I went to see my doctor this week and he told me that the FDA and the DEA had passed a new law for prescribing Subutex. As of July 1st 2015 Subutex can only be given to pregnant woman or to someone with documentation saying they can't take Suboxone. If you don't have that you will be put on Suboxone. ## They Are Both the same thing. Better yet, stop doing narcotics, get off opiates completely. Need help paying for subutex ## Hello, Tammy! How are you? I'm sorry, but I have not been able to find a current assistance program for Subutex. This is fairly normal, since generics are available now, which by their very nature are cheaper. One idea to try to save money on your prescription would be to ask your pharmacy if they accept any discount cards. Most of them are free to enroll in, you just sign up on the relevant website and then print the card. Does anyone else have any ideas? Will you insurance cover it? I woke up in WD and took a Subutex immideately. After about 45mins I still didn't feel too well, so I took another and feel much better now. Is this okay? I really wanna stop using opiates but i find that unless i am under the influence of them i have no ambition to work. I am done getting high and wanna clean my life up.I been taking subutex and find that its making me depressed. I had a knee surgery yesterday. I have been using subutex to help me taper narcotics. I stopped the subutex 2 weeks before surgery. My doctor prescribed both percocet and oxycontin. I am getting no pain relief. The iv Dilaudid worked in the hospital. Can u fill a subutex script from one doctor and then fill an oxycodone script from another doctor? They are different medications and different schedules the subutex is schedule III. and the oxy is schedule II. I am receiving a subutex script from my doctor once a month and then my other doctor gives me oxycodone when I have surgery .
