I am taking candid b cream externally on the groin area & ingesting terbinafine hydrochloride 250mg tablets once a day. I just want to know, is it right or wrong to take these two things at the same time? ## Has your doctor instructed you to take them? The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, skin irritation, redness, stomach pain, diarrhea, and flaking. Are you on any other medications? I don't know what stores you might've already checked, but from what I can tell, "Terrasil Jock Itch Treatment MAX" appears to be available OTC at Walgreens as well as shops like Amazon, Ebay, and a number of other internet retailers. Although I'm sure Walgreens isn't the only place that would carry it locally. You might just have to call around to see if they have it in stock if you don't want to wait around for shipping. I took a full course of Ceftin for bronchitis/sinus infection. About halfway through I noticed tiny bloodstains in my underwear where my peninsula and testicles rest. I also developed an extremely uncomfortable itching and redness in my jock area. I also developed itchiness in my scalp and forehead. It has been a few days since my last dose, and the bloodstains are diminishing. The itchiness has gotten worse, however. I don't know what to do. I have this rash under my scrotum, and it is very itchy at times. Can I use penicillin? Its jocky rash, I have use dactarin but the itch and rash still persist ## No, Penicillin will not work to treat a fungal rash or infection. It is an antibiotic that is only useful in treat or preventing bacterial infections. The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. A fungal rash will require an antifungal medication. Have you consulted a doctor to confirm what's causing it? Are you on any medications?

have a jock itch type rash on both sides of upper penile area. doc said it was yeast infect and prescribed fluconazole one per day for 3 days. It helped but it is back after 4 weeks. I take many supplements including red yeast rice which I just cresumed after being off it for 3 weeks. this rash is not large but gets somewhat painful if I'm active outside ## It's most likely related to your outdoor activities, the moisture from sweating allows the yeast to grow. I have jock itch and I've tried a couple things, but I feel like this one helped me due to it not being super itchy anymore.
