There has been no word yet on how long there will be a shortage due to this issue. The name brand is still available. Have you tried calling different pharmacies to see who might still have some in stock? ## I've been experiencing nose bleeds since starting Isosorb. Is this a normal side effect. I've never had nose bleeds before and at first thought it was the result of surgery and oxygen tubes; however, surgery was a month ago and I'm still experiencing the nose bleeds.

I have been taking isorb mono 30mg for approx 8 days. The biggest side effect is headaches. My question is: What is the result supposed to be to the patient for taking this rx? ## Based on my research, Isosorbide mononitrate is used in the treatment of heart failure, angina pectoris prophylaxis (chest pain), and esophageal spasm. what is it for ## I have been on ISOSORB MONO ER 30 MGfor about 3 weeks, some days I get a all day headache, some days I dont. My husbands Physician prescribed isosorb nono 30 mg er tab. 30 on one side and ww on other side. TABLET SUBSTITUT FOR INDUR 60 MG ER TAB ## For anyone else curious, yes Isosorbide Mononitrate is the active ingredient in Imdur, so that is what the generic would be called. The ER means it is a time released formulation. Learn more Imdur details here. Side effects to this medication may include nausea, dizziness and headache. My Dr. put me on 30mg of isosorb mono er after a heart cath for angina. I developed a headache every day and my angina got worse each day. By the third day the angina was worse than before the cath. I extended the hours between doses til I went off completely and went back to taking l-argine from pantisin. My wife has been taking "isosorb mono er 30mg tab wes" for a couple years. The pharmacy changed the tab to "Isosorb Mono Er 30mg Tab tor". The tablets have a different appearance. Are there any concerns we should have changing to this new tablet? ## No, all that shows is that they have been manufactured by a different company, but it is the same medication, in the same dosage.
