is percocet stronger than hydrocodone
I take Lortab 10's, Fentanyl 100mg patch every 3 days and Ibuprofen. I stay in constant pain and wanted to know what I could switch to that would be stronger and help with my constant pain. I've been on all 3 medicines and alot of other medicine (not pain medicine) for over 3yrs. ## Yes, it only takes 6.67mgs of Oxycodone to equal each 10mgs of Hydrocodone, so the Percocet would be stronger. Learn more Percocet details here. Oxycodone is also available by itself, without the Acetaminophen, in a regular release formulation, so you also may want to ask your doctor about that. It is another narcotic opiate, so it also has the potential to be habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can he... ...

Which Is Stronger A 10 325 Hydrocodone Or Percoset
Well my dr has me takin 10/325 hydrocodone but is switchin me to percoset jus wanted opinion on what was stronger ## The Oxycodone in the Percocet is stronger than the Hydrocodone in the Vicodin, and otherwise they both also contain Acetaminophen to enhance its effectiveness. 10mgs of Hydrocodone is equivalent to 6.67mgs of Oxycodone, so you will probably get better pain relief from the Percocet. Since it is also a narcotic, the side effects will be similar to what you are used to, nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have been hurting for three months. My primary docotor gave me hydrocodone/acetaminophen 10-650 which has reduced the pain but not takin it away. I was in the ER and they placed me on morophine for 16 hours, I felt no... ...

Which Is Stronger Hydrocodone 10 325 Or Oxycodone 5 325
I have been taking Hydrocodone 10/325 for chronic pain, 1 pill every 6 hours. My Dr. just prescribed Oxycodone 5/325 with up to 2 pills every 6 hours. Which is stronger? ## The oxy is stronger but who knows your body may b used 2 the vicoden. But if he is allowing u 2 take 2 @ a time it would b better if he would just give u the percocet 10/325 as it would b as effective with 1/2 the amount of aspirin. Try it out n post your feedback. ## Scott is correct, the Oxycodone is actually stronger than the Hydrocodone. To equal 10mgs of the Hydrocodone, you only need 6.67mgs of the Oxycodone, so I'd advise caution when you first take them, you probably shouldn't take 2 of them, until you try one and see how well it works for you. Are there any questions or comments? ## Thank you for the... ...

Which Is Stronger Hydrocodone 7.5 500 Or Oxycodone Acetaminophen 5-325
which is stronger hydrocodone 7.5/500mg oxycodone-acetaminophen 5-325 ## About the same as oxycodone is about 1.5 times stronger than hydrocodone. ## Regarding the analgesic effect, using a dose conversion, they are actually equivalent. Thus, it would really be a matter of finding out which one is more effective for you, since not every medication works for everyone that tries it. Since these are both narcotics, there is a chance that they could be habit forming and you may experience side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and constipation. Which has been recommended for you? You can learn more Lortab details here. You can learn more Percocet details here. ...

which is stronger hydrocodone or oxycodone 5 325 which makes you more tired?
my doctor switched me to Oxycod/apap 5-325 from Hydroco/apap 5-325. Which one makes you tired? ## Hello, CK! How are you? The Oxycodone is stronger, you only need 3.33mgs of it to be equivalent to each 5mgs of the Hydrocodone. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more Percocet details here. As to which makes you more tired, I can't really answer that. Side effects are individualized, so it will really depend on you and how you react to any given medication. Is there anything else I can help with? ## So if I've been taking 15 mg of percocet I would need 25 mg of vicodin to get the same relief? ...

is there a 15 mg hydrocodone pill
i take norco 10/325 and wonder is there a stronger hydrocodone pill such as 15/325 ## No, the maximum amount currently available on the market is 10mgs of Hydrocodone. The only way to get a higher dosage than that is if your doctor specially orders it and it is put together for you by a compounding pharmacy. Hydrocodone is a potent narcotic and is rarely given in higher doses. Usually, when someone isn't getting the pain relief they need from it, they move on to something else, such as Percocet, which contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone. It is still a narcotic and can cause side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Learn more: Are there any other questions or comments? ## Try not to go up to percet. I went to percet 10/325 from norco 10/325. They take over... ...

