The reason for this is because it contains the active ingredient Tramadol. While Tramadol is listed as just a centrally active analgesic, this has changed several times and been under severe debate. I was looking at 50mg Tramadol or Ultram and want to verify that the ones I saw pictured are the real thing. I want to start back taking soboxone, but am afraid after taking 2 days of ultram, that I will go into withdrawals. Which medication is stronger Tramadol or Lortab? ## Lortab, it is actually a narcotic pain reliever containing Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone. Tramadol is a generic for Ultram and it is a non-narcotic, it does work well for some people, but not great for severe pain suffers. I have searched online and cannot for the life of me find out what this pill is. A friend said he was given them after having knee surgery. is ultram related or in the same family as hydromorphone ## Ultram is not related to hydromorphone. Hydromorphone is Dilaudid, a class 2 controlled substance. A narcotic and addictive pain killer. Ultram is not even a scheduled controlled substance, is not considered a narcotic; HOWEVER, it has been proven to be addictive. Many people have gotten addicted to the tramadol in it. It has 50mg of tramadol in it. Side effects include insomnia, loss of appetite, euphoria, constipation, among others.

was given for pain from my doctor because it was a substitute for lortab? ## This is NOT a substitute for Lortab. Lortab contains Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone. This medication is Tramadol 50mgs, it is listed as a narcotic, because it is derived from an opiate, however, it does not have the same benefits or effects that an opiate does, so it does not work like one.
