I am diabetic. I am taking Istamet (Sitagliptin 50 mg + Metformin 500 mg) before lunch over the last month and Trivolib, 1 in morning and night ( over the last year). After taking Istamet 50/500, I lost 4 kilos weight. My sugar count is 124 Fasting 143 PP. Can I stop Istamet? When I asked the Dr. he said if I stop then I have to shift to Insulin. I am confused and wonder whether to stop Istamet and do walking and dieting. Pl suggest.

I have been taking Istamet 50/500 regularly in the morning. Can it cause any side effects to the kidney or any other part of the body? I've been taking it for the last 2 years. I am taking clopitab 75, Istamet, seloken xl 25, rozavel-f 20 and I am having skin rashes/itching. my father age is 64 years. Just 2 months before... he came to know about diabetes. it was 280 after meal. just he started using glucored forte 500 mg. he is taking half tablet in the morning & half in night after food. can u pls... suggest how to take medicine. before food or after food...? how much can he take...? now his blood suger level is 170 after food. Thank you. ## you have to change the medication. Instead of glucored forte change to Istamet 50/500, if can afford or else change to GP1 half tablet 1/2 hour before breakfast (by Dr SK sureshkumar) ## GLUCORED FORT IS GOOD FOR DIABETIC OR ANY OTHER TABLET.

Sitagliptin phosphate mrtoformin hydrochloride istamet tablet should be takeb before or after food ## Unless your doctor has instructed otherwise, it should be taken just before a meal, so it has time to start working, by the time you are digesting your food and may experience the most blood sugar fluctuations. i am a diabetic since last 2 years. regularly visiting doctor in 2 months interval. first doctor prescribed galvus met 500 mg, then 850mg continued for 2 months each. now galvus met 50/1000mg with telista 20 prescirbed. any positive result will come ## What is the benefit of taking this drug along with Istamet and Gluconorm G2 ## Telista contains the active ingredient Telmisartan, it is an ARB that is most commonly used to treat high blood pressure, but it is often given to diabetics, because it has an added bonus of being able to help protect the kidneys from damage. I am a type 2 diabetes, I am taking glycomet trio 2 for the past two years, it very good. My hba1c is always between 6 and 7. Along with glycomet trio 2 I am also taking Istamet 50/500, these two combinations is very good effective. Request your doctor to suggest Glycomet trio 2 and Istamet 50/500, but the glycomet trio 2 is not available in all medical stores, only at apollo pharamacy i am able to get it.

I have been using Istamet 50/500 and Glycomet 500 SR for more than 5 years. Now I am getting pain in my right hand and shoulder. I feel the pain is due to either one of the above mentioned tablets. Please clarify.
