What is the difference between the oxycodone I.r 224/ & the a215 the 224 is much bigger& the a215 is smaller & seems too work faster & better is there a difference please help me. ## Hello, Michel! How are you? They have been manufactured by different companies, which is very common with generic medications. As to the size difference, that is dependent upon which inactive ingredients they chose to use, since there is a variety that they can choose from, as long as they are on the list approved by the FDA to be used in a medication. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Has anybody heard of M 30 oxycodone being reformulated? My mother has been on oxycodone for quite a while now and recently had an rx filled and had a few M's that almost instantly swell up and turn into mush when she takes them. They are the same diameter as the other M's but alot thicker and from what she says, they aren't as effective as the thinner M's. Any info would help, thanks. ## Hello, JOTO! How is your mother doing? No, I've not heard of such a thing. Were they identical in color, too? Were there any other noticeable differences? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## The only noticable difference was the clarity of the imprin...

I've been taking oxycodone 10 mg for the last five months. Today is my first day without. How long will it take to get it out of my body. ## It takes about a week for the withdrawals to go away. If you have gabapentin, double up on that, it will take away nearly all of your withdrawals away. ## @Debbie (thread starter), According to nih.gov, Oxycodone's elimination half life ranges from 3-4 hours in its immediate release form. Given this information, you can do some math to get a general idea of how long it might take to be completely excreted. For example: A 10mg dose could dwindle down to a mere 0.00072mg within about 24 hours, based on a 3 hour half life (dividing the dose in half, and half of every subsequent half every 3 hours). As post #1 suggested, my findings also indica...

Dosage Conversion chart for Roxicodone immediate release from extended release ## Hello, Cappy! How are you? There is no conversion chart, since you're talking about the same medication, Oxycodone. Aloha, I get my medication via the VA pharmacy in Oahu, and recently my doctor changed my Rx to be oxycodone immediate release 5mg. I always look up my medication to make sure what's on the pill is what I should be getting. I got a tiny round white pill with 223 on one side and the other side has a score line. Googling gave the answer that it is oxycodone hydrochloride 5mg, but didn't say if was or wasn't immediate release. I called the VA pharmacy and they said it is immediate release, and it's made by Golden State Pharmacuticals. However, I can't seem to find much online about this company and/or if this pill is or isn't immediate release. Thank you so much for your help! :) ## Hey, I get the same brand medication from the VA. It is Oxycodone in a regular relea...

I was recently prescribed oxycodone IMM REL for my severe back pain and I wanted to know what is the difference between the regular oxycodone and the one I have now....please esplain if its addicted...reply thanks ## All Oxycodone has addictive potential, it doesn't matter what release type it is. IMM REL stands for Immediate Release, meaning the drug starts to be released as soon as the pill is in your stomach, regular release pills take 15 to 20 minutes to start working.
