Today I took a generic suboxine tablet under they'd give to get me by until I could fill my Percocet script. I have never taken one before. How long do I need to wait to take one of my pain Meds as I do NOT want to waste them Since I realize suboxine is an opiate blocker? Anything will help :-) ## Hello, LaylaLou! How are you? Unless your doctor instructs otherwise, it's usually about 72 hours. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Just took a perk 10 3 hours ago and took a 4th of a methadone 10mg 5 mins ago will I be ok? ## Have both of these mediations been prescribed for you? Those aren't terribly high doses, but could be dangerous for someone that isn't opiate tolerant, due to the sedation and depression of the central nervous system that they may cause. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

I take Lortab 10's, Fentanyl 100mg patch every 3 days and Ibuprofen. I stay in constant pain and wanted to know what I could switch to that would be stronger and help with my constant pain. I've been on all 3 medicines and alot of other medicine (not pain medicine) for over 3yrs. ## Yes, it only takes 6.67mgs of Oxycodone to equal each 10mgs of Hydrocodone, so the Percocet would be stronger. Learn more Percocet details here. Oxycodone is also available by itself, without the Acetaminophen, in a regular release formulation, so you also may want to ask your doctor about that. It is another narcotic opiate, so it also has the potential to be habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. pink with a 5114 and a v on it ## 5114 V is Acetaminophen 650 mg + Propoxyphene 100 mg a generic Darvocet ## Abe is correct, this was a very mild opiate narcotic that was discontinued several years ago, by the FDA, due to the cardiac dangers it caused, some of which were fatal, as well as the many overdoses it caused. They also warned it carried the risk of being habit forming. Thus, this is an old tablet, that is no longer available in the U.S. Are there any questions?

I'm taking percocet 10/650mg. I have (DDD), (Athritis), and the list goes on. I have a friend on Norco. Can you tell me what the difference is between them and the highest mg the norco comes in? THANK YOU SO MUCH! ## The Percocet is way better then the Norco, and the reason is because Percocet contains Oxycodone and Norco contains Hydrocodone. What im trying to say is Oxycodone is a stronger and longer lasting Opiate then Norco. {Edited for safety} just make sure to watch how much Tylenol/Acetaminophen ur taking, try not to take more 4000 to 5000mgs cause it can damage ur liver. The best Percocet you can get is 10-650 and 10-325 The best Norco you can get is 10-325 or Lorcets which are 10-650 . Hope this helped in anyway at all and fell free to ask me any questions u have about Pers...

Does Percocet come with a R 599 imprint on it? ## What color is percoset r559? ## THIS IS NOT PERCOCET! This is actually not ANY type of naroctic or opiate. Here's an image: Pill Image Click Here All prescription drugs sold legally in the US must have unique identifying markings so they can be id'ed in case of emergency, so this ths will be the only pill with that exact marking on it, so there are NO Percocet tablets made with the R 599 on it, sorry. This pill IS Etodolac 400mgs, a generic for Lodine XL. This is nothing more than a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory.

I'm seeing "none" and "never". But tell me the truth. With 2.5 mg Percocet every eight hours, is a glass of wine dangerous? Is it dangerous to drive? What about if I was taking it every 12 hours? I am almost ten weeks post op on a pretty major back surgery (fused two discs, I've got quite an apparatus back there). ## Yes, it is always risky, and they should not be combined. Alcohol and opiates both depress the central nervous system, that's why they can cause a high/buzzed feeling, as well as drowsiness, dizziness, and sedation, as side effects, and when you combine more than one of these substances, this can potentiate these side effects, making them much more severe than usual. Thus, you could end up dozing off inappropriately, blacking out, experience seve...

Can anyone tell me what to look forward to when I go to management for the first time. I have advanced osteoporosis with frequent fractures and now my spine is compromised. I've been on norco,10 mg for 7 years and recently was changed to perco cent 10 mgs but I cannot tolerate then. What is a good med to replace it. I refuse to have spinal shots. ## What types of issues did you experience with the Percocet? The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. There is a form of Hydrocodone, which is the active opiate in Norco that is available in a time released formulation. The name brand is Zohydro, so if it worked well for you, you may want to ask your new doctor about trying it.

I have been taking Zubsolv 5.7-1.4MG twice a day for 3 years now. I'm about to have surgery and will be prescribed 10mg Percocets. How long do I need to wait for the Zubsolv to get out of my system before I can take the Percocets? I've read it only takes 24 to 48 hours for the Zubsolv to be out of my system but is that still true for someone who has been taking it twice a day for 3 years? ## Usually, it's about 72 hours, before other opiates will work for you, again. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I have taken 10/325 MD 523 generic for years. I took IP 204 for a month with noticeable side effects; swollwen feet and less bowel movement, even with daily miralax. My question....DOES IP 204 CAUSE BULDGING FEET THEN MD 523??????????? Thank you for any comments. ## Did you mean the tablet with the M523 10/325 marking? Because there isn't one with an MD on it. The constipation can be a side effect of any narcotic opiate and though it isn't common, Percocet can cause fluid retention in some people, as well. There can be slight fluctuations from one generic to another, so taking a different one may have caused the problem, but you should really have it checked out by your doctor to be safe. If I have been taking Percocet and they gave me Tramacet. Will Tramacet be as effective as Percocet? ## It really depends on you, the only way to see how well it works for you is by trying it. However, the Tramadol is the Tramacet is a much weaker opiate, so it may not help you. The FDA classifies this medication as an opioid, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## It is by far not as effective. It is a much weaker pain pill .

