Is Trazodone A Narcotic

I just read on Web md that the Fda Now considers trazadone a narcotic. Is this true? ## Hello, Mcky! How are you? No, Trazodone is an SARI class antidepressant. I take Trazodone, its not a narcotic but its like a Seroquel and it knocks you out. When i wake up in middle of the night to go to the restroom i have to lean my head on the wall very strong just like Seroquels. So its like a narcotic but beware don't take it every day cause it will have you sleepy if you miss a day of taking it. ## From what I could gather, Pliva 434 does indeed contain the active ingredient Trazodone (100 mg). I just wanted to know if Methodone and Trazodone are related, or are in the same family. ## No! Methadone is a narcotic/opiate, used to treat pain and drug addiction. Trazodone is an antidepressant. I believe your confusion was caused because the names are so similar at the end, but you were incorrectly spelling Methadone. Do you have any other questions?

I have fibromyalgia, endo, pelvic floor dysfunction, cysts forming around my spine, 36 fibroids removed, a hystorectomy but still have my ovaries. The fibro is in my lungs and also the endo. Wondering if these pills from india are safe? Please let me know what ingredients are in these pills. ## My first analysis of these pills was 85% cornstarch, 5.9% trazodone and 7.1% titanium dioxide. I'm a chemist and tested 1 from each blister pack. I tracked down where in India they were made and the company is real but has 1 or 2 labs to make these fake ones that the FDA doesn't check. Gotta remember that these narcotics are from the other side of the world and hope for the best. If they send you bad crap complain to the place you got them from and they will replace them.
