I have been on suboxone since 2008. 3 weeks ago I was switched to Zubsolve bc my ins stopped paying for the subs. Anyway the Zubs are awful. I've been sick for 3 weeks and am having to take 3x the dose I'm suppose to be taking. I'm going to the doc today to get back on the suboxone, yet I still have the ins problem. Has anyone been on both Suboxone and Subutex to compare the 2. Subutex would be a lot cheaper if it actually works. I don't want to buy another script that doesn't work. Zubsolv was suppose to be the same as suboxone, even better. It is a nightmare for me. It does not work at all like the suboxone. Anyone??? Thanks ## Was on buprenorphine for 3 years and My ins did the same thing.. I was on zubsolv for week and had the worst headache, felt awful.. Decided...

This is simple. I've been on suboxone for five years. I'm clean. I took opiates for thirty years. Methadone was the kinky way out and frankly doesn't work for the same reason subutex rarely works. You can still take opiates on top of both. Suboxone has a blocker. It is easy knowing you can't feel high. I still go to therapy and meetings. Beats being deaf. Good luck. ## Hello, Anfy! How are you? Actually, Subutex can still block other opiates from working, so many people do have good luck with it. It contains the active ingredient Buprenorphine, which tends to cling to the opiate receptors in the brain much stronger than most other opiates, so it can also cause precipitated withdrawal, if someone has been taking any recently. The FDA classifies it as an opiate that is mos...

I love subutex but can't get is this a popular drug like suboxton ## Hello, Kat! How are you? While both are commonly used to treat drug addiction, Subutex only contains the opiate Buprenorphine. However, Suboxone couples Buprenorphine with Naloxone, to neutralize other narcotics and help prevent their abuse, while someone is being treated with it. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Suboxone is the preferred drug for treatment, unless someone is pregnant, or allergic to the Naloxone. Is there anything else I can help with?

I ran out of subutex last night - can I take suboxone today? ## Hi Ash, Based on my research, there are no drug interactions listed between Subutex and Suboxone. So with that being said, I wouldn't anticipate having any problems when switching between one or the other. Also, because Subutex contains the same active ingredient "Buprenorphine", taking the two meds together or within a short a time frame of one another would also be similar to just having an higher dose of Suboxone. Is your doctor also aware that you're taking both medications? ## Have only four 8 strips Suboxone to last until January 21st! I currently take 12 mgs day. Reason Im short? They were stolen and I can't turn the person in as he is family. I have no concrete proof. anyway, I've be on this ...

is this possible or is it all mental? I know someone who is on suboxone but prefers the subutex (white ones). He says that when he stops using them even suboxone doesn't help and that he feels sick. Is it in his head? ## The main narcotic in both of them is the same, it's Buprenorphine. The only difference is that Suboxone also contains Naloxone. Learn more Suboxone details here. So, it really doesn't make sense, but there's no way to be sure how any given medication is going to affect any given person that takes it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## no, must be in your head, unless you cant hand...

Been on Suboxone for about 2 years and I was wondering what Suboxone doctors take insurance for the visit in the state of Ohio? My doctor does 'Peoples Insurance'. If anybody can help me find a better Suboxone dr. or Subutex doc I'd greatly appreciate it, and I do have insurance. ## I need a doctor or Subutex doctor. I've been on that medicine for like 10 years and I have insurance. ## Hi pls anyone help point me in rt direction, I've been on opioids for 13 yrs and I desperately need to find a Subutex Dr in or around Nashville, Tn that takes Blue Care Ive called almost 100 Drs in 2wks and only 1 took Blue Care but wdnt take me as a patient because they are located in McKenzie Tn. To the people that are prescribed the Subutex and were asking the chat board questions about: If you are not a pregnant or breastfeeding woman as of July 1st 2015 then you will be prescribed Suboxone or something else but never just plain Buprenorphine. As far as the orange Halfmoon generic Subutex, you take them the same way that you would take any other kind of subutex / suboxone; they are sublingual. ## What state are you referring to in the above comment? I'm a receptionist at a recovery clinic in PA we have not discontinued prescribing subutex. I have faxed or called in a total of 37 prescriptions this week alone. I think people come on the internet asking about different brands of drugs (not just buprenorphine) to see how other patients have reacted to the brand. Pharmacists c...

Has anyone gotten the white w22 generic suboxone tablet? What is your opinion on them? This is the first time I got them and they are awful. They don't work the same and make you extremely tired. Also the taste of them is like you have artificial sweetener under your tongue. Very nasty. Never want them again. What does everyone else think? ## I love they're the only ones that I like. I love that they don't have the nasty over powering orange taste. But can I ask a question? What pharmacy did you get them from cuz I'm moving and need to know where to get them! ## I hate the w22 when I take them I feel like they don't work at all. I've been on duotone or subutex for about 12 years and this is by a landslide the absolutely worse one that I've tried. And I have p...

hi i'm a 29 yr old male with chron's disease and a very high tolerance to pain relief and i was just wondering if subutex/suboxone was better than the methadone for pain management i have been on 20mg of oxys twice a day for about 6 months and they only work when i double dose or boot em up and now the doctors are talkin about putting me on the beup or methadone program and i'm not sure which one has more merit if ya know what i mean lol ## The Buprenorphine in the Suboxone is stronger and doesn't have the same addictive tendencies that the Methadone does. People who no longer need it for pain, or addiction treatment, often have better luck tapering off and becoming medication free, as compared to Methadone, where they often require a lifetime maintenance dose. The withd...

