I have a lot of tension and developed cold sore a stiff neck and swollen glands under my jaw. Would Anaerobyl 400 work for this? ## Hello, Heidi! How are you? No, it will not. I have been given doxycycline against Lyme disease, but I suspect I have a jaw abscess/head infection as the jaw is very painful my headaches are localised as well as inflamed nerves and my head feels as if it has pus at the base. Will doxycycline work for abscess and head infections or do I need to get different treatment? ## It is a broad spectrum antibiotic, so it can help with various types of infections. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, and non-allergic skin rash. Have had osteopenia for few yrs., recently diagnosed with osteoporosis in lower spine. First prolia inj. Nov. 2013 and felt good for a few months. Then UTI which I rarely ever had before - bladder feels tender all the time. I am now 76. Use treadmill 20 min when able and yoga stretches. Plan to increase exercises regardless and just rest often. After 2nd inj. I had severe reflux for several weeks, then abdomenal pain and bloating, bowel issues. Now Ive had a headache, jaw and face pain for several days. Stiff neck. Nothing has helped it. I suffer from hypothroidism, osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia, so widespread pain is no stranger to me, but this is different. Keep pain Medications to a minimum. Wake up stiff for longer than usual. Currently taking ice packs to bed for burning hands and...

I just started on the generic Pristiq a little over a month ago and along with all the other side effects I've seen people complain about on here (headaches, jaw pain, heartburn), I'm suffering from TERRIBLE menstrual cramps! I've never had cramps like this before. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not sure the two are even related, but I start taking this and all the sudden I'm having terrible cramps, so I'm wondering if there is a correlation. ## Most medications in this class can cause such a side effect, according to NIH reports. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, and mood swings. If they become severe, or suddenly worsen, you should consult your doctor as this might not be the best medication for you. Can I take tramacet and neurontin for nerve pain? ## I am taking Neurontin for nerve pain in my face. I was also given Tramacet for headaches triggered by pain in the jaw joint. The Neurontin works on the face pain but not the jaw and headaches. I have found if I take tramcet late in the evening it won't let me sleep. The neurontin helps me sleep otherwise. If I take them both in the day time there is no problem but I just take the tramacet once in a day and maybe once or twice a week. I have fibromyalgia so have had trouble sleeping for 17 years - the neurontin is like a miracle drug because I can finally sleep!! And it is the only thing I take now.

3 nights ago, I suddenly developed chills on my hands and feet; followed by ache and soreness. Seemed like like sore throat, the pain under my left jaw( right side too but not as painful) with tension headache or migraine( I'm a migraine sufferer) took maxalt melt but didn't work. Nausea and acidic stomach. After vomit twice, I took 2 x 500mg Aspro - headache gone after half hour, but nausea and pain under chin and jaw kept me from sleeping. I found some Roxithromycin and took one 150mg tab on the third day. The pain around my neck, and collarbone abated. It's Easter weekend can't see my doctor till next Tue or Wed (another 2-3days). Should I continue taking the Roxithromycin until I see my doc? I also have some amoxicillin but I try not to mix. Thanks

Hi, I just recently had to change to the teva brand of clonazepam. Just wanted to know has anyone experience jaw pain. I looked up the ingredients on some other brands and notice that teva has povidone as an inactive ingredient. Could it be the povedone ? ## Hello, Sarah! How are you? Various body aches and pains can be typical side effects of the Clonazepam itself, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. There can be slight fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredient between one generic and another, this is permitted under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, so this one might be a little bit stronger than the one you were taking, which could cause you to experience more side effects. Has there been any change, yet? ## Dear Sarah I...

I was advised by a ER doctor to take Aleve for a serious jaw injury that left me in serious pain. After taking 2 pills a day for a little over a month ( again was recommended to me by the doctor ) I started developing bad headaches, I started getting very agitated and nervous for no reason and I started having really odd dreams. After being unable to get though to the doctor, I just had enough and stopped taking the pills. After a few days I started to see minor improvement. The headaches went from head splitting to very minor and the odd dreams went away BUT what alarmed me was that at times my heart would feel like it was pounding like a drum and over the past few days I started getting occasional hot flashes. My question is this..... is this just "withdrawal symptoms" of me s...
