, due to the new directives set forth by the DEA last year, most will not and will require you to go to a psychiatrist. To avoid improper prescribing and over prescribing, it's been decided that it's best for specialists to handle the prescribing of such medications. Doctors can, in some cases, prescribe them for existing patients, without any issues, but most have just gone hands-offs. The FDA lists Adderall as a stimulant that is most commonly used to treat ADHD and narcolepsy. It carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause s...

I got k 25 phentermine from Qualitest pharma inc kansas. Is this the real one. Looks different ## When I search for the K 25 imprint, the Phentermine (37.5 mg) is a white oval shaped pill, with blue specs, marked with K | 25, separated by a score line/divider. This particular pill is said to be manufactured by KVK Tech Inc. Can you possibly describe what your pill looks like? ## My K 25 looks like yours, only half as deep. I have a side by side .jpg of the two tabs, but no way to upload. The company's name is Qualitest pharma inc kansas and is apparently fake. I assume that it is a deliberate attempt to confuse people. Qualitest Pharmaceuticals is a real company that happens to manufacture another generic for Adipex, the V 50 30, but they are not in Kansas. I took one of the tabs, a...

I've been taking Xanax for a few years now and I've been with my Dr. for 8 years. My Dr. moved in July 2017 and we received a new Nurse Practitioner in late August 2017. I scheduled an appointment with her so I could meet her and go over my history. She completely took me off my Xanax and my Ambien and put me on Klonopin. My daughter whose an RN, told me she did NOT want me taking Klonopin. But I thought I would try it. After only taking 2 doses of it my anxiety was so extreme I really thought I would just explode. I felt like I could hurt someone. My skin felt like it was on fire. My heart rate dropped to 73, it normally runs in mid 90's. I also got flu like symptoms. I let the NP know and she tried to tell me it was just allergies and to give it a chance. So I told her I r...

I am currently taking MsContin and lortab for headaches, lumbar herniations, degeneration, stenosis and sciatica and dysmennorhea I plan on moving in the next 11 months thanks for any help ## Hi, Chaos! How are you? When moving to a new area and requiring those types of medications for long-term chronic pain, you're best bet would be to establish a relationship in the new area with a PCP, then have them refer you to a pain management specialist. There are so many new regulations in place, that it's going to be hard to get the help you need, if you try to do it some other way, such as finding a doctor on your own. Learn more MS Contin details here. Learn more Lortab details here. Have you discussed it with your current doctor? They may have a colleague in that area that they can ...

I am uninsured and have a referral to a pain management clinic, but cannot afford the clinic. I would like to know of any cheap doctors who would prescribe the narcotic pain medication I need to be on in the Kansas City MO area. ## Hi, Kat! How are you? I'm sorry, but under the new regulations that were put in place this year, if you require narcotic pain medications on a long-term basis to treat chronic pain, you're going to have to see a pain management specialist. PCPs are no severely restricted in what they can prescribe, how long they can prescribe it and why they can prescribe it. Do you qualify for any type of assistance to help paying for the clinic? ## Hello Verwon, thank you for the reply. I am currently trying to get Medicaid but I know the clinics do not take Medicai...

I have rsd/crps, my pain management physician is moving, my disease involves bilateral hands and feet, my right shoulder is bone on bone and is not repairable, i need to find a pain management physician in the kansas city or springfield mo area that utilizes a written contract for narcotic pain management ## Hello, Kay! How are you? Just a warning: If you contact places and ask them about prescribing narcotics, before you're a patient, most will view that as being drug seeking behavior and won't even let you get in the door. So, if you do get a good recommendation, you'll want to wait, until you are at an appointment with them, to discuss your treatment options. I'm not saying you're doing this, I'm just letting you know, in case. And with any doctor, there's...

Hello everyone, So I've been doing the pain management thing the correct way for about 15 years. I take Opana ER and Oxycodone IR every day. I've finally found the right dosage of each to be able to at least cope with my Ankylosing Spondylitis as well as the 3 different columns I've had fused. Well lucky me I found out yesterday I'm being transferred to KC MO next week! My current doc didn't know anyone there to refer me to, so I'm asking for everyone here's assistance. At this point I'm not too terribly picky. Yeah I would prefer a place that didn't treat me like I'm some sort of junky just because I know exactly what works for me. However I do understand that that's going to happen wherever I go for the most part. Any help is greatly appreci...

I am a 50+ y/o man who has had enough problems to where they are so overwhelming I have come close to losing my job and am now filing for short term disability. I need to find a doctor who does not mind to prescribe some benzodiazepines so I can level out just a little bit. Anywhere near Lawrence or Olathe kansas would be great if anybody knows a psychiatrist for me. Or anywhere in Kansas would have to work if these are not available. Please help me ## HI Bradley, I'm sorry to hear about what you're going through. Unfortunately, no one can really know ahead of time what a psychiatrist/doctor is or is not willing to prescribe, as that is based solely on their discretion and not on someone else's previous appointment. Some advice I can give you is to not specifically ask for a...

My wife is having severe panic attacks and having trouble finding a doctor that will prescribe her a benzo to help. We live in the Kansas City area. Any recommendation would be helpful. ## Hi everyone, I know this thread is based on Kansas City, but I'm new to this site and not sure how to start my own thread elsewhere. I'm in a pickle right now because I'm prescribed Klonopin but I have a feeling that will be coming to an end soon because my doctor just had me sign over a release for my medical history which is tarnished with substance abuse from years ago when I was younger. Klonopin allows me to actually live life and not isolate myself in my house like a hermit. I live in Rhode Island and I'm desperate to find a new doctor who will not be so stringent with prescribin...

I recently received knee surgery due to a car accident. However, I was already receiving Oxycodone for the pain associated with me tearing my ACL. The insurance company of the people who were responsible for the accident paid for my surgery, but in doing so, I violated my physician's policy of seeing another Dr. So he cut me off. I have all my medical records and I'm experiencing extreme pain. Searching for Oxy 30's on the streets are out of the question. Can anyone recommend an alternative route/ Dr.? ## Do u still have any oxy left? Or were you able to obtain any?

I too am a chronic pain sufferer, I was in a bad car accident several years ago, all my limbs were broken at once and they used my hip to rebuild one of my feet. I have a GP that has been helping me but now feels she has been letting me use too many narcotics and has abrubtly cut me off. I'm interested in controlling the pain not using the pills but it feels like nobody really cares. Is there any doctors in the Kansas City area who believe in pain management with narcotics. I believe that if you don't understand the pain of the indivdual it's hard to understand why we ask these questions. I don't want to shop for a docotor that's not what I do but what are we suppose to do if they won't help us. ## Hello, JJ! How are you doing? I am very sorry about the problem t...

Moved from Alabama to Kansas and cannot get keprocaine cream in Kansas. Any suggestions on where I could purchase cream.