Can you get help paying for Subutex prescriptions? Are there any discount coupons out there? ## Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find an assistance program for Subutex, only one for Suboxone. I am not sure if it will help with Suboxone, but you can check into it. Does anyone else have any ideas? ## Im in the same boat you say your taking subutex?? I just got switched from subutex to suboxone the teva white round ones that day 93 on One side and 5721 on the other side. Has anyone ever been on these and how well do they work and could u just let me know how that did for u. I'm kinda nervous about switching. . ## Hello! I just got thest from my pharmacy as well and the side effects were really bad for me. I don't even think that they are real. Let me ask you this, if you take three or four of the pills and look at one side of each, looking at the 93 side left to right, and then when you flip the pill over to the left does the 5721 read at a totally different angle (the the 5721 is not imprinted in the exact same location as the 93?) do this with a few of the pills . I am curious to see if the imprints are straight across rea...

I went to see my doctor this week and he told me that the FDA and the DEA had passed a new law for prescribing Subutex. As of July 1st 2015 Subutex can only be given to pregnant woman or to someone with documentation saying they can't take Suboxone. If you don't have that you will be put on Suboxone. ## They Are Both the same thing. Better yet, stop doing narcotics, get off opiates completely. Do you focus on school and work as much as you do opiates being controlled By the DEA??? ## Jim, not that it's any of your business, but yes I do focus on my career now that I'm off the opiates and taking subutex. I received my B.S. in molecular biology and am currently completely my 2nd year of medical school. So now that you know a little about me, what about you? Since I'm s...

I recently started taking subutex or same thing suboxone. When I take my dose 8mg and try to go to sleep i have very strange dreams. The thing is, is I can't tell if I am really asleep when this is happening. Because it happens as soon as I lay down and try to go to sleep almost like I am halucinating. I was just wondering if anyone else had these experinces or if anyone else knew if this was a normal side effect. ## yes, don't worry it will go away after a while you must have just started taking it it happened to me and scared the poo out of me it was more of a startling thing for me just don't take it before you go to sleep if ypu are noding off the it is normal at first but you will a just iam thinking you are just starting the med's?If not its ok it happens from time ...

Why would someone take suboxone and subutex at the same time. Are they not basically treating the same condition? ## Yes, the only difference is that the Suboxone contains Naloxone, to neutralize other narcotics that someone may try to take at the same time. However, the narcotic in both is Buprenorphine, which is used to treat drug addiction and severe cases of pain that is resistant to other medications. Have they both been prescribed to someone?

I have an 8mg subutex.ive been on suboxone for ten months and now im out of meds. Will this subutex replace the suboxone as the same,or is it different. ## The difference between the two is that the Suboxone contains Buprenorphine and Naloxone, the latter is used to neutralize other opiates and prevent their abuse, while someone is under treatment with it. The Subutex, however, only contains the narcotic Buprenorphine. Have you talked to your doctor for assistance?

I am really having a hard time finding a doctor who treats with Subutex and not Suboxone. I have chronic pain syndrome and relief-seeking behavior soon became drug-seeking behavior. My psychiatrist put me on Subutex, and my pain was reduced a little, but I wasn't so much into drug seeking anymore. I was treated for 5 years. Then I moved, and I can't find anyone in Ohio who does this. I might have to move back to Chicago! Any suggestions? ## What is your particular issue with using Suboxone, rather than Subutex? They both contain the exact same narcotic to treat pain and/or addiction, Buprenorphine. The only difference is that the Suboxone also contains Naloxone, to help prevent someone from abusing other narcotics, while they are using it. If you are no longer having a problem w...

I am currently on Suboxon and have been for over a year now. It is getting too expensive for me. My doctor told me she could put me on Subutex. Other than the opiate blocker, what is the difference? How different will it make me feel? Will I go through any withdrawls from Suboxone? Does Subutex still give you that "feel good feeling"? ## There really shouldn't be any other difference, as long as she gives you an equivalent dosage, because the main active ingredient is still the same, Buprenorphine. Learn more Buprenorphine details here. In most cases, people can do a clean and easy switch from one to the other. When will you be switching?

I was in original trials for suboxone. Had been taking about 10-12 hydros/day, was put 1st on 12mg subox, then same on subutex for 11 yrs - no relapse. Now tho, trying to get off those. Had 20 8mg tabs Dec 1, but can't seem to get under 2 mg/day w/o RLS - along w/ insomnia, my worst fears (tried cold turkey once. And I'd even gotten off hydros in about 3 days cold, but I'm a lot older now). I now have only 9 left.If return to treatment (day rx), will give 2mg daily, but charge $15/day $450/mo. Can I make it tapering w/o withdrawal? I hate the MD who assured me that I shd take as if they were diabetes meds - forever! Can anyone offer help, info?

Not being able to afford a Dr.-a friend of mine sometimes gives me acouple of her subutex.(like suboxone). They come in a pack where you have to punch out each square..like gum. They are square, and see-through purple. The only markings are a line going down, and a line going across.Like this +, so you have 4 little squares. But today when she gave me some, they looked the same, except there was only ONE line down the middle.I don't know why.Is anyone familiar with this drug-and seen them with just the one line down the middle? I cant find an image of subutex wax squares anywhere on-line so far. Thank you. ## Are you sure they are Subutex? It isn't even listed as being available in this type of formulation in the U.S. It is actually only available as an injection, tablets and film shee...
