Can I still take Trazodone at night when I take Contrave? I have insomnia and can’t sleep without Trazodone. ## Combining the two medications can create a risk of your experiencing potentially dangerous seizures, because the Bupropion doesn't play nice with the Trazodone, and combining the Trazodone with the Naltrexone increasedsyour risk of experiencing liver damage. You can use this interaction checker, and others that are available to read more details. What has your doctor advised? You may need to take a very low dose of the Contrave, or try a different medication for insomnia.

I took Nefazodone for years and it worked well for me. After hearing it may be pulled from the market, I've tried many other antidepressents, with no success. I'm now back to an old one Trazodone @ 125 mg and even though it's about 3 weeks into it, I seem to be getting worse instead of better. I liked my Nefazodone (Serzone). I still have some from earlier. Would it hurt to take a small dosage of Nefazodone with the Trazodone? I'm feeling so bad, sad, and anxious that I'm wanting relief, soon. ## Generally, it is best not to mix them, unless your doctor specifically decides it is safe, or necessary for you to do so. They are in the same drug class, so taking them both, or taking too much of one, may result in Serotonin Syndrome, which can be very dangerous, and has t...

I am taking 10 mg of Percocet, 4 mg of Xanax and 50 mg of Trazodone and can’t sleep. Should I take 100 mg of Trazodone at night? Also, is Meloxicam used as a sleep aid? ## I am taking percoset, Xanax and trazadone thru the day. Is this ok ## Seems to be a potentially dangerous mixture but if your doctor is monitoring you then I guess it should be okay. I just wonder how you stay awake taking all of that!? ## Meloxicam is not used as a sleep aid, it is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, that is used to treat pain, fever, and swelling. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, headache, dizziness, stomach irritation, and increased risk of bleeding. It would be best not to change your dosage, without your doctor's approval. Can you post back with more de...

I'm taking Trazodone 10mg and was now prescribed cyclobenzaprine 5mg. Can these meds be taken simultaneously? ## Hello, Sandy! How are you? Were they both prescribed by the same doctor, so they are aware you are taking both? They both tend to increase sedation and both can also increase serotonin levels, which could be dangerous if they go too high, so they should only be taken together, if your doctor has specifically instructed you to do so. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, cry mouth and drowsiness.

I'm taking clonezapam (1 and a half) and 2 1/2 trazadone for sleep. Because I suffer from bursitis, I also take an Aleve. Will this harm my body? Thanks for your help ## Hello, Eileen! How are you? You shouldn't take the Trazodone with the Aleve, they increase the toxicity of each other, which could be dangerous. From what I can find, the only over the counter pain reliever you could take with it is Acetaminophen/Tylenol, so you may want to ask your doctor about taking it. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have these tramadols and im taking methodne I heard its really bad to mix but I have really bad anxiety and don't have insurance and this is the cheapest thing I can get just don't want to over do it I've heard many people say that they are just placebo's ## Hello, Vanessa! How are you? I'm sorry about the way you're feeling. However, Tramadol is an analgesic, so it will not treat anxiety and yes, it could be dangerous to mix with your Methadone, it also tends to cause people to relapse into addiction. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Someone mentioned to me that it was very dangerous, and lucky I have had not real issues? ## Hi Kay, My findings state that there are "potentially" unsafe interactions between these two drugs. Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of: "Using trazodone together with (bencoprim) cyclobenzaprine may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, and difficulty concentrating. Some people may also experience some impairment in thinking and judgment. You should avoid or limit the use of alcohol while being treated with these medications. found in my son's room. its broken in two shaped like a diamond 50/50/50 on back SL ## it is Trazodone Hydrochloride, it is clinically used as an anti-depressant. It will sedate him! If he does not have a prescription (hopefully you know if he did?) or clinical need: then he is most likely taking it to get high. It will sedate him and make him happy and relaxed. Tell him to knock it off, pharmaceuticals are professionally made drugs, they are the best and strongest around, therefore the most dangerous and addictive.
