Is Roxicodone Stronger Than Percocet

I have been prescribed 30 mg roxicodone. Changed from Percocet. Seems to be working today. (First day) do they last all day. My pain was gone in 30 minutes. Wondering about tolerance. Took 10 mg Percocet 4 × day for a year. I have fluid on my brain and back problems ## How many times a day has your doctor instructed you to take it? The base narcotic in both are the same, it's Oxycodone, so equivalency is going to depend on how often you are taking it. Usually, according to NIH reports, Roxicodone is taken 3 to 4 times a day. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.

Is this meds stronger then perks ?the generic kind? ## Hi yvette, The pill you're describing marked "223" reportedly contains 5mgs of Oxycodone hydrochloride. But by comparison, Percocet is known to come in dosages containing up to 10mg of Oxycodone hydrochloride + 325mg of Acetaminophen. And even though some manufacturers tend to vary by strength, I would say that it all depends on what dosage of Percocet you get, since it is available in 2.5mg/325mg dosages as well. i currently take percocet 5s twice a day if my doc ups me to roxycodone will it help me n is it the same drug only stronger ## Percocet and Roxicodone are different drugs, in that Percocet contains Acetaminophen + Oxycodone, while Roxicodone only contains Oxycodone (but generally at a higher dosage than Percocet). In that regard, comparing the strength really depends on how high of a dose your doctor prescribes you for the Roxicodone. can you tell me the equivalent or difference in percocet 10/325 to roxicodone 10/325? ## There is no such thing as a Roxicodone 10/325, Roxicodone is just a brand name for an instant release of Oxycodone, but it does not have Acetaminophen in it like the Percocet does. ## I have pills engrave with 512 number, but sometimes they sim stronger than percocet 5mg Culd they be 10 mg? ## no the 512 is a 5mg perc. it is generic so that may make you feel a lilttle different then whatever else you were taking before... ## I took myself off 15mg of Oxycontin. Percocet and Lortab also contain Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic pain reliever. Can someone please help me find out where I can find Roxycotins? I have called all around and pharmacies don't carry them. Is it a disclosed pharmacy I don't know about or what? Anyone with any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank You. ## do you mean roxicodone which is basically a strong percocet with no tylenol and is quick-release. or are you talking about oxycontin which im not sure but i think they are stronger than roxicodone but are extended release and should last you throughout the day. ## Roxicodone is a name brand for regular release Oxycodone. Oxycontin would be the time released version of Oxycodone. Same drug, just different formulations. I ran into the same problem since we have moved to Maryland, most pharmacies here do not carry any Schedule III meds!...

I am prescribed roxicodone 30mg, 4 a day. I have been suffering from chronic neck and back pain for the past 12 yrs. The pain medication works really well, but I guess my body has got immune to it and they dont seem to last as long. He doesnt want to increase the amount but they do not last the whole month. I have been obtaining a few percocets to get me through. My question is, when they drug test me to make sure I'm taking my meds, will the percocet show up the same as the roxy or should I quit taking it? I cant afford to lose my script but I also need to get out of bed and get things done. Any help would be appreciated, thanx ## Percocet is the same thing as a roxicodone...
