I have been taking Meperidine 50 mg 381-b for years. Recently my pharmist switched to Meperidine 50 mg 4171-v and I do ot think it is as effective . He says it is exactly the same. Also, lately I found one of the "old" pills (381-b) and it was far more effective then the new ones.
