Is Oxycodone Being Discontinued

i have a rx for it. can i get it filled? ## No, it has not been discontinued, but it has been restricted much more, so some pharmacies may not carry it. You'll need to go to various pharmacies and show them the prescription to find out which one still carries it and can fill it for you. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

hydrocodone bitartrate elixir is being discontinued, i can only take oral solutions, ; oral cancer surgery, is there a substitution> ## Hi jetta, From what I could gather, the following three pain medications are also listed as having an oral liquid solution available: methadone oxycodone dilaudid (hydromorphone) There probably are many more options out there, but those are just a few possible alternatives I came across after a quick google search. I would also recommend discussing other options with your doctor, since he/she knows your medical history and can make certain suggestions based on what's worked for you in the past. I hope this helps! ## thank you david, they have replaced my lortab elixir with the hydrocodone 7.5/3.25 instead of 7.5/500-- i did not know they had an ...

My new pharmacist ran out of Endocet 5 mg, ad gave me Ratio Oxycocet. She was insisting it's exactlythe same as Endocet, but I can tell the difference. I have to take more tablets of the Oxycocet, as they're not as strong as Endocet. My pharmacist and Shoppers Drug Mart's pharmacists also told me the same thing that Endocet 5 mg is discontinued. Is that true? Thank you. ## They both contain 5mgs of Oxycodone, and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, they are just manufactured by different companies. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Ref: Endocet Information If you aren't happy with the efficacy of the Ratio Oxycocet, you could try a different pharma...

Can it help insomnia? ## Hello, Jo! How are you? These must be very old tablets, this marking was discontinued back in 2007 or early 2008, I don't remember the exact date. They were manufactured by Qualitest Pharmaceuticals and contain 5mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. That said, while it can cause drowsiness, it is not intended to treat insomnia, nor should it be used for such. It should only be taken for pain if your doctor has prescribed it for you. Is there anything else I can help with?

I was on Oxy Ir 5, taken off market, then put on oxycodone capsule tan brown, now they are not avaliable, substituted 5mg QLT. do not work. are all of the capsule..even 15mg off market? what is still avaliable? ## I too was on the capsules and now my pharmacy can no longer get them and I have been switched to tablets. Part of the FDA's war on drugs. The only war is being waged on chronic pain sufferers. ## I agree with the effectiveness of OXIR - I was never told that it was not available, but instead the tablet was a substitution. Does anyone know if the capsules have been permanently discontinued?? If so, I shall have to switch to another medication. Very sad for those of us trying to live with chronic/acute debilitating pain. Thanks!! ## i had shoulder surgery and was given oxy 5...

is the endocet/percocet 10/325 yellow pill being discontinued if so why ## There have been shortages recently, but at this time, I am not aware of it being discontinued. Learn more Percocet details here. Has someone told you that it was being discontinued? ## is there a shortage in Indiana of hydrocodone 10\650 or 10\325 made by the maunfactuer endo? Is the problem ENDO or the drug itself as it seems available by other generic maker of both strengths. ## i need to correc this post i meant oxycodone as i knoe hydrocodone is lortcet. sorry ## The reason for the shortages is that the Percocet 10/650 or any pain medications with more than 325mg of acetamenaphen is being discontinued at of Jan, 1, 2014. So most pain perscriptions being written to patients that were the 10/650 are being chang...

is it true that endocet10-325 is no longer available, and if so why? ## Hi Thomas, If you run a google search for "Endocet Discontinued", you'll find that various websites do actually list Endocet as being discontinued; however they do not offer any specific reasons as to why. That said, I can't say for certain that it truly is discontinued, otherwise I think it would say so under normal Endocet search results. Some pharmacies may have stopped prescribing it due to the higher dose of Oxycodone, but it might be best to just ask the pharmacy directly if they are carrying it. I hope this helps! ## It has been increasingly difficult to fill my monthly prescription for Endocet, and now it is totally unavailable. It would cost me over $800.00 per month for Percocet, and when I...

Do you currently distribute oxycodone er with 80 on one side and OC on the other? ## this site does not manufacture, sell, nor prescribe any medications, this is an information only website. That said, the original Oxycontin with the OC marking was manufactured by Purdue, not Ethex, they were only a licensed distributor. Additionally, the original formulation with the OC marking is no longer being manufactured. Purdue has discontinued it and is only manufacturing the new formulation with the OP marking. Are there any questions or comments?

small round light orange pill, has a M on 1 side and the numbers 565 on the other side. ## First off, there is no Percocet tablet, on the U.S. market, that contains 40mgs of Oxycodone. I believe the tablet you are looking at has the marking M 595 and this is an old, discontinued 40mg time released Oxycodone tablet, a generic for Oxycontin. Due to the risks of abuse and diversion, the generics are no longer being manufactured. It is not a Percocet equivalent, because it is time released and doesn't contain Acetaminophen. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and dizziness. Read more: Are there any comments or questions?

This is a small round blue pill that has a M with a square around it on one side and 15 on the other side ## You have Oxycodone 15mg (generic Roxicodone) made by Malinckrodt Pharmaceutical. Unless your son(s) have a prescription for this drug they should not have this. Oxycodone is a very powerfull narcotic pain medication. ## A round, blue pill with an M in a box on one side, and a 15 on the other was manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, and they list it as having contained 15mgs of Morphine in an extended release formulation. This tablet has been discontinued. NDC: 00406-8315 Here's an image to confirm: The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. ...

What is this pill? It is white, scored on one side only, front has Endo then 602, (the E is in cursive). It is smaller than dime but bigger than pencil eraser. I did not take it, I have looked everywhere for description, no luck. I was told it is a pain medication. ## That is correct, the tablet with the marking ENDO 602 was manufactured by Endo Pharmaceuticals, and they list it as having contained 5mgs of Oxycodone, and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. NDC: 60951-0602 This tablet has now been discontinued. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Got a pill that had OC on the front and 40 on the back...Took it and felt nothing... Looked at pics online and noticed the 4 on the 40 imprint was different. .. the online pics has the 4 open and not joined...Actually mine looked like ( 40).. the 4 is closed not open... im thinking its fake.. ## Hello, Rufus! How are you? It most likely was, because these are no longer being manufactured. Purdue changed the formulation to help prevent abuse and the new tablets use the marking OP on them. They discontinued the original formulation with the OC on them. The FDA lists Oxycodone as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. It's best not to take anything that hasn...
