is trazodone a narcotic

I just read on Web md that the Fda Now considers trazadone a narcotic. Is this true? ## Hello, Mcky! How are you? No, Trazodone is an SARI class antidepressant. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight changes. It is possible that the person who wrote what you read may have confused it with Tramadol, which is a very common error. Tramadol has been reclassified several times and is now considered an opioid, due to the fact that it is very closely related to narcotics and the FDA has found it to be habit forming. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

I take Trazodone, its not a narcotic but its like a Seroquel and it knocks you out. When i wake up in middle of the night to go to the restroom i have to lean my head on the wall very strong just like Seroquels. So its like a narcotic but beware don't take it every day cause it will have you sleepy if you miss a day of taking it. ## From what I could gather, Pliva 434 does indeed contain the active ingredient Trazodone (100 mg). For verification, this pill is manufactured by Teva and carries a National Drug Code of 50111-0434. Trazodone belongs to a class of drugs called phenylpiperazine and is not categorized as a narcotic medication. However I do find it interesting that it's an antidepressant with multiple use-cases such as insomnia. It should also be noted that "unusual ... ...

I believe your confusion was caused because the names are so similar at the end, but you were incorrectly spelling Methadone. Do you have any other questions? ...

Took an 627 with my sleeping pill traodone by mistake now very dizzy should I be concerned ## Hello, Bj! How are you? The tablet with the AN 627 marking is manufactured by Amneal Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 50mgs of Tramadol. The FDA classifies this as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Trazodone is classified as a tetracyclic antidepressant, that is also used to help with insomnia. Its typical side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and weight gain. Are you still experiencing symptoms? Both of these medications can increase serotonin levels in your body, which could lead to serotonin syndrome and it can be fatal. Have y... ...

white pliva 434 ## This is generic for percocet, a mixture of both oxycodone and acetaminophen ## Dr. Kemp, MD is high, Pliva 434 is Trazodone, 100mg ## Just to clear this up, Gunsel is correct. This is a 100mg Trazodone tablet, it is an SARI antidepressant and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and weight changes. You can learn more Trazodone details here. It is not a narcotic of any type, nor is it related to one. However, some people do misunderstand and make assumptions, because if someone's been taking these types of medications for a long time and suddenly stops, without tapering down, they may experience some pretty bad withdrawal and rebound symptoms, which can resemble opiate withdrawal, though usually they aren't as dangerous. How are you? I'm sorry about the way you're feeling. However, Tramadol is an analgesic, so it will not treat anxiety and yes, it could be dangerous to mix with your Methadone, it also tends to cause people to relapse into addiction. Wondering if these pills from india are safe? Please let me know what ingredients are in these pills. ## My first analysis of these pills was 85% cornstarch, 5.9% trazodone and 7.1% titanium dioxide. I'm a chemist and tested 1 from each blister pack. I tracked down where in India they were made and the company is real but has 1 or 2 labs to make these fake ones that the FDA doesn't check. Gotta remember that these narcotics are from the other side of the world and hope for the best. If they send you bad crap complain to the place you got them from and they will replace them. ...

It can cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, constipation and dry mouth. does trazodone show up in urine screenings

does trazodone show up in urine screenings? ## No i take the same medision it never showed up in my test it is not a narcotic ## Trazodone (such as PLIVA [PLIVA 434; 100mg]) Is not subjected to the controlled substances act. There are no urine tests that screen for it. Trazodone Hydrochloride is most commonly used to treat depression; sedation; fibromyalgia; insomnia; and anxiety. It belongs to the drug class phenylpiperazine; antidepressants. There is no type of urine screen that looks for this, unless it is specifically being tested for. So a 5-panel, 9-panel, 10-panel, 12-panel, etc. will not be looking for this or its metabolites in your urine. But, as always, you should consult your physician about any concerns you have regarding medication. If you are obtaining this drug via stree... ...
