It is commonly sold over the counter in a lower dosage as Aleve or generic or store brands. This is, however, a prescription strength tablet, so your child should not have it. It is illegal to have this without a valid prescription. The other operative question you may want to look into is what your child thinks it is, do they think it is something they can get high off of, like a narcotic? Have they been taking other medications that they shouldn't be?

Naproxen is the generic name for Aleve, The difference is that Aleve is OTC because it is only 220 mg and Naproxen is prescription because it is 500 mg. Vicodin is a combination of hydrocodone and tylenol. Hydrocodone is a narcotic and can be addicting. Hey guys, the IP 109 / 500 is naproxen. But if you have an oblong pill with IP 109 and a line on the back I think it's Vicodin 5mg. Personally I think they look way too much alike. I've seen Naproxen and have been told Vicodin has this imprint as well. Are Naproxen and Vicodin the same? ## Naproxen and Vicodin are two very different pain medications. To my understanding, the similarities found in the imprint are just a sign that they had been manufactured or redistributed by the same company (Amneal Pharmaceuticals). I do take oxycodone 5 mg every 12 hours and I take naproxen 440 mg every 8 hours. I have swelling of my feet ankles and lower legs, mostly on the left. The anti-inflamatory properties of the naproxen doesn't seem to help the swelling to reduce at all. What could be inhibiting this? I am also type 2 diabetic and take 1000 mg twice a day. I also mix turmeric and ginger into my herbal tea, at least once per day.
