I am a 16 year old girl who was diagnosed with a severe vitamin D deficiency last year followed by hypermobility syndrome. For the last few days, I was having pain and a grinding sensation in my right jaw, when I consulted a doctor he said that it was because my collagen is not as strong as it was before and recommended me cartigen plus and gave me a tooth mask made of plastic . After a few days, I have noticed that I am getting the same grinding sensation in my articular capsules ( upper vertebraes of spine). I am very scared because it is spine related. Is cartigen plus going to take care of this or should I be concerned?

When I started to feel better- I asked to be taken off of it as I did not want to be on such heavy medication...I do not want my body full of this crap- but I also HAVE to function. I have numbness and pain in both hands. My joints in feet and hands are starting to look disfigured. Hello, I have been managing joint and joint replacement pain for years with Norco 10/325 on an as-needed basis. We are using the 10 mg because it as a smaller ratio of Tylenol than the 5/325. I have been careful to use it only as needed because I fear addiction. Recently I painfully injured my hip and needed to use pain killers more often. My doctor switched me to Percocet, which did little for the pain and gave me a huge headache. I thought maybe the headache was a fluke or had to do with switching from Norco, so I spent a 3 day weekend in a chair without any pain meds and then tried the Percocet again, but the results were the same - headache and little pain reduction. So I went back to the Norco, using it more often and in a slightly higher dose. My biggest fear became reality - I de...

I have been very ill for 12 yrs with fibro, osteo, and dengenerative neck joint disease, and have been treated very little for over 6 yrs by VA Dr.'s, then got my disability, medicare, and medicaid, and found a little better care with Family Dr., I then found a Pain Clinic , and received a little better care, but they still leave me in pain. I have tried what they asked me to do, and have still been left in pain. I don't know what to do? I am tired of hurting, and need a more aggressive doctor to help me. They don't believe in giving us much medicine, and told me that opiate meds don't help us fibro patients?? I don't believe this, but I also have arthritis, and possible RA. I am looking for a doctor that will understand that my joint pain keeps me from living a normal life. anyone know of a doctor that cares about us? and wont tell me to eat healthy and exercise. bc that's a bs answer for me anymore. ## Hello, Katie! How are you feeling? Sorry that you're so miserable, especially at such a young age. Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly? If so, then having them refer you to a specialist will most likely be the best way to find the help you need. New regulations were put in place this year restricting what general practitioners and surgeons can prescribe for pain, how long they can prescribe it, how much they can prescribe and why they can prescribe it, with only a fe...

any adverse side effects or benefits ## Well, the FDA has recognzed it as being beneficial is topic skin care products and some injections for wrinkles, such as in Restylane. Otherwise, I am not seeing a whole lot on adverse effects, but there is a page of information here: ## There are many HA products on the market that claim benefits to joints in humans. However most of them are defective because they contain snippets (low molecular weight segments) of the complex natural hyaluronic acid molecular structure. It has been shown in some careful studies that effective joint support requires HA molecular weight greater than one million Daltons. Taking a tablet or capsule through the human digestive system allows digestive enzymes to reduce even moderate sized HA molecules to thousands of ...

I am suffering from osteoporisis and i have been recommened Kondro Acute tablets. Actually i wanted to know if it is safe for Kidney as my right kidney is not functioning, only my left kidney is funtioning so i have to be very careful in taking medicines. Please let me know at the earliest. ## Kondro Acute contains Glucosamine and Diacerein, this combines a supplement claimed to help joint mobility with an interleukin-1 inhibitor. So, the main concern here is the Diacerein, since it is the actual drug component. From what I have found, when someone has lowered kidney function, the dosage of this medication must be adjusted accordingly. Lowered renal function can cause 50% more of this medication to be absorbed by the body than normal, which could result in overdose. Was this prescribed ...

I've been on Enbrel for a number of months now and have found it useful but my joint pain is getting worse and returning to levels of pain I had before using it. I am on 50ml autoinjection 1x weekly and was wondering if others have had the same problem and if they increased their injections to 2x weekly or not? ## Hello Cas, It could possibly be that your condition is worsening or that you are simply forming a tolerance to the medication. This sort of thing is hard enough for medical professionals to properly diagnose and far harder for those of us on the internet who wish to help you, I suggest that you schedule a visit with your primary care doctor and discuss this matter with them as they will be best equipped to help you manage the situation properly. I need surgery for skin cancer. I have been taking Xarelto since March for Afib. I have waited over a week for my primary care doc to answer this question. Can I stop or do I have to be weaned off? ## Hello, Sandy! How are you? I'm very sorry about the skin cancer and hope that all turns out well. Usually, they have you stop taking it a few days, before surgery, but how long can depend on how complicated and in-depth your surgery will be.