Hi. I'd like information comparing Percocet (Oxycodone / Acetaminophen) and Tramacet (Tramadol hydrochloride / Acetaminophen). Is Percocet a stronger more powerful pain killer than Tramacet? If so, by how much? If you have been taking Percocet are you likely to get the same effect from Tramacet? Is there a chart somewhere that compares or ranks all pain killers comparatively? If so please tell me where. Thanks - good health to you all ## The Tramadol is not actually a narcotic, it is derived from an opiated, but it is not actually one, so it is therefore nowhere near as strong as the Percocet, which contains a strong narcotic Oxycodone. ## She asked about Tramacet not Tramadol. Tramacet is an opiate as is Percocet. As for the chart listing different opiates and their strengths, I wo...

OK, I've taken 1/4 of a 2/8mg suboxone for about 7 days, but I only would take that dose once a day. Now today is my first day not taking suboxone. It's been a full 24 hours. Can I take my pain meds (percocet 10mg) and feel it and not get sick? ## @lady luv, Based on the vast majority of feedback I've seen in other related threads here, the usual wait time is 2-5 days in-between taking Suboxone then opiates (like the Oxycodone; in Percocet). However, because everyone's case is different, these figures are only intended to be a rough estimate. And if I were in your shoes, I'd probably only feel the need to wait another day or two just to be sure that your receptors are clear. Others may suggest less time from their experience, since you've only been taking a small...

They both are PERCOCET they both are 10/325 I'm just wondering if it's just the company or if there is actually a difference in them ## Hydrocodone is not percocet. It is Lorcet. Oxycodone is percocet ## To clarify, Norco, Lorcet, Vicodin, and Lortab contain Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen, while Percocet contains Oxycodone and Acetaminophen, which I believe is what Teerose was trying to convey. They are both opiate narcotics...

I need to know what the difference is between percocet and oxycottin? ## percocate is cut with asprin. oxycottin is not cut with anything. ## I am on Percocet and Oxycontin.. The difference is, Percocet is short acting drug with tylenol, Oxycontin is much stronger and is a time releasing drug with semi-synthetic opiate derived from an element of morphine. ## Percocet is not cut with aspirin...it is cut with tylenol ## Oxicottin is an opiate oxicodonen and hydrocodon are synthetic base with either a spring or Tylenol like. 5/325 5 grams of the narcotic / 325 of the asprin. Lora tab 10mg/750 10 narcotic / over 750 tylenol. Vicodon. 5 narcotic / either 500 or 750 tylenol. Norco is 5 narcotic / 325 tylenol or actiminphine. That is the generic name for tylenol. So the cotins. And codonen. Ar...

I have some questions about percocet is 10 milligrams a strong dose does that mean a thousand what color are they and what should it say on the pill ## Hello, Julie! How are you? I'm sorry, but I'm not sure I completely understand all of your post. Does what mean a thousand? Can you please clarify? As to the color and markings, there are quite a few generics available, so that will depend on which manufacturer made the tablets. 10mgs is fairly potent, especially if you're not opiate tolerant. Percocet contains both Oxycodone and Acetaminophen. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## How long does it take for percoce...

Is the ip 304 pill generic of percocet, or can it be used for opiate withdrawal? ## Hello, William! How are you? An oval, orange tablet with the marking IP 304 is manufactured by Amneal Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 75mgs of Velafaxine. The FDA classifies this medication as being an SNRI antidepressant. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings and weight changes. However, if you mean the oblong, white tablet with the marking IP 204, that is listed by them as being a generic for Percocet, which contains 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation...

How does diclofenac sodium enteric-coated (ec) 75mg tab compare to a percocet 5/325? Does it work the same and is it a narcotic / opiate? ## No, Diclofenac is actually classified as a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, it is used to treat pain, fever, and swelling. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation. So it also does not work the same. Has your doctor prescribed it for you? ## I need to know if Diclofenac Sodium Er 75 mg has Morphine in it? ## Hi Shaw - actually no, Diclofenac is its own drug completely different from Morphine. It is not even an opiate medication. Hope this helps!

I have been on percocet and percocet er. My doctor put me on wellbutrin for depression. Do these mix well together? Could some of the depression come from being on opiates for so long? ## Yes, opiates actually work as a depressant, according to NIH reports. Other side effects may including dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. However, there is no Percocet ER. What exactly where you taking? Was it Oxycontin? Can you please post back and clarify?