Why does oxycodone come in higher doses than hydrocodone?
I'm trying to manage pain for degenerative stenosis and see that hydrocodone is usually in 5 or 10 mg pills, while oxy, which is supposedly 2+ times stronger, is in 20 , 30 or 40 mg pills. What am I missing here? ## Originally, since it has the Acetaminophen added, the Hydrocodone products, such as Vicodin, Lortab and etc. were meant to be only for short-term use. Just to treat pain that was expected to resolve in a week or two, such as what someone may experience after they've had surgery or been in an accident. Currently, the government is trying to transition it back to being used this way, by restricting how much doctors can prescribe and for how long, though they haven't completely managed to do so, yet. (This would be the same as the original intent for Percocet, which... ...

percocet vs norco
I'm taking percocet 10/650mg.I have (DDD),(Athritis)and the list goes on.I have a friend on Norco. Can you tell me what the difference is between them and the highest mg.the norco comes in.THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!! ## The Percocet is way better then the Norco bro, and the reason is because Percocet is Oxycodone and Norco is Hydrocodone. what im trying to say is Oxycodone is a stronger and longer lasting Opiate then Norco. i mean it does not matter if u take them both either at the same time, just make sure to watch how much Tylenol/Acetaminophen ur taking, try not to take more 4000 to 5000mgs cause it can damage ur liver. The best Percocet you can get is 10-650 and 10-325 The best Norco you can get is 10-325 or Lorcets which are 10-650 . Hope this helped in anyway at all and fell free ... ...

A step up from 10-325 mg hydrocodone
What is the next step up from hydrocodone 10-325.? I take 3 a day and it seems to not be working as we'll anymore. I've taken it for about 2 years now ## Hello, Sammie! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. The next step up would most likely be Percocet in the 10/325 dosage, since the Oxycodone is stronger than Hydrocodone. Only your doctor can really decide where you should go from here, I'm just letting you know of other options. You could also go for something that doesn't contain Acetaminophen, such as Oxycodone by itself, or Dilaudid. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I guess that's it. I always have a hard time when I let my doc know the current medication.. Hydrocodone 10-325 is not working like it did at one time. ... ...

Percocet Vs Lortab
What is the difference in percocet 10/325 and lortab 10/500, I know the amount of tylenol is different, but I've taken both and the lortab seem to work better than the percocet. Is one stronger than the other? ## Lortab contains Acetaminophen, coupled with the narcotic Hydrocodone. Percocet contains Acetaminophen, coupled with the narcotic Oxycodone. So, it might just be that the Hydrocodone works better for you. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

Lorcet Vs Percocet
What is the medication with these markings IP204? ## This tablet contains 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, this combination could be considered a generic for either one, though many doctors refer to Lorcet as being the product that contains 650mgs of the Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic pain reliever, so it may cause side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more: Is there anything else I can help with? ## My apologies, it's been one of those mornings. Lorcet would actually contain Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, so the tablet you were asking about would be a generic for Percocet, because it contains Oxycodone and Acetaminophen. ## which is considered a stronger medication overall, Lorecet or Norco? I realize that dosages make a diffe... ...

what is the difference between oxycodone and hydrocodone
my Dr has changed my medication fron norco to percocet, and now my feet and ankles are swelling severely. What is the difference between hydrocodone and oxycodone? ## They are both narcotic analgesics, however, the Oxycodone is stronger than they Hydrocodone. Oxycodone, by itself, doesn't usually cause peripheral edema, however, it could be the Acetaminophen, since it can sometimes cause people to retain fluids and, if that is what is causing it, it would have also happened with the Norco. Have you consulted your doctor? Whenever edema occurs, it is very important to discover what is causing it, since it can be a sign of other serious medical conditions. Even swelling of the feet and legs can be a sign of congestive heart failure. ## This isn't listed as a common side effect in ... ...

oxycodone acetaminophen 10 325 mg /hydrocodone 10-325
I was taking hydrocodon 10-325 and now my dr switched me to Percocet 10-325 and when I take it it puts me to sleep for hours and keeps me drowsy all day is this what it is suppose to do when my other hydrocodone didn't do this to me I was able to stay active and alert and do my daily duties. ## Hello, Ricky! How are you? The Oxycodone in the Percocet is actually stronger than the Hydrocodone, so what you're taking now is more potent, which is likely why it's making you drowsy. How long have you been taking it? It should improve after about 4 weeks or so, once your body adjusts to the medication. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. ...

