Percoset Before Surgery
1 Reply RSS
Hello, I am having a lumbar puncture to measure CSF pressure in a week. I have been prescribed low-dose percoset (1/2 of 7.5/325 per day) to help with the pain and pressure until the lumbar puncture. I was told not to take any blood-thinning medications until the procedure. Can I still take the percoset? Or will it thin the blood as well? ## From what I could gather Percocet has two components; Oxycodone + Acetaminophen, and neither are blood thinners. So you should be fine taking it prior to your surgery. Learn More: Acetaminophen + Oxycodone Details If you have any more questions or concerns, please post back and I will be happy to help you. ...

why will your pain management dismiss you
2 Replies RSS
In what cases will a pain management doctor dismiss you.do they give you any chances? ## Hello, Miche 4! How are you? I really depends on the pain management doctor, however, if you are seeing one, you will most likely have to sign a treatment contract, which will lay out the specifics for you. Some of them require that you not take pain medications from any other doctor for any reason, some require regular sampling to prove you're taking medications as prescribed. Any violation could result in your being dismissed, without notice. We are a free information website and, as such, our site is not monitored 24/7 for emergency postings. As to how long it would take death to occur, there is no hard and fast rule on that, it depends on how much of a tolerance the person in question has to the medication, as well as anything else they may be taking and other medical conditions.
