oxycontin 40mg versus opana 30mg
oxycontin 40mg versus opana 30mg, which one helps most? ## It really depends on the person and which one works better for them. The 30mgs of Opana, in this case, is the more potent of the two, if that's what you're asking. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

Taking Oxycontin but being switch to Opana ER
I have some very painful condition which I am on Oxycontin 30 mg twice a day and 10/325 oxycodone / APAP. I am on disability I am 36 years old and when my medicare kicks in and my drug plan does not cover Oxycontin so I had a list of drugs they would cover and Opana ER is one that is covered and he wants to start me on Opana ER 10 mg he mention fentanyl patches also I am looking for pain relief not the high. So one works good and it does make me high I find with it. Then if the medicine is really good and make me high then I have make a choice on how much pain relief. I am just to the point I will try anything to make my pain better so I can live a half way normal life would be great. ## Any high that you experience from one should only be a temporary side effect, they usually last abou... ...

Opana
Has anybody tried OPANA VS OC 80s. Any feedback would be helpful ## What dosage of the Opana? The Oxymorphone in it is actually twice as strong as the Oxycodone, so if you were taking 40mgs of it, then the equivalent dose of Oxycodone would be 80mgs. Both can be effective at controlling pain, it just requires a dosage adjustment. You should also know that there are no more Oxycontin OCs. Purdue has changed the formulation and they are now Oxycontin OP. Are there any questions or comments? Does anyone else have advice to add? ## i have and they work fair for pain but made me very tired. ## DO NOT GET THE NEW OPANA 40MG ER, THEY ARE JUCK A LORTAB 10/325 WORK BETTER BEFORE A OPANA WOULD BLOW OXYCONTIN THE NEW ONE (OP)AWAY BUT NOT NOW,MY DR PUT ME BACK ON THE NEW OPANA DO NOT WORK IN 2 WEEK... ...

Difference betwween 0pana and oxycontin
I have MS and need pain relief I don't like the stigma oxycontin has to it. I simply don't find it helpful. Is Opana a good subsitute. I take 5 mg of oxycodone for break thru pain. but sometimes it is not enough. If I don't deal with the pain oppropriatly I get sicker and more fatique. I am not familiar with narcotics at all. I will admit a fear of them. Any answers Please ## BEEN ON OPANA AND THE ER FOR ABOUT 10 MONTHS NOW. I LIKE IT. DOESN'T SEEM TO MAKE YOU SLEEPY AFTER THE 2nd DAY. MY PAIN LEVEL STAY AT ABOUT A 3 TO A 6 NOW WHEN IT WAS A 10. ## ## I have herniated disks in my t-spine and have tried almost everything out there. I started on 20 mg 2 times a day but it didn't last long enough, so I switched to 10 mg 3 times a day which gave me better coverage. Howev... ...

Switch to Opana
I was wounded in Combat. My doc has had me on Oxycontin with Oxycodone for breakthru pain. The Opana is WORLDS better for pain without the euphori. I highly recommend it. ## the Opana is slightly stronger than the oxycontin depending upon the old doseage, the Opana also has hi sedation effects so please be careful if behind a steering wheel ...

Oxycodone or opana for chronic back pain
I am currently on 4 30mg oxycodone ir a day and 2 2mg dillaudid a day and the oxycodone only last 2 hours and the dilaudid doesn't work at all.I've had 2 major surgeries and I'm I'm only 24 and day in day out in extreme constant pain. My question is would switching to OxyContin the new formula be as effective or would swithing to opana be better? Does it have a good euphoria to it Does it have the same euphoria or is it less effective than what I'm on? If anybody can help me out with that I would appreciate it. ## The euphoria that some people experience from these types of medications is purely a temporary side effect and has no bearing on whether or not they are working. It will always wear off as your body gets used to the current dosage and you'd have to keep... ...

conversion from opana er 15mg to ms cottin
My Dr has given me the option to switch from Opana ER 45mg to msCottin ER! How many MG of MSCottin ER will it take to equale the Opana ER 45mg?? ## Hello, Sharon! How are you? Opana is actually much stronger than Morphine, so you'd need 135mgs of the MS Contin to equal each 45mgs of the Opana. That's quite a lot to take. Is the Opana no longer working for you? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Oxycontin or Fentanyl might be better options. ## Thank you for the information. It's helped a lot! I am switching medications because of several different stomach problems I have. About 10 years ago I had gastric bypass surgery that went horribly wrong... ...

is oxycodone different from oxymorphine
What are the difference between OxyContin and opana? Why would someone need to take both? ## Hello, Dee! How are you? They are both narcotic analgesic, though different. In many cases one may be prescribed in a time released formulation to help someone get better control of their pain and the other in a regular release for breakthrough pain. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ...

new pain med
hello...I would like to know your results with either opana or morphine..i started going to pain management AGAIN after several years and was given oxycontin, 15mg x 2 per day. this does absolutely nothing for pain..i go back in a week and was wondering if opana or morphine might be better?? just wondering...thanks to all for reading, HOUSE ## Hello, House! How are you? They are all effective analgesics, but it really depends on you and how your body responds to them. What pain medications were effective for you in the past? That might give a better idea of where to go next. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ...

Roxicodone 224 30 Mg
the old oxys were better when on the new ones it got worse why change it?on opana er 30's was onoxy 60s opana DOES NOTHING WHY? ## what does a roxi 224 look like ## Opana contains the active ingredient Oxymorphone and it is very effective for some people, but like any medication, it doesn't work for everyone. Have you tried talking to your doctor to see what else you can try? If the new Oxycontin formulation isn't working for you, perhaps you should try MS Contin? It is a form of time released Morphine. The 30mg Oxycodone pill with the marking 224 on it should be round and blue, with the 224 on one side. It is a generic for Roxicodone, which is a regular release formulation. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Read more: Are there ... ...

mild narcotic please reply
QI am looking for a good mild/moderate narcotic for break through pain . I am allready on hydro/norco 10/325 and it only las about 3-4 hours and thenn wears off. Any sugestions. Three bad dis in neck and fibromyagia with severe migranies i think being put out of me out misery would be better lol. ## Hi Vonda, I'm sorry to hear about what you're going through. I personally don't have much experience with narcotic pain medications, but it sounds like you may want to speak with your doctor about trying an extended release narcotic pain medication such as Opana ER (ER stands for extended release), Oxycontin, or Morphine ER. Also, I do know from personal experience that exercise can really benefit those with fibromyalgia. My father has fibromyalgia and whenever he starts back on ... ...

How To Break Down New Opana 20 Snort
EVEN BREAKING THE PILL DOWN WITH {edited for safety reasons} its all dissolved and instant release and it also hold some of the time release too even dissolving it and works all day... as far as snorting, forget it cause these junkies that try to do it using microwave, etc are wasting the product by heating it for one and with a 20mg pill, you would spend more time trying to perfect the method to a point where it just isnt worth it...trust me i love to intranasal too but cant with these new op formula...these new op are good but just not for iv or snorting. good luck ## this is 2 weeks in now. after being on 4 10mg percacet daily for pain. now getting 2 20mg oxycontin and 2 10mg percocet breakthru. so, overall i am feeling so much better than the past 3 months. all the doctors are afrai... ...