what is difference between percocet and oxycodone
My doc has been prescribing me percocet 10 mg. And now he prescribed me oxycodone 5mg. Which is stronger? The percocet 10's i have been taking for almost 2 years and i told him that they wasn't working that's when he prescribed me the oxycodone 5'mg. And they aren't working either. I am taking pain medication for surgery's . Since the oxycodone 5'mg aren't working what should i ask for. Now hydrocodone doesn't agree with me. It makes me sick.and i would prefer to stick with oxycodone. What should i ask for ? ## Percocet is actually a combination medication that contains Oxycodone and Acetaminophen, because the Acetaminophen helps increase the efficacy of the Oxycodone. So, if you were taking it, there should have been two dosages listed, such a 10/325... ...

norco 10/375 vs. percocet pain 10/375
How much stronger is the percocet than the norco? ## Hello, April! How are you? For each 10mgs of Hydrocodone in the Norco, you only need 6.67mgs of the Oxycodone in the Percocet. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. yellow watson 820, yellow watson 843
is the watson 820 4.5/0.38/325mg stronger than the watson 843 10mg hydrocodone 325mg?????? ## Hello, I was able to identify the yellow pill with the WATSON 820 imprint as aspirin (325 mg) + Oxycodone hydrochloride (4.5 mg) + oxycodone terephthalate (0.38 mg). However, I haven't been able to find a match for the other pill you are describing (yellow Watson 843). Are you saying the dosages for the Watson 843 pill are (325 mg) of acetaminophen and (10 mg) of Hydrocodone? I've read that Oxycodone is generally 1.5 times more more potent than Hydrocodone, however it will really depend on the person taking it. From what I've read, some people find Percocets (Oxycodone + Acetaminophen) to be stronger than Vicodin (Hydrocodone + Acetaminophen) - and vice versa- so who's to say ho... ...

dosage difference
I usually take hydrocodone 7.5/325 and have for 2 1/2 years but am running low is it safe for me to take oxycodone 5/325 in its place. It would be the first time I have taken oxycodone so I was unsure of just how much stronger it is than the other. ## Need answers please. ## I will be having to take them in the next few days ## Hello! How are you? Well, the caveat I must give is not to switch what you're taking, without your doctor's approval. But yes, running it through the opiate dosage converter, 7.5mgs of Hydrocodone is equivalent to 5mgs of Oxycodone. Learn more Percocet details here. yellow oval v/36 01
yellow oval pill v/36 01 ## This contains Acetaminophen 325mgs and Hydrocodone 10mgs, it is a generic for Norco. This is a narcotic pain reliever, very strong and addictive. ## I wouldn't say they are "very strong", they are strong if you're not used to narcotic pain relievers, much stronger than a darvocet, tylenol 3, or even a plain vicodin 5/500, but weak compared to pain relievers such as percocet, roxycodone, morphine, dilaudid, demerol, oxycontin, fentanyl, and the many other stronger painkillers on the market. I HIGHLY agree that they're very addictive though. I struggled with addiction to vicodin and norco, so I know how addictive they are. ## in trouble need 5 10mg vicodin to feel ok a day ...

dosage and equivallancy
I recently, had my med changed from vicodin 7.5mg 5xqd to lortab 10-500mg tablet. 5xqd question is, "Is the lortab a higher dose of medication than the vicodin. ## Lortab and Vicodin both contain Hydrocodone, a synthetic opiate or opioid, as their narcotic analgesic. As such, your dosage strength increase is only in the amount of pills you are now taking, not in the opioid ingredient. Oxycodone, used in Percocets and OxyContin, is slightly stronger . . . a 5/325 Perc is equivalent to a 7.5 Lortab. I am not gonna go into the added NSAIDs like THVQEDylenol, ASAP, or aspirin on this question. The best of luck and the least of pain to you . . . Q ## Vicodin and Lortab both contain Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone, so you were taking 7.5mgs of the Hydrocodone and your dosage has been raised... ...
